I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee here Thursday afternoon to have the wheels balanced and rotated, and I asked them to check the alignment. I had to leave the vehicle with them overnight because I was told they needed more time to correct the alignment. On Friday afternoon, they called me and said your vehicle is all set. I picked it up, and by the time I got it back to my house, I could hear something clunking around in the front end, and my steering wheel was not straight at all. I jacked up the front end to investigate and realized the lower control arm was loose. I called them and they said we are very sorry please bring it back. I had to leave the vehicle overnight again. Saturday afternoon, they called and said we have tried to fix the alignment literally twelve times and had three different techs look at it, and we can't figure out how to fix it. They suggested taking it to a collision shop to make sure the frame wasn't bent, which didn't make any sense to me. As I drove home this time, the steering wheel was not straight at all, and a light came on saying to service the electronic stability control. See attached pics. Monday morning, I dropped my vehicle off at a different shop and explained what had happened. They found that the lower control arms on both sides had been moved to the outer most position, and we're not properly torqued. They corrected this and aligned everything properly. The frame was not bent, and luckily, no parts were damaged. The vehicle now drives straight down the road again with no issues. It cost me $224 to fix what Alltire screwed up. Save yourself the headache and take your car to someone that knows what they are doing!!

We took it in and after telling us they can't fix it, they returned it with a check engine light on. This light was not on when we parked the car. They refused to fix it or even fully diagnose it without charging us more money. If the light was on when we dropped it off we would have asked about it but we didn't because it wasn't. They never mentioned the light to us at all until we got the car back, saw it and asked about it, and they said 60% of cars they see have lights on so they don't always say something. It's a mechanic shop! Why wouldn't you tell people what is wrong with their car and offer to fix it? Isn't that solely what you do? Also 60% of cars seems crazy high.. It feels like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice. We took the car in with one issue and got it back with two. What a horrible experience. From now on I guess I'll have to take a video of the dash and car with a time stamp so i have concrete proof of how it went in. That's crazy that i should have to do that.

I'm a little defunct when it comes to taking care of a car. It probably stems back to the time a routine oil change turned into pretend-to-grab-that-girl's-ass-and-hope-she-doesn't-see-everything-you're-doing-in-the-car-door's-reflection. Also, one time they forgot to bolt the undercarriage of my car back on and half the protective plate fell out on the freeway. I vowed to trust no more car people. So when my husband informed me we had a flat tire, and needed to find a place to replace it, I just kinda sat there. "Look online" he said. I typed. "What am I looking for?" I said. "Tires" he said. I typed "TIRED." He took the computer. Though I was convinced we were setting ourselves up to be swindled and cheated, I went to Belle Tire. When my husband asked the guy behind the counter for new tires, the suspiciously friendly-looking mechanic came out to take a look. Smiling, he said, "Let's see if we can save you guys some money today." After 2 cups of free coffee (yay!) and 20-30 mins waiting, we saw our guy round the corner. "You had three nails in your tire so we were able to fix it." Relieved, we approached the counter to pay. "Oh, no charge." Let me emphasize, this was our first time here. We were not repeat customers, we've never been in their system before, not in any state. This smiling man behind the counter just made our day. Even if it's an easy fix, our tire still cost him 30 minutes of labor, product and coffee; we drove away scot-free. Definitely glad to give Belle Tire a chance to change my mind about the industry. I hate spending money on car repairs but as luck would have it after giving them a review on my…read moreprevious experience.... I had to use Prompt Transmission this week. I have an older Yukon and of course it had to breakdown and leak tranny fluid all over my friends driveway when the temperature was ZERO! I drove away not knowing I had a leak and pulled over less than a mile away because the transmission was acting erratically. I was pretty upset as I felt that I might have trashed my tranny.... A $2500 repair. I had my Yukon towed to Prompt and the owner Chuck got it in right away. He said that it appeared that I hadn't damage the trans since they added fluid and drove it, but it had a serious leak. They pulled the transmission and found that something on the torque convertor had sheered off and that the pump bearing that had been previously used was plastic and it should have been metal. I had had the transmission rebuilt less than two years ago by a guy out of his pole barn when I fell on hard times. Clearly that was a mistake. I got what I paid for. Chuck offered to let me take it back to the guy who repaired it previously. I said that I wanted Chuck to fix it right. He did and I picked up my truck today. He was very fair with me on the repair bill. Thank you Chuck!
