Espero regresar pronto! En:My girlfriend and I stopped by as we were going down south blvd. Charlotte is known for having a bunch of food trucks but this is probably one of the best I've tried. Everything was such a good price and the tacos were amazing. I must say though if you're open minded, you must try the quesadillas. I wasn't expecting the size nor how good it was going to taste. The carrot cake is a must try. I am not much of a sweets person but I'd go back just for the carrot cake it was so good. The staff were amazing and answered all our questions and let us even try different items off the menu. So thank you all again for your patience and being so kind. Please go visit if you're nearby!

Best Mexican food in CLT. Extremely authentic and very very very good. The service was also outstanding. We had the Asado tacos fresh off the compa and tres leches for desert. They are moving to the old Angela's location a block north!!

I stumbled upon this place after ordering tacos from one of my usual trucks. I wanted horchata and my usual doesn't have this. I was super impressed!! Also, my boyfriend who is a horchata connoisseur said "tell them it's 6/5 stars and top 3 ever!" Next up, I plan to try the tacos. If you check out the website, you can see the menu. Their grand opening was late March 2025! We highly recommend this spot based on the horchata alone.

Bomb food Truck. Recently opened and went viral on TikTok. Well worth the wait, and really amazing tacos. Super simple; but absolutely so good.

Amazing service!! And the best Al Pastor taco I've ever had - coming from someone who lived in central and southern CA. I will be back.

The best tacos in all of Charlotte hands down. Wish salsa was free, but that's my only complaint. So flavorful and great homemade tortillas.

My husband really enjoyed his burrito so I tried that my next time. I've been ordering their California Burrito ever since! It's not a saucy burrito so I have to ask for the Jalapeno Cilantro sauce. It reminds me of a sauce I used to get at my favorite taco truck in California (Leo's Taco Truck), Get it & Thank me later! I always get my order to go but there is seating outside.

They also serve burritos, which looked really good. I asked the staff what they recommended, and I ended up getting the al pastor taco and one of the beef tacos. I can't remember the name of the beef taco, but both were delicious. They definitely do not skimp on the onions and cilantro, so if you like fresh toppings, you'll be happy. My beef taco was just a little tough, but it was still full of flavor and very enjoyable. The ordering process is simple. You order at the front, they give you a number, and then they call you when your food is ready. There are a few tables outside and small tables inside near the kitchen. During lunch, the other side of the restaurant was closed, but I could see the hidden speakeasy style dining area. It looked really cute, and I definitely want to check it out on my next visit. The only thing to keep in mind is the parking. I went during lunchtime, and the parking lot was packed. I had to drive around a few times before I found a spot, but it was worth it. Overall, I really enjoyed El Malo. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was looking for. I can definitely see this becoming my go to spot whenever I'm craving a quick taco. I'll definitely be back. :::writing If you're posting this on Yelp, I'd probably give it a 4.5 or 5 star vibe based on what you described.

I originally was going to place the order online, but they're online option said it was unavailable so I went inside and sat down at the bar. The service was OK though it seemed most people did not speak English, which is fine. It just made it kind of harder to communicate. That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. That's sad.

Tacos El Nevado came highly recommended, so I headed over for lunch with high hopes. The restaurant was packed when I arrived around 1:30 p.m., which is usually a good sign. It appears to be a converted fast-food building with its own parking lot, outdoor patio, and a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the Charlotte heat pushing triple digits, the dining room was comfortable and bustling. Service was friendly from the start, and I was quickly seated with ice water, lemon, fresh chips, and three house-made salsas. The chips were excellent--fresh, crisp, and clearly made in-house. The standout salsa for me was the red salsa, which packed plenty of heat and flavor. There was also a tomatillo salsa and a creamy green avocado-style salsa. Both were good, although the tomatillo leaned a little too tart for my taste. The menu is extensive, with everything from seafood dishes and quesadillas to tacos and larger combination plates. As someone who loves sampling a little of everything, I was hoping for more traditional combo options, but this menu takes a different approach. I ordered the crispy taco plate with rice and beans. The presentation was attractive, with the tacos served upright in a metal rack alongside refried beans and Mexican rice. The rice and beans were both delicious and easily the highlight of the plate. Where things got mixed for me was the taco filling. I was expecting a straightforward seasoned ground beef taco, but the beef filling tasted more like a guisado-style preparation with a softer texture and a slightly tangy flavor profile. It may simply be a regional style or a misunderstanding when ordering, but it wasn't what I had anticipated. The chicken taco, however, was excellent. Tender, flavorful, and clearly made with higher-quality chicken than you typically find in a crispy taco. After trying it, I immediately wished I had ordered all chicken. While this visit didn't completely win me over, I don't think it's fair to judge a restaurant by one dish. The packed dining room, friendly service, fresh chips, excellent salsas, and strong chicken taco all suggest there's more to explore here. Next time, I'd skip the crispy beef tacos and dive into the street tacos or some of the house specialties that seem to be what many regulars were ordering. Tacos El Nevado didn't become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte on this visit, but it earned a second chance. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Keep exploring. Sometimes the next great meal is just one menu item away.

The cheese was more burnt so the wrap had that unique flavor you get with well cooked cheese (make a grilled cheese. burn some of the excess cheese off dripping off the side , then eat it and you'll know what I mean). Before the server brought it out I could seem a couple of employees picking at one half of the burrito - which had me concerned. I assume it had some aluminum foil pieces from where the burrito was sliced in half. Sincerely hoping that was all it was. The employees seemed to be just standing around not talking to one another while there were tables that needed to be cleaned for new guests.

The idea is that place your order, pick a seat and your order is delivered to you. We picked our seats at the bar first because it was pretty packed for Friday night. We took our time to browse the menu but we knew we'd be getting the IG viral Sorbet flights we'd seen. Now on first attempt we got our food, it was completely cold. We informed one of the waiters and asked for our meals to be remade. So upon getting my food second time: 1 Birria Taco, 1 Chips and Queso and 1 Chicken Tinga, it was warm. The Birria taco was my favorite as the chicken didn't hold too much flavor for me. Now we ordered 2 Sorbet flights. We didn't get them as advertised.. no rim coating and the flavor offerings were duplicated. As we compared what we got from other patrons we saw what was missing and the flavor differences. Overall our meal and drinks were underwhelming and we let the staff and manager on hand know. She apologized for not making our Sorbets with rim coating and the food mishap. As guest of NC for the weekend, our host told us we'd gone to the wrong location.
