I wanted to update this review yet again. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, Compass Health System has gone above and beyond for it's patients to continue Quality Healthcare. They were quick (almost immediate) to organize telemedicine and phone calls in order to keep Patients' health managed and medications up to date. The transition from in person to telemedicine was handled expertly. I was very impressed with the professionalism and promptness with which this was handled. From the office staff,doctors, therapists, to the people coordinating appointments via text, it has been one less stress during this challenging covid-19 time. They automatically schedule appointments and send reminders via text. You are contacted previous to your appointment to answer all your health assessment questions. This is done by Compass Health coordinators. All of the interactions have been top-notch. My appointments are on time and still the same high quality of care, albeit in a new format. Lastly, Dr. Nobile is simply amazing. She is attentive, efficient, professional, highly knowledgeable and makes me feel seen and heard. My sister and I had an appointment on 4/1/20, and COMPASS HEALTH even called my sister confirming the appointment using their automatic voice greeting calling center asking to press 1 to confirm. They're also advertising opened in both Yelp and Google. When both my sister and I got to the office, they were closed with a sheet on the door telling their patients to call via telemedicine and call 888-852-6672 due to coronavirus. When I called them as I was driving home, the operator said to me that my appointment was for the 4/2/20, and my sister was for 4/1/20. Which ironically, I still didn't get their call canceling or notifying me about the telemedicine 4/2/20 appointment. In any case, they made us drive over to my sister's appointment on 4/1/20 without informing her of the office closure. He stated they would have a supervisor call me back, and here we are 24 hours later, no return call. It's like they don't even care. I sure they're going to TRY to bill all the Insurance Companies as they treated their patients, which they NEVER DID. I don't understand how could a mental health clinic and psychiatrist could be so insensitive towards their patients, letting them drive or take the bus to their clinic, putting them in unnecessary exposure. Compass Health Systems PA should be ashamed of themselves, knowing that other good honest health care-worker are putting their life to help others AT THIS MOMENT. Even with my sister in great need for her Psychosis medication every 30 days and missing them put her in great danger. It's evident Compass Health Systems PA DON'T' care. They even prescribed the wrong medications, prescribing me the wrong medications on 3/4/20, and charging my insurance. Thank god I check the label before taking my meds. When I called them, they tried to blame Walgreens pharmacy. They could of killing me prescribing the wrong medications for a condition I don't even have. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW COULD THEY TREAT THEIR PATIENT OR ANYONE THIS WAY. Or if they don't respond to your emails and allow their patients to go into instant withdrawal of medication that can cause seizures. Forget trying to get anyone to call you after hours. My doctor is great but the staff and call center is terrible ! Been 3 weeks haven't gotten my important medicine . My pharmacy is out of this medicine and is not getting it anytime and a doctor or has to put in a other prescription in a other pharmacy. I thought I would give this place a second chance. I called to make an appointment. I am a self pay and they said it would be 75 dollars because I am an existing patient. I took the next day off and drove an hour to get there. The office staff rudely told me that it will be 265 for new patients. They said I haven't been here for a year and now I am considered new. What a complete waste of time, Do Not bother calling the billing dept they only want you to email due to high call volumes ( You would think they would put that on their bill then as our time is valuable also.) When I explained the situation to them they wanted me to send information that they have at there fingertips as it is public information and not my first call to this company to be told how people fib (Calling me a liar) to get out of a bill that isn't my responsibility in the first place. TERRIBLE. This place is one of the most poorly run practices I've ever been to. My appointment was at 9:20 AM and I did not get to see the doctor until 11:00 AM. No this is not a typo - I sat in the doctor's office (which is dark, cold, and the ceiling panels were nearly falling off) for an HOUR AND FORTY minutes. The doctor (Derek) offered no apology for having made me wait nearly TWO HOURS to see him and proceeded to lecture me in an arrogant and condescending tone. Drs Segal and Noblie are fantastic and worth waiting for. As is psychologist dr Barbabra Krystal Rose really easy to talk to finally got my medicine right for the first time in years best staff. Friendly and you can get your script filled right there. I have been going to this office for a few years now. Besides their incompetence with their wait times on the phone and waiting to be seen by a doctor, when you are seen, you are either seen by an intern or an assistant. Both in which are not qualified to prescribe meds. I currently can't remember the name of my psychiatrist because I've never met her before. I don't even know what she looks like. Yet she's been prescribing me klonapin the last year for my chronic severe tinnitus. I don't believe this to be legal, however I could be wrong. My attorney will clarify. Recently because of Covid, we've had over the phone appointments. As usual the assistant asked me if I feel like drinking. I told her I drink the same amount since I have been coming there since day one. Once a week on Friday. She hangs up on me and I get a phone call from the prescribing psychiatrist, my doctor, the doctor I've never met or spoken to before. She asks me if I have alcohol withdrawal and says she's taking me off klonapin cold turkey. Again, she asked me if I have alcohol withdrawal from drinking once a week. I was treated like I was not even a person. Treated with no dignity. Then when I confronted the topic of her never meeting with me in person, she became emotionally unhinged and hung up on me. I should of knew this place was not for me first time I made appointment when I get their they did not have me in the computer that should of been the first sign then my therapist made me a second appointment got their saw the student first who did not really type half what I said when the doctor call me she had to ask me everything again that should of been the next sign but no when I got my med refill they send me med that I did not need going for my mental med and I get skin cream med really not good at all from a doctor who did not see me and is not my primary doctor so who did I see another student I can not trust a place who order medication that I don't need and seen in student who don't know what they are doing and order drug that don't fix my treatment read more

