I recently was seen by one of the P.A.s at this office and was most pleasantly surprised. So much so, that I felt compelled to write a review, which is something I ve never done before for a Doctor s office. Right from entering the bldg., the receptionist was so sweet and kind and efficient, not stuffy and grumpy like most other Dr. s office receptionists! I waited in the waiting room and even though I was on a 3 wheeled wheelchair scooter, it had enough room in it for me to stay on my scooter without being in the way of everyone else. I also noted that they had very nice chairs for the patients in the waiting room, appeared to be leather parson s type chairs, very nice, not your usual waiting room uncomfortable chairs by far! I arrived early for my appointment, and as I was noticing that everyone else in the waiting room and even those that came in just after me had been called to go to their exam rooms, the receptionist didn t wait for me to mention that or complain but instead addressed the reason for that very sweetly and with compassion (I was early and also they were waiting for a large room to open up that would more easily accomodate my scooter), which I really appreciated! And they took it upon themselves to do that without my even asking for it, most other offices will shove you into a room that is so tiny and the exam table is in the way (I have to stay on my scooter and don t use the table at all) and they won t move the table or try to make room so I can get inside better. Then, when they called me to the exam room, the M.A. pushed the exam table to the far wall, and moved the chairs and even a small stool out of the way so that I could go in and even turn completely around so I was in a better position to see the Doctor! She was very gentle and caring and listened to everything I said instead of just trying to rush her way through the triage . Within just a few mins, the P.A. came in (Jenna Lathrope) (I had been asked if I minded being seen by a P.A. instead of the M.D. when I booked the appointment, and I don t mind because if the P.A. s see that there is something crazy serious going on, they send you to see the M.D.). I am a person who likes to use comedy when I m in stressful situations, and since I was in pain and had the flu very badly at the time, I guess I was kind of silly while I was there, as Jenna seemed to enjoy the levity during my exam. Even so, she was totally professional while helping to put me at ease and whatever I talked about, she brought the conversation back to finding out more on a particular situation or two in my past medical history, that she wanted to be crystal clear on, which really showed me that she paid attention to everything I d written on the forms you fill out as a new patient. I have a long and complicated medical history so there was ALOT for her to go through, and she took her time and did NOT make me feel rushed at all! She ended up taking about an hour for the full exam and didn t limit me to only 1 or 2 problems during the exam, which I really appreciated because I had been left in the lurch by an abruptly retiring Dr. previously. When it was time for me to get my flu shot and have blood drawn, the Lab techs/phlebotomists came right into the exam room, and didn t make me go to them instead. ALL in all, I have to say kudo s to the entire staff because I expected/hoped to find maybe at least 1 person in the office that was nice, but to find EVERYONE that I came into contact with soooo kind and caring and professional, well it made me go home with a feeling of joy, instead of my previous usual of gawd, I m glad that s over with ! I don t recommend lightly, but a visit to Complete Care Medicine should be something that is on EVERYONE s list of must do s ! read more

Dr. Herrera has been a wonderful doctor, and has helped us immensely! I have been taking my husband (Garry) to Dr. Herrera now for nearly five full years. Garry is seriously ill with over a dozen severe chronic illnesses - and is extremely limited and disabled by them. In fact, he is VERY lucky to even be alive after going through severe bouts of congestive heart failure due to a heart muscle disease (where the heart could barely even pump, and the cardiologist said that ALL of his heart valves were leaking, along with significant regurgitation) and he was extremely close to getting a heart transplant just to survive at only 39 yrs of age! Before finding Dr. Herrera, Garry had been so sick, so weak, and so unbelievably ill that he could barely even get out of bed and make it to the bathroom without falling down onto the floor! For more than two full decades, I had to constantly be at his side (to help keep him from falling) in almost everything he did, including simple things like brushing his teeth. To sum it up, he was completely homebound, and 99% bedridden due to the severe complexities of his illnesses, and most doctors just weren't willing to even consider what could possibly be causing so many severe symptoms in just one person. We had been to so many doctors for help, but most of them not only didn't have a clue, but weren't even willing to run enough tests to diagnose (what turned out to be - MANY very serious health conditions)! Dr. Herrera was recommended to us by a lady who worked at a Walgreens Take Care Clinic, and she took the time to call his office for us and ask them if they could get us in the next day, and surprisingly, they did - bright and early the next morning! She said to us "You are going to love Dr. Herrera." And sure enough, she was Right!! Dr. Herrera has always taken the time to listen to any of our concerns, and has NEVER ever rushed us through like so many other doctors are in the habit of doing. He actually cares enough about the patients to listen and then tries to understand, and to come up with solutions or treatment. He also is open to suggestions and tries to offer different options that he feels would be best for the individual patient's needs. He is very personable and caring, compassionate, and does whatever he can to help us with all of Garry's many medical problems, including severe and chronic pain (from Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, possible Sciatica, and Neuropathy), Cardiovascular problems like Congestive heart failure (and other heart problems and breathing problems like Asthma), Diabetes, Thyroid diseases, severe hormone imbalances, extremely low or no energy levels, Sleep Apnea, muscular problems, physical weakness and inability to function, and even with battling depression and anxiety problems due to being so sick for so long. Dr. Herrera is the sweetest doctor we've ever had and also the most helpful - which is really saying a lot because Garry has seen at least 40-50 doctors in these last three decades, and NONE of them have helped like Dr. Herrera has. He even puts up with my husband's droll & dry sense of humor which isn't always easy. LOL. We love him and would recommend him to anyone! read more

