When I contacted two other companies they said that the two items replaced should take no more than 15 mins. Fast forward and we get this bill for $386.93 which included an additional 1 hour labor charge of $198???? The tech was here for an hour working (we have cameras that can confirm) then we saw him sitting in our garage on his cell phone, supposedly writing up a report. We feel this is overcharge of $198.00 and should be refunded otherwise their $90 *Special* is false advertising! Red's used to be a great AC company when the original owner was running the company and he was an honest and reputable person. The quality of his workmanship was what made him the 'go to company' for AC maintenance. He had a great reputation and everyone trusted his workmanship. However, when he retired and passed on the business it has changed and it's no longer about integrity and good customer service! The ducts were installed in the 1950's for only heat. At some point cool air from air conditioner was added. The technician suggested replacing the old tin ducts with a newer material. The suggestion saved money. The day was agreed to start. The Henderson crew arrived early and worked into the early evening. They were able to complete all they could do that day. The vents were changing from circular vents to reticular. To complete the job the sheet rock person had to remove sheet rock. He is thorough, efficient, and cleans up when he is done. I was a little concerned where the cost would end up on a time and materials job, but it was a fair price for the work done. The only issue I had was the that their answering service did not relay my message, so I had to call back the next day to set the appointment. I cannot vouch for their other plumbers, but JD is great and I will use him for any job that I can't handle.