Something they changed without disclosing: My appointments are scheduled 90 days apart. My prescriptions can only be written every 30 days, before Covid and their switch to phone appointments the doctor would just send them to the pharmacy monthly, no problem. NOW they have to have another doctor call me and charge me for an appointment every month just to get refills. They billed me without telling me these reminder calls for refills would be considered appointments. Try to get through to their office - no way - even Cigna insurance can't get through! I'm looking for a new doctor. Compass is awful; I plan to report their tactics to the State of Florida. read more

Compass Health System-- Took 40 minutes to schedule appointment in any of the Broward location. Compass system / procedures needs to be reviewed, analyzed, and modified ASAP. Also, only a couple of MD's take "Florida State Title 21"; and their schedule is full for mos. The gentleman who took the call was super courteous and patient. Not his fault this phone call lingered. Doctors and PAs are amazing, however the call center is horrible. Unfortunately there is no way to by pass them either. I asked for the offices main number and they said they didn't have one? Not sure if this is even correct information I was given since the women I spoke to sounded very unsure of what they were saying. Nevertheless, My prescription was sent to a pharmacy which doesn't cover my insurance, upon finding out the pharmacy recommended I try a different pharmacy and have my doctor send the prescription there. I've already called twice (reaching the call center where both Sari and another woman were sarcastic, inattentive, and almost laughing over the phone when I was explaining the situation and requesting they send the prescription over to a new pharmacy). I had to repeat myself several times for them to even pull up my information, meaning they aren't even dedicating the time or attention every patient deserves. Besides waiting a gruesome 20 minutes to reach an actual human being at the call center, Sari made me feel like she wasn't even paying attention and that my message was definitely not going to get across to my doctor. So much so, that I even asked if I should go to the office and request for them to send the prescription, to which she answered "yeah, if you want." When asked why it had taken so long for the previous message to be relayed her response was "it was Friday." Mind you I called in the morning on Friday to request my prescription be transferred to the new pharmacy. So if it's Friday does that equate to not doing work? If so, do they also have the same policy for Monday's? Since the message was still not sent to my doctor? It's already reaching the end of business day and I still am without my prescription. I'm taken back by the level of unprofessionalism displayed by these two women especially given that they are working/ being a third party to a field of medicine. I have also emailed them to see if that would speed up the process but have received no response. It's unfortunate that such amazing doctors have to be associated with such unprofessional people (e.i. Call center). read more