I visited Complete Care on 8/3/15 and saw the Physicians Assistant Sara. She had excellent bedside manners and was very polite to me the entire time. She took the time to listen, answered my questions, and explained things in a way someone with no medical knowledge (such as myself) could understand. After going though a horrendous experience at Health First Family Care several months ago, it took many months before I had the courage to go back to a doctor because I suffer from severe anxiety and when something goes so awry and unpleasant as it did at Health First, I wasn't sure I could go back to a doctor for fear of another awful experience. But Sara assured me she wouldn't put me in a position like I was thrown into at Health First and got me back on my medication. Although things aren't perfect yet, they are greatly improving and I am getting better everyday. I pray that she stays here and continues to be my PCP. She is truly wonderful and although I have only had one visit with her, she didn't rush to get me out of her office like many doctors do and I can honestly say I was comfortable with her (and I'm not comfortable with any doctors really). Wait time in the waiting room was less than 10 minutes (I came with all my paperwork filled out through their website) and the staff was also very, very friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a new PCP. I hope this helps :) read more

My family and I are all patients of Complete Care medicine. I can not explain how much each means to not only have a caring doctors which they all are, but also the staff is fabulous. Valerie, the lead medical assistant is always so helpful. My daughter have extensive medical issues and Valerie is always quick to get back to me when I call and never makes me feel like a bother. She is helpful in everyway that counts which means a lot when you have a chronically ill child. My daughter is always so happy to see Valerie and that means more to me as a parent then I can explain. As a mother with kids and always working on a tight schedule, I have been very pleased with the service and efficiency offered by Complete Care Medicine. I love that I was able to complete the paperwork online prior to showing up at the office. At the office, the visit went very smoothly without a long wait and all of my children felt very comfortable. The office location is great (right off of the 202/Higley exit). Dr. Herrera asked very specific questions throughout all of our appointments and I could tell that he truly cares about the care his patients are receiving. My entire family goes to the clinic and we have never had anything but a truly exceptional experience. Every provider we have seen has been compassionate, knowledgeable, and took as much time as we needed. We never feel rushed. My husband has many health issues and my daughter is severely disabled and we have always had excellent care and felt that they went above and beyond to get us answers and resources. I have referred so many of my friends and family to them and everyone has been very pleased. Dr.Micheal Herrera has been my primary care doctor for 6 plus years, he's very caring and personable doctor. Has help my whole family with all our medical needs. If you are looking for a good primary care doctor this guy is great, he will keep you healthy and nails it the first time around. His practice is Complete Care Medicine in Gilbert, Arizona I must say he a busy guy so some times you may have to wait a bit, I've had many different doctors and my time this guy is worth the extra time. I don't have insurance, so obtaining good affordable health care is very important to me. Complete Care Medicine has very reasonable self-pay rates and having a lab in their office for blood draws is convenient with affordable lab fees as well. PA Trent Blake is thorough, attentive to my needs & provides excellent care. All of the other staff members are also very polite, helpful and a pleasure to work with. I visited Complete Care just a few weeks ago to complete my annual physical as part of a yearly requirement in order to qualify for medical coverage from my employer. Dr. Herrera and his staff were very patient in completing some of the additional required paperwork and very thorough in inquiring about my health and conducting the examination. I've been going to Complete Care Medicine for years and love the staff and PA Trent who I usually see but this time I have to give kudos to the new PA Kelsey Korp. I made a last minute apt (same day) and was seen right away (2 mins after getting to the room). Great experience from start to finish. Friendly office staff, very organized. Filled out paperwork before I came in from website.
