UPDATE: Just got my lab bill. Roughly 4 months later. This incompetent medical practice pulled $1000 worth of blood work. I'm stuck with $110 lab bill and per my first review, know as much now as when I first seen these idiots!!!!! Look - it's obvious that going to the doctor usually happens when something is wrong or someone is sick - so to say that my family and I love going to see Dr Herrera and staff would be a misguided statement. However, in the circumstance when a Doctor is needed, Dr Herrera is spot on phenomenal at what he does and how he greets, treats, and makes you feel as one of his patients. I have been a patient of this practice for 2 years now. I have always been a little disappointed with the care, but didn't pay much attention to it, because I don't have any serious medical conditions. I recently received my first ever abnormal lab result. It was called to me by the office MA. All she could tell me was it was abnormal. I asked what that means and she said "it means its abnormal". I told her I have so many questions that she obviously cant answer and if it was their normal practice to have the MA call abnormal results, because this should be done by the physician. She said the physician does not call patients with abnormal results. I think this is unacceptable. I most certainly feel I am just a name on a piece of paper. Calling me like this is Unacceptable and I do not recommend this office. read more

if I could rate this place a 0, I would! DO NOT GO HERE!!! My husband and I both scheduled new patient yearly physical appointments here. Over the phone they advised they were a primary doctor for our insurance so we scheduled. We got there for my husband's appointment first and everything seemed to go smooth. When we left they advised they would bill the insurance and everything was covered. Since then, I also had an appointment scheduled and from the time I came in the door to leaving, they confused my file. One moment I was covered and the next I wasn't. I further reviewed that and got it resolved. Since then I have never received a bill, and I had the same services plus a urine sample. My husband and I also worked for the same company at the time, so insurance was identical. Now almost a half a year later, we get a bill for the full amount of my husband's appointment. I call requesting to speak with someone about it. The billing supervisor calls back and basically states that the appointment was for hypertension and not a regular new patient physical. We have never been there before so how could they not conduct a new patient physical prior to diagnosing someone for hypertension first of all? Even after I explained that was an error, she emphasized that there was no error and it was already billed so to call our insurance. She explained the appointment was coded for that, and I further inquired what happened during the appointment that changed the coding.....no answer. All he had was a blood sample and discussion of his blood pressure results. He declined the urine sample which I didn't but his appointment type changed.??? I told her we weren't going to pay it because they fraudulently changed the coding. She then told me they would just send it to collections if we don't pay and hung up on me. OMG!!! Absolutely unacceptable! I am seeking legal advice in regards to this now! read more

Called on Tuesday to establish as a new patient, was seen Thursday! They got me in super quick and all of the staff was super friendly. I saw Kelsey, she took everything I said in to consideration and put me on the correct dosage of my meds. She even had the decency to tell me my shirt was on inside out ( mom moment) I left her office feeling well taken care of and would recommend this practice to everyone! read more

This was the 2nd time I had to bring my son in to complete care medicine. The first was for a minor finger injury and the care we received was quick, friendly, and accurate. Now a year later our son got sick so naturally I called Complete Care Medicine. They were able to see him the same day within 40 minutes of my call, had a thorough exam, and we were on our way with a treatment plan. The staff are all friendly and efficient, and when we had to come back for an injection they were again quick and friendly, and even allowed us to stay in the room as long as we needed to (it was a painful shot unfortunately). As long as we are living in this part of town, this is where my family will continue to receive our care! read more

Yikes. Was really excited about having a neighborhood primary care provider, but this place doesn't impress. The front office is tired and grimy; Lights out, paint missing off the walls, sticky iPads and front-desk girls that match. Literally, the most dull and unfriendly folks-- think DMV status moody. I've been a patient here for many years now, and Dr. Kody Smith is hands down the best PCP I've ever had. He's genuine, punctual, kind, and hard working. I love the care I receive from Complete Care Medicine. I am able to get an appointment in a very timely manner. I also appreciate that on the day of my appointment, there is hardly any waiting. Oh my gosh I was so worried about changing our Dr because our insurance changed. I can tell you aftere going to Dr Kody Smith we didn't miss a beat. The office staff is good and not to long wait times. Note though dr Smith takes his time explaining things to his patience. He's a very good Dr. Have to put a shout out ot Cloe in the office too! I called to make a first time appointment for my three boys who need physicals for the new school year. After being put on hold for roughly five minutes I was informed that they cannot accommodate three first time appointments in one day. I said I work and that means I'd have to take off two days of work to have my kids seen. The appointment setter said yes that is correct. I suppose if you have one or two children then this could be a good practice for you. Unfortunately this practices shortcomings have forced me to seek medical care elsewhere. read more

