Here's the insider scoop: Schnitzel: Perfectly crisp, gold-fried, and so tender I may or may not have audibly moaned mid-bite. Goulash (for real gouoners): A hearty, rich stew that had my friends waxing poetic about Eastern Europe, right in the South Shore. Sides: Beets and seasonal veggies stole the show; bright, fresh, and seasoned like a chef who actually gives a damn. The décor is charmingly rustic-Bohemian: soft lighting, vintage accents, and enough character to make it feel like you stumbled into a cozy Prague café. It's welcoming, warm, and strangely enchanting. Only downside? They didn't have Pilsner Urquell on tap, and my dream Czech pairing dashed. But the food more than made up for it with flavor heavy enough to forgive a brewery oversight. Would I go back? Absolutely. Bohemia is a solid little European escape; right here in Brossard.

We were initially turned away for not having a reservation, ordered to go and were eventually told we could have a table. My daughter felt we were "profiled" and turned away for being American since after we were sat two other couples came in and were sat who clearly did not have reservations, but spoke French. Truthfully, I was shocked but did not care because the food was so delicious. We had the schnitzel and the duck. If you go, speak French!

What a relief it is to finally have a great independent coffee shop/café so close to home. This delightful new addition to the South Shore opened about a year ago and has already become one of our favourites. Being a small family-run business, we were welcomed with so much warmth and hospitality that we did not want to leave. Inside it is warm and cozy with mismatched tables and chairs, coffee-shop blackboards and charming decor, great for getting some work done or catching up with family and friends. We ordered a chicken panini, mocha and cappuccino. The chicken panini was one of the best I have ever had - a generous size full of flavour and fresh ingredients, served alongside house potatoes - delicious! The owner himself prepares all the meals and from the big smile on his face, it is obvious to see he does so with so much love and passion. Being an Italian coffee shop, it is no doubt that the drinks were also spot-on - I just wish the cups were larger as for the price, they were a little on the small side. Seeing the rest of the menu and the talent of the owner & chef, we have already decided to return again for lunch/dinner. For fresh homemade food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional hospitality - Café Lazio is the place!

We wanted to try the Tomahawk but it wasn't on the menu so we decided to do steak on another day. To drink we ordered the apple cider. The cider was delicious and very crispy like I was eating a Cortland apple. We were served crispy bread with herb butter. The bread was crispy like toast and the butter was soft. It came with a small jar of baby dill pickles. They had a good crunch! We started with the lobster bisque. This bisque was very tasty. We could taste the lobster and it was very light; not a heavy or overly creamy soup. Pooh ordered the seafood risotto and I took the Dijon chicken. Both dishes were amazing. Pooh really enjoyed his risotto. He likes the addition of zucchini to give it a little crunch . The seafood was cooked to perfection. My chicken was super tender. I could taste the Dijon mustard. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the green beans were crispy and cooked perfectly. Our server was very polite and checked on us regularly. He apologized for not getting the wine when our meal arrived. Our only complaint was the wine. Usually the wine arrives right before the meal but our meal arrived first and we ate slowly as we waited for the wine to come. The wine arrived five minutes later and the server explained that it wasn't cold enough to give us. By the time I finished eating (because we had to wait for the wine) my potatoes were cold. We finished our evening with dessert. I had the lemon-in-a-jar and Pooh had the Crème brûlée. Pooh's crème brûlée was perfect. My lemon dessert was too sweet. The tartness of the lemon was overpowered by the sweetness of the almond crumble We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent but they need to put the white wine in a cooler sooner.

I order a salmon meal. The salmon was tasteless but thankfully the sauce helped it. The mocktail was good. They had quite good amount of people there on a Sunday but definitely had open tables if I wanted to sit at a two seater but they suggested I go to the bar which is huge, but no one else was sitting there. Overall an okay spot, nice inside, my one dish was mediocre but not sure what the other dishes taste like.

It's a between breakfast and lunch place but it's not really your typical brunch place. I ordered their linguini con vongole; seafood pasta with tomato sauce. It was quite good actually. Lots of clams meat; it's decorated with 6 clams but there's more if you dig into the pasta. Waitress were friendly. Doesn't take too long for food to come either. One thing have to say though not very vegetarian/vegan friendly but again they don't advertise it either for it. Overall nice little place to go in family relax.
