The receptionist said she didn't have any openings that day, but would call me if there was a cancel. Sure enough, they called that same day. I was so impressed with the staff and the routine for recording a new patient. They were so sweet and friendly. Dr. Jeff Shields recognized the polyp and froze it, then sniped it off. My dog was calm and seemed to be in love with him and everyone else there. Dr. Shields was kind, explained everything, including his views on care of teeth, and gave me good information about the Westie breed. This is my 3rd Westie in 35 years, so we were able to agree on everything. He is incredibly well informed! The cost for the visit was very affordable, and being retired for 20 years, I am grateful for that! All in all, I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a compassionate and competent veterinarian. Kudos to them!!

That being said, it's clearly stated on the application that it may take 10 days to hear from a volunteer and that's exactly how long it took for me. Once I did hear back I was then put in touch with the foster mom, who was absolutely wonderful! We communicated on a regular basis. We met at a park, we then scheduled a home visit, and we then adopted the most AMAZING boy! All of that happened over the course of a few weeks, but that's not out of the ordinary at all. I was also told by the foster mom, right up front, there was another family interested in him and going through the process as well. So if they would have won out, that's just life, regardless of how far I was in the process. Most of these dogs come from really bad circumstances, so an exhaustive process to find the perfect home SHOULD be done and they SHOULD be picky. I couldn't be happier!

There was a question about his Simparica Trio so they reached out to me for clarification. Then one of their volunteers came to my house to make sure it passed the dog friendly test. We had a visit with the dog we ended up adopting. It was all very thorough and I couldn't be more pleased with the whole process. They know their foster dog went to a loving home and I felt good knowing they wouldn't adopt out if it wasn't the right fit. This rescue is all volunteers who just want to find good homes for unhoused dogs.

I chose this practice blindly since I was moving almost next door to them, up from Worthington OH to Delaware OH. One of my first questions to him was to ascertain if he was willing to be our primary vet when Harry's care came under a cardiologist at OSU. All cardiologists will diagnose and determine the medicines necessary, blood tests, etc. that are to be turned over to the primary vet for carrying out the orders from the cardiologist. This is common practice. Dr. Kaser is not interested in being a part of a team effort to keep my dog alive and has said he does not want to be a part of anything to harm my dog. Well, withholding critical tests and refusing to prescribe per the cardiologists requests, in my opinion, is harming my dog as long as I choose to stay, which I will no longer darken his door. Harry, a 13 yo Pomeranian, has been to OSU Cardiology/ER twice since July and COVE ER 5 times and each time came back with progressive heart issues that require targeted medication and blood work. Now I am stuck here in mid winter with no place to go since the places I've called are not taking new patients right now. So COVE generously will take Harry in for his required blood work to determine if he is taking the medicine at a safe level, and when weather breaks I will have to drive almost 20 miles to his old vet in Worthington - The Vet Clinic - who have stepped up for Harry's care on numerous occasions when Dr. Taser would not intervene on Harry's behalf. If you do not ever think you will require a specialist for your beloved pet, then this would be the place to go - as I said, Conner and Becky are superb techs and Harry loves them. But if you someday think you will require a Team, go elsewhere, as there is no "I" in TEAM.