Absolutely horrible and very unprofessional practice. Save your time and energy and don't bother with this place. I went in as a first time patient due to knee pain as well as pain in both my shoulders. The doctor (first name Sarah) said it could be lupus or some other auto-immune disease so she sent to have my blood taken and lab work done. I was told I would get results back in 3 to 5 days (first blood draw was on Friday July 3, 2015). I received a call from a receptionist the following Wednesday telling me that the lab they send my blood work to never came to pick up the blood work done that day, so I need to come back in and get my blood re-drawn. And I understand mistakes happen, but what I don't understand is why they waited until the following Wednesday to let me know I have to come in to get my blood re- drawn again. Why not Monday, the next business day after the mistake happened? Why not Tuesday? I have no idea. They also told me I could walk in at any time and they would immediately take me back to get my blood drawn for me. I walk in the following day on Thursday, just as they told me to, and ended up waiting over 30 minutes with my two year old to be taken back.... If your practice has made a mistake and you need a patient to come in again, you need to make them a priority. Get them in for a quick blood draw and have them on their way. It wouldn't hold up any appointments for very long. Anyway, I received a voicemail from the office today (7-14) letting me know my "medical records" were available to be picked up. No mention of my lab work. I called back for clarification and spoke to a receptionist that told me just what she saw on the computer and that everything I requested was available to be picked up.... I was under the impression that my lab work results could be released to me over the phone so I didn't have to drive down there again. The receptionist said my lab work was back and that I could get it released to me over the phone but she's not a medical assistant so she needed to transfer me to one. Okay great. I should have figured it would go straight to voicemail. I left a very detailed message about me just wanting my lab results back. About 20 minutes later I get a call back from the same guy that left me the first voicemail about my medical records!! Once again stating to me that they are avaailable for pick up to be transferred. I never once requested any medical records! Ever!! Just my lab results! Something I thought was very standard and simple. He said he would get me over to a medical assistant. I said okay great so you're going to get me in touch with someone that can give me my lab results? He said yes. I said "okay great. Thanks." And then he said okay thanks, bye!" What??? I immediately call back and get the same guy, and ask to speak to the office manager. He says she's in with a doctor right now so it would be about 20 to 30 minutes. I told him I would wait. I waited almost 40 minutes before hanging up, and not even two minutes later I get a call back from the office manager. I explain everything to her. Right from the beginning up until the last phone call I had with someone else in the office. She then offers to pull up my lab results and read them to me, although she isn't a medical assistant so she wouldn't be able to explain anything to me. I ask to speak to a medical assistant so I can get my results explained. I wait 10 minutes and a medical assistant gets on the line and says "I don't know what's going on. I was told you're upset about records being transferred...? Would you mind explaining everything to me so I understand?" At this point I was done with this place and just wanted my lab results . I told her not to worry about it and asked if she could provide them to me. FINALLY. after all of that.... I have my lab results. Again, as I told the office manager, I understand mistakes happen. It was a holiday weekend and I get it. But it was the way the mistake was handled and all the effort it took for me to just get my lab results. I won't be returning to this practice. read more

