I made an appointment with the owner to clean my apartment yesterday 8/4/24. He asked me to leave my address on his phone. I will accept responsibility that I forgot until Sunday night late. Didn't want to disturb him. He called Monday am. I called back and spoke with him and gave him my address. it's a third floor apartment and he said he'd have to get a few things before doing a 3rd floor job. He'd be by around 10-10:30am. I stayed home all day waiting for him. By 2pm. He hadn't shown up or called I called the office number and left a message. Later that day I sent a text saying "I guess you are not showing up". He texts me back I've been here all day!! So if he didn't write my address down why didn't he just call on his way and I would have sent him my address by text. It's so silly to not show up. Some kind of power struggle or something. Who know. He sounds so good from other review. To bad I won't try to use him agai. read more

Previously a good experience with Don on a floor cleaning job, so I hired him to refinish existing wood floors. He assured me he had more than 40 years doing this work too. His quote was the highest I received, as he promised a meticulous job. This did not occur. The floors were not properly sanded (see Photo: top varnish left in two rooms so stain would not take and not all areas received last smooth grit, gauges left without repair, etc.) which was not apparent to me until after I paid him, again higher than market rate. With 40 years experience he would have known this, as I do now if I were to refinish floors again. I have old floors so I did not expect perfection, just a competent job. I asked for a partial refund or trade for floor cleaning in another room as I clearly overpaid for the job he performed ... he refused and did not respond to my polite request for resolution. We had the best experience and results with the hardwood floor cleaning and re-oiling services provided by Don from Complete Floor Care. The White French Oak floor throughout our 2 story home in Carlsbad had been horribly abused by our previous tenants and their young children. There were deep stains in many places throughout the house. There was even a deep gauge with a chunk of wood missing in the master bedroom floor! We called Don for an estimate. He arrived on time, inspected all the floors carefully. Then, he took his time to go over with us the work that needed to be done in order to revive our floor. He gave us a clear picture of what to expect and quoted us a very fair price. On the morning of the service, Don arrived at the exact time we agreed upon. He came prepared, in a heavy duty truck filled with proper equipment. He promptly set everything up and went straight to work on deep cleaning our hardwood floor. It was a large job, so he worked with an additional worker. They took extra efforts and additional time to clean all the stained areas. They even cleaned certain heavily stained areas multiple times. The following morning, they returned as promised to begin the oiling process. When the job was completed, our floors looked amazing! It was as if Don had brought life back into the wood!
