He was professional, helpful, and made the experience pleasant on a personal level. However, my issue is with the company's pricing practices, which felt like a clear bait-and-switch. I initially signed up under a promotional offer that provided a reduced rate for the first three months, with the understanding that it would then move to a set standard rate. However, before the promotional period even ended, I received notice that my rate would increase--by nearly 38% above the agreed-upon post-promotion rate. As a result, I didn't even receive a full month at the standard rate I originally agreed to before being hit with a significant increase. That feels misleading and undermines the terms presented at signup. Overall, it gives the impression that the company relies on promotional pricing to attract customers, only to quickly raise rates to offset those discounts.

I have had 2 storage units at this place since 2018, and overall was fairly happy until lately…read more Lately, if I'm going to be late, I keep in touch...yet not only do I get charged late fees (totally understandable) BUT today also received a "certified letter fee" of almost $10 AFTER I'd called, made a "good faith payment" and a promise to pay all that I was in arrears by a specified date. They did NOT have to ding me that additional $10, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when they charge not one...but TWO late fees + their monthly payments are pretty steep for where they're located...it's not only gouging their customers but lacking any real regard for them. For MONTHS last year my garage door was broken - I couldn't have gotten access if I'd needed to - I received no rebates or discounts for those many months, yet if I'm late, I'm charged out the wazoo. I've been a solid paying customer for years, but I'm very disappointed with this place right now.

They do not hold up their end of the contract. If you are late they charge a late fee, ok completely understandable. But they do not feel required to immediately unlock the unit when you have paid. They will wait days, giving the excuse they have 700 units and can't keep up with them all thus NOT withholding their end of the contract. Twice I have went to my paid unit and was not able to access it on a weekend when no one was in the office to help me. This year they had a huge theft of dozens of units, of course stating not their fault. This is in a unsavory part of town and the customer service is very poor and your belongings are NOT safe there.

Anyways, these guys made it a breeze while adding laughs along the way! They showed up right on time with a huge truck and maneuvered that bad boy on Bridge Avenue. If you know CLE neighborhoods, that's not an easy feat. They started right away with explaining everything we needed to know, had us sign paperwork and answered all questions we had. First, they told us the more we helped moved things ourselves, the quicker it would go which would essentially make it cheaper. They were totally OK with us helping shave some time off our end bill, which was a huge help. Secondly, these guys move FAST. The were tackling large furniture items left and right and I was surprised how quickly they moved. Honestly, I was worried about one of the guys who was a little on the smaller side (not an insult, just a bit lean), but he totally rocked through everything. And all this while carefully removing doors, not damaging walls and they fit everything perfectly and safely inside the truck. WOO! Third, we were just moving up the street, and they made sure they found the most efficient and quick way to get what was in the truck into our new house. They didn't wait around, racking up time and ultimately costs. Major bonus. Along the way they asked us where we wanted things, so by the time they were done, we had all our furniture in the right rooms. Lastly, these guys were so.nice. Like, really cool dudes. We bought them lunch and they took their "lunch break" time off our bill! And they were talkative and fun! Movers who are fun? Yes, they exist. I would recommend these guys to everyone. Heck, I'd invite them over for parties! The one little hiccup we had was a wasps nest that was located near our front door, which was the entrance best for loading in large items. Instead of freaking out, they found a new solution and kept going. The one guy was allergic (as am I), but eventually he just went right back to loading into the front without even thinking about it. Like I said, these guys are awesome. Highly recommended!

They did not use bubble wrap, or even packing paper. They threw delicate items, literally threw, I saw them, throwing them into boxes and just broke our PS5, our clocks, anything electrical. Anything delicate was damaged. They left doors broken in our new house. It was awful. I don't understand how they could be a professional company. When we went back to our original house, we found that they just left like 1/3 of our belongings were still there. But thrown around randomly on the floor just a complete mess, not packed. Just a horror story. We spent the next day trying to recover our stuff from the old house. And clean up after them. Thank God we moved the PC and laptops ourselves.

I will start out by saying in my years of experience with UHaul in general, which has only been…read moremaybe a dozen and a half times in twenty five or so years, I don't think I've EVER, EVER, had a smooth customer experience - EXEPT for ONE time when they had a location on Broadway Avenue in Bedford, which is gone now, and that was only because I happened to deal with the actual store manager that day. He was great and very helpful, as was the guy working with him that day. This was probably ten years ago at least though. Maybe more. I had a hitch put on my Outback and it was great. EVERY other time was simply to have a propane tank filled up, and I'm NOT kidding, it was never smooth. 100% of the time, and I'll say it again, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time, there are employees working who don't care or are simply overwhelmed with tasks. I have waited literally forty minutes just IN LINE to tell someone I'd like a tank filled because they have ten people in line waiting to be taken care of and the one or "maybe" two employees on duty, work with ZERO sense of urgency. So, I've personally come to the conclusion that they are most likely understaffed and overworked which leads to apathy, and I know in a lot of cases that's just it. Most of the people working there are good people but are working their butts off. Anyhow, I called this location today with just a question, a simple question that would have taken literally fifteen seconds to answer, but when I called a woman answered and asked if I could hold - and I said "Yes", and then I was waiting for fifteen minutes with the same, recorded message on loop every twenty seconds. I just hung up. UHaul is famous for their horrible customer service, in my opinion. How about, you know, STAFF ENOUGH PEOPLE to have a functioning business?