Every experience we have had with this office has been a great one! My husband, daughter, son and myself have all been patients there for many years. The entire office staff is always very friendly and willing to go the extra mile if needed. The providers are great at really listening to our concerns and are very knowledgeable. I'm not even sure where to start ... I have never written a review but cannot pass up this opportunity to warn everyone of the ridiculous service this office provides! My husband and I have been going to this office for many years and about 5 years ago we brought our 2 foster children (who are now adopted ) in to see Trent. He was always nice and thorough and my boys felt comfortable with him. We were then introduced to Brittany who was also very good with our boys. The last few times we've gone in we no longer see Trent or Brittany, we have random (not nice) people "helping us" (if you could call it that). It's impossible to get an appointment, they are always late getting us in when we do have an appointment, and today I called and was informed that they no longer take our state insurance so if we want to continue to bring our boys there we have to pay out of pocket .... WHAT??? When did this happen and why weren't we notified??? It's a good thing one of my boys isn't sick and in need of a doctor, not sure what I would have done in that case. My youngest boy has a heart condition and a few years ago Brittany got him in for an echo then sent him to see a heart specialist. We received a call from that surgeon's office saying he was going to need open heart surgery as soon as possible!!! The very next day the front office at Complete Care called and said the test results came back for my son and everything looked great with his heart - he's in good shape! Turns out the doctors did not read the scans or reports sent over by the heart specialist. Good thing we got the call from the surgeon first and got his surgery scheduled. This is serious business!!! Also a couple years ago I was very sick and so were my 2 boys - we sat in the waiting room for over an hour. They finally saw all of us and said they would send a prescription out and we could pick it up in about 30 minutes. We sat at our lovely Walmart waiting for the prescriptions to come through (my kids were so sick they were burning up and laying on the benches near the pharmacy) we tried calling the office and they were closed. I ended up leaving a message on the emergency line and someone finally called me back and it turns out our prescriptions were sent to a WALGREENS in PRESCOTT!!! I have more awesome stories to tell but I'm sure this will give you an idea of the type of service you will receive. STAY AWAY!!! My husband and I stopped going to Complete Care awhile ago but can't seem to find a doctor that will take my boys. I'm not sure what I'm going to do...it's hard enough to find a doctor's office that takes state insurance let alone someone who can help my son with his heart issues (he has since had 2 open heart surgeries and we are waiting to get his 3rd surgery scheduled to replace a leaking valve). If anyone is reading this and can help me out in any way I would greatly appreciate it! We live on Ironwood and Ocotillo so the closer to that area the better. read more

Staff incompetent on filling prescriptions. Have been trying to get a prescription filled for 7 days and literally have left 15 messages. Office staff have assured me they have sent urgent messages to the doctor and still no prescription. Pretty frightening from a patient perspective. This happened to me last year also. read more

I love this office! I went for my first Botox appointment two weeks ago and I'm so thrilled with my results! Janet Wildemuth was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and was really thorough with explaining exactly how the Botox worked. My biggest concern (and my boyfriend's) was that I would look frozen, but it is over two weeks out, and not only is my forehead wrinkle free, but my face is not frozen! The shots didn't hurt at all and I started to notice the results within a couple days! Janet was also super conservative since it was my first time getting it which made me feel a lot more confident! I had zero bruising or swelling after, just a little bit of tenderness between the eyes. I keep talking all of my girlfriends into going to see her :) if you are considering Botox (especially as a preventative measure like me!!) I would highly recommend this office! Waiting room was REALLY small and jam packed with patients. However, I didn't wait more than 5 mins. before I was seen. PA, Jenna, spent a good 30 mins. talking with me and I didn't feel rushed at all. She did have a student PA shadowing her but I didn't mind. An a assistant came in to take my blood and she was competent, friendly and professional. She also said they're planning on expanding on the office to make the waiting room bigger. read more

I truly cannot say enough good things about Complete Care Medicine and their stellar medical staff. I credit Dr. Herrera with saving my father's life when he took my dad's symptoms seriously after he'd been sent home from the hospital after developing a life-threatening neurological condition. Dr. Herrera's quick and decisive action prevented a tragedy. I am so grateful for Dr. Herrera. The PAs at CCM are also wonderful. I see Trent on a regular basis, and he is kind, caring, and never, ever hurries a patient through an appointment. The staff are all polite and sweet, and the front office ladies are professional and prompt. Do you wait sometimes? Yes, but please, keep in mind that emergent situations can develop at doctor's offices and they might need more time to deal with those problems. The physicians and PA's at Complete Care Medicine are not only worth waiting for -- they are true lifesavers. read more