I would never recommend this shit show of a doctors office. They book you a time and when you get there early not only do they make you wait hours and hours but then they make excuses for why they are taking other patients before you. They triple book for a time slot so the waiting room is always full and they are rude and not accommodating. They don't even have a working office phone number because of supposed call volume issues. How the fuck can you expect to get help when you can't even reach anyone? I was desperate and needed a doctor so I went three times but now that I see how they operate I'd rather struggle and find a new better facility and doctor than to waste anymore of my time here waiting for nothing. I don't know how this came about but I have never contacted Compass Health Systems and Segal Institute both companies operate under same President and same address in North Miami to make any appointments on behalf of my special needs son and I am responsible to schedule and coordinate all of my son's appointments, to manage his appointment book and to take him to all his doctors appointments. Compass Health Systems and Segal Institute are not in the list of my my son's health providers. In reviewing my son's Medicare Summary Report, I noticed that since January 2013 through June 2013 Compass Health Systems in North Miami, FL has been billing MEDICARE for five to seven visits a month for supposedly services rendered by a practitioner nurse and a doctor. These services were NEVER rendered to my son. I have called them three times but it has been impossible to get through to speak with anyone live so I have had to leave voice messages in the Billing Department's voice mail box asking the woman in the recording to return my calls to explain how and why they are doing this. She has never returned any of my calls. I don't know how and why they have my special needs son's Medicare # and his home address. The president of this company and Segal Institute recently sent my special needs son a welcoming generic letter :"Dear Patient" mailed to his home address without a date and without a signature ????? How this happened? Since no one in Billing has bothered to return my calls, I have reported this problem to MEDICARE and another government agency to investigate this situation for us. 7/31/13 UPDATE. Vanessa called to try to help me understand why Compass Health Systems had been billing Medicare since November 2012 through July 2013 WITHOUT EVER SEEN MY SON. She explained that at one point in 2011 I had called Compass Health Systems to make a FIRST TIME appointment to see Dr. Maria Del Sol or something like that name. Before scheduling an appointment, they MUST obtain a person's insurance information, name,address. I cancelled that appointment when I realized it was going to be difficult to contact them by phone. According to Vanessa,, Compass Health Systems "made the mistake" of billing Medicare after that one and last call to Compass Health Systems I made two years ago. She said they have another person with my son's same name. Can someone please makes sense of this. How a "patient's chart" is mixed up with another person with same name who did not have any medical chart because he was neveer a patient? I indicated to Vanessa I will have Medicare or the branch of government that investigates these issues to go to the bottom of this to verify whether in fact Compass Health Systems has another patient with exactly my son's first name, middle initial and last name. read more

I like my doctor who happens to be under Compass - however the appointment setters in the office are terrible - they put me on hold only forgot to press the hold button, they were dropping F bombs and being very low brow to say the least. They have messed up my son's appointments about 5 or 6 times and then send me a bill for no shows - then refuse to answer my call when I call the billing line. Example - I set an appointment to go to the Pembroke Pines Office - I arrive - they tell me that doctor is not at that office on that day and that I have to drive all the way to Oakland Park office. Another time we sat there , sat there - the intake staff took patients that had arrived after my son's appt time and we were there for over an hour - finally I had to leave because - it was obvious they had just skipped over us or forgotten us as like 4 different later appts were seen before us. The Oakland Park office has disgusting dirty chairs - those are not sanitary - you need to clean those. I am calling corporate today to see if anything changes because I like my son's doctor - but the group management is terrible. read more

I can not fathom with all the growth that is going on in Compass that there is one person who is in charge of prior authorizations. Since Dec. 15 I have been on a roller coaster ride. No wonder I attempted suicide in October an was hospitalized in I.C.U for the first few days. How could one person have so much power on who gets a prior authorization or not. To make things worst while I am sick in bed she is on Holiday for a week. The pharmacy closed for a week. What happens to the every day people like myself who needs medication. This is beyond frustrating it's infuriating and beyond my compensation. This needs to be address. It' a life that is at stake here. What gets me even more furious by now Ashley should know all the paperwork that needs to be done. I called Medicaid, had Medicaid fax over the necessary documents & what needs to be signed. I am the one that has been following up. The workers treat it like a joke. It's not a joke when I am going into my rent money.
