I had a leak from an upstairs bathroom, plumber cut a huge hole in the ceiling of my downstairs coat closet to fix the issue. I called several places, and in general the pricing seemed unreasonable AND availability were weeks out. I got a referral or Hector. within 15 min, he was at the house, checking out the problem, within an hour he had a guy out repairing the drywall. Once that was done, his team left to let the drywall work dry. couple hours later, his painters were here to finish the work. looks as good as new, and they even touched up the walls in my closet. We got introduced to Hector and his team via our electricians, Pacific Coast Electricians, and we are delighted with Hector and his team. We just recently did a major whole house rewiring and many holes were opened on the ceilings and walls. Hector and his team were meticulous, professional, hard-working, friendly and experienced. My house has three different textures and Hector made sure all the patches are textured accordingly. Texturing is truly a work of art and Hector is a masterful artist! We are very happy with his work. He made our house look like as if nothing has happened (like how it looked at open house :)). Hector and his team were also very respectful of our property. Before they started work, they laid plastic covers on all the floors to protect them. After the job was done, they cleaned up really nicely! Hector also had top notch work ethics! We recently moved into a home built in 1965, which had an old asbestos popcorn ceiling. We had the popcorn removed, but then we needed the ceiling re-plastered and re-painted. We recently used Hector Flores and his Complete Drywall Services and Painting (CDSP) Company to remove our acoustic ceiling, add a shear wall in a two story interior wall, to repair a large number of drywall cracks, and then paint all repaired areas. It was a 10 day job. Hector and his group far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him for any drywall related work you might have. And that is saying a lot since I am a perfectionist. Hector was recommended to me by my foundation guy who told me that Hector's work was some of the best he's seen. I had seen some negative reviews, however I trusted my foundation guy's recommendation, so I went with Hector. Based on how Hector and his group performed here's what I saw as his strengths: Excellent finish quality of the work - the matching of textures, corners, etc. was excellent. Hector really knows his stuff. Very hard working - They all worked very hard throughout the day. I've seen some groups, that as soon as the boss leaves, everyone slacks off. Not Hector's group - they pushed hard all day. Great attention to detail - For the repairs, I noticed that if they saw an issue related to the problem I had asked to be repaired, they went and fixed the additional issue as well, so that the entire problem was taken care of. Without my asking. I liked that. Customer service was outstanding - Hector checked with me every day to make sure I was happy with the progress and the work quality. There was an issue with the redo of the door frame that I wasn't happy with. Hector said that he wanted to make sure I was happy so he ripped out the door frame and redid the entire structure. Hector also showed me all the material he was using to make sure I was happy with the choices. In addition where they ran into unexpected issues, he kept me informed and made suggestions on how to go from there. He was someone I could definitely trust. Attention to cleanliness was superb - Hector and his group double covered the floor with tarps then plastic. He covered all walls and covered and taped off everything that might be at risk. After each major step (like removal of the acoustic ceiling) he removed and disposed of all the plastic covering, then replaced it with new covering. They also did a very good job cleaning up at the end of each day. General help very good - Hector's group helped move all the heavy furniture and were very careful with everything. There were no issues with any damage. A very friendly group - Hector and everyone in his group were very friendly and helpful. If I needed anything or had any questions, they were all happy to help. If I pointed out an issue, they looked at it right away and always took care of it. I enjoyed having the group around because they were so happy - often I got serenaded as they sang while they were working. As one other reviewer said - they had a very good vibe! Excellent quality painting - I'm extremely happy with the finished results - it looks like a new house. They went out of their way to match new paint with old - in some cases painting extra wall sections up to a boundary so there were no issues. They created very clean boundary lines. Looks very crisp and clean with nothing showing thru. They used one primer coat and 2 coats of paint everywhere. Hector was one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. read more

This company is also known as HJ Interiors, but recently changed their name to Complete Drywall Services and Painting. My wife and I bought a 'fixer-upper" and one of the biggest and most daunting tasks was the condition of our walls. We refused to just paint over them. I found Hector and his guys through a contact, and have nothing but good things to say about them. We have our horror stories about contractors, and we often complain how we always have do things twice. With Hector and his crew, this is never the case. They are honest, meticulous, clean, and diligent. Each one of his employees demands perfection. They re-textured and painted the entire interior of our 1800 square foot house, and did so perfectly. The walls are now completely smooth, and they did a picture perfect job painting. Straight lines along all the edges, no drip marks, it's perfect. They worked with us on scheduling so that each room can be done independent of the next, not requiring us to move out. They boxed themselves in each time they needed to do sanding so the dust wouldn't get everywhere. On more than one occasion, Hector stopped by to see the work, and would say, "This is not good enough, we're doing it over". I've never heard this from the other 10 contractors we've had in our house. We grew very close with them since the length of this project was so long. We trusted them to come in and out of the house without us being there, even giving them a key. We never once worried about having to lock up our valuables, and more importantly, our pets. They went on to install all the trim around our doors, hang new doors, and of course paint them. They are now scheduled to paint the exterior of our home. I'm grateful for Hector and his hard working crew. I couldn't imagine what we would have done without them and I give them my highest recommendation. Professional, socially appropriate, and very skilled. They did some minor drywall work for us the other week. They taped everything off and left my house clean, which is pretty amazing because they used a texture gun. They fixed an extra part of the wall for free that I didn't even notice needed repair. We hired Hector to paint the exterior of my house. After 4 weeks of work we were left with no progress. He and his crew never showed up on time and they left the job site in the middle of the work day many times. Every time I got a different excuse from Hector. He also broke the contract by using different materials example - Cheaper/substandard Caulk. The final nail in the coffin was when one of his crew broke my window. This is when I lost all my patience and fired him. Hector owes me $2500 from my security deposit. Hector has set the professionalism in construction to the lowest bar. I also came to know that Hector does not have a painters license, he falsely advertises himself as a painter. Because of people like Hector everybody in construction industry gets a bad rap. read more

Review: Recently hired CDSP (formerly H&J Interiors) on a reference from a friend who had also hired them to do sheetrock texture matching on a remodel. Bottom line: a really nice, efficient crew and very high-quality work. I had some thick spray-on texture throughout my home and a lot of patch work that should have been near impossible to match, but these guys got it right, did an excellent job of masking and cleaning up and Hector was a real professional throughout. First and foremost, you need a quote before having ceiling work done. You would think, right? After reading such rave (yet few) reviews on his page, I was excited to potentially work with Hector and he seemed very anxious to get started when we first spoke on the phone. As I work far from my new home and cannot meet contractors during the week, I asked if he could meet my mom for a quote on a weekday afternoon. Not only does Hector not show up, a member of his "staff" shows up an hour late and can't answer any questions. I called him the next day to follow up, and he asked if he could call me back in "one minute". Do I ever hear back from him? You guessed it! Nope. I really have no idea where these 5-star reviews are coming from. I went with Tom Flores Drywall (look him up!) and he did a fantastic (and timely!) job. read more