I come here because they have my medical records. I haven't taken the time to transfer them somewhere else, so that part's on me. I'll wear it. But this place is as bad as it gets. Poor customer service, they never (literally NEVER) call back when they say they will, almost never have your information when the doctors meet with you, so you're explaining yourself 100 times, etc. If you have any type of medication that requires a blood sample, they'll give you 4-6 weeks of medication and then require you to come back in for more blood work so they can cash your checks. I've talked to a number of doctors and this isn't standard practice. They need to see you constantly, hold your medication hostage for too many appointments, don't have your files ready when you arrive, have zero energy, and will make you wait (I've sat, unattended, for an hour before) for-ev-er to see a doctor even though you have an appointment. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I received my first Botox injections ever at the office the other day ! I was nervous because I had heard horror stories about faces feeling frozen and looking " surprised " all the time . My area I wanted to improve was the scowl lines between my eyes. Janet took time to explain everything to me , including what areas she was going to inject , what to expect afterwards and when I should start to see a difference . It didn't hurt at all , the worse I felt was a pinch . No burning sensation or anything like that . within 24 hrs I could tell a difference and within a week they were almost COMPLETELY gone but I still have movement in that area which is great!! Couldn't have asked for a better outcome ! Highly recommend !! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I had an appointment at 8 in the morning and wasn't taken back until 8:30! I should have known it was going to be unprofessional when they were already behind that early in their day. Ridiculous. I then waited another 10 minutes before they had a student doctor come in. He asked me every question in the book, all while taking meticulous notes on a clipboard, then he told me he would go and see if Dr Smith was ready for us. I waited another 10 minutes, then the student came back in and told me they were going to give me a rapid flu test. I wait another 5 minutes and someone comes in with a swab. When he left with it he didn't even cover it with anything, he just walked out with the swab. Talk about spreading disease, GROSS. Then FINALLY Dr Smith came in and "confirmed" with me everything that the student Dr had already asked me, except that he got almost everything wrong and I had to basically reexplain everything to him. Waste. Of. Time. Then I had to wait 10 more minutes for the "rapid" flu test results, which ended up being negative. After that the student came back in and gave me a ghetto sticky note of OTC meds that I could take. I asked him if they were safe for someone who was nursing and he just looked at me like he had no clue and then said: "Um, yes." I was sooooo frustrated with my experience. I'm fine with a teaching program and letting students learn, but PLEASE streamline your process. I'm also ok with waiting in the waiting room and even waiting for a few minutes in the exam room, but once I have been seen by a Dr I want to get out of there as fast as possible. I was at this office for an hour and a half and wasn't even given a prescription for my upper respiratory INFECTION. (If I have a infection shouldn't I be able to at least get a z-pack????) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFICE. read more

Every time I have been to this office I am seen within ten minutes or so, and the doctor or PA seeing me is patient and listens. I am an established patient and I can always get a new appointment the same day or within a few days if it's not an emergency. If I'm concerned about something they listen to me and we develop a great plan of care. I never have to plead my case or fight for a test to be ran, they always are eager to help me find the solution and get on my way to feeling better. I haven't had a primary care doctor in over ten years, but Complete Care Medicine has changed that for me because they are friendly and easy to get in to. read more

Should change their name to INCOMPLETE CARE MEDICINE! Was not satisfied by any of the service I received at my appt (it was my 2nd time going there). The first visit was fine, but the 2nd one I had nothing but problems from the minute I walked in their door. I was 10 mins early to my appt, but the front desk waited till they checked me in to verify my insurance instead of having it done ahead of time. By the way I too work for a dr and know the importance of insurance verification and patient quality!! The front desk kept saying I have a deductible plan and the base price for the days visit would be at least $80. WHAT!?! I offered them my ins card twice so they could see it says $25 copay but they refused to look at it. It took them 25 minutes of screwing around to finally say your charge will be $20 today (so now I will be getting a bill for the remaining $5 of my copay). My appt was 15 mins into by the time the front desk checked me in and I was called back. I saw a PA (Brittany) who seemed more concerned about ordering labs and doing an ear wash instead of the real reason I was there. The medical assistant who did the lavage was terrible. I had water running all over me--the top half of one of my pant legs was completely soaked and I had a huge wet spot right on the front of my shirt. I guess it was 2 for 1, an ear wash and a shower. Not only that I informed both the m.a. and the PA that I couldn't hear anything out of my right ear after getting it washed out. There response was simply "it'll pop" (took 16 hrs for it to finally pop). They didn't even look in my ear more than 2 seconds to see if I had water and where. An m.a. I work with did a much more thorough job of looking in my ear and being able to tell me you have water behind your ear, so you might get an infection. An m.a. can tell me this, but your PA can't? Sorry, but I'll be looking for a new dr. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE! read more
