The location is in a quiet neighborhood and as you enter, you will feel as if you are entering a huge bathrooom tiles gallery. They have a wide selection and the quality are great. I have been to many tile stores, but there was one pink tile that caught my attention here. There are samples after samples along the walls, high and low, where you can graze your fingers over and the names of the tiles are labelled underneath. Remember to sign in in the front and they will give you the attention you well deserved. The weekends are the worst because their business is great so they have many customers. If you want quality time without feeling rushed, please go on the weekday. There are three workers there when I visited them and don't expect to be greeted right away because they seem like that there is a storage of staff. But you have all the time to browe around on your own time. A word of advice, walk around the store and mentally mark down which tile you like, so when the call your name, you are prepared. Once the assosicate call your name on the sign in sheet, they spend all the time with you as you are led to a table so you can discuss the designs and samples. You can also look in a huge binder with an associate who can answer all your questions. Make sure that you bring your list of questions because they helped me understand more about the tiles that I picked (pink tile that looks like a painting) and be prepared of the process of the payment. I've been a freelance consultant for an interior design firm for three years. But recently, I had the epiphany to launch a design studio out of Brooklyn with a close friend of mine who is an architect... The two of us were a bit disheveled mentally and physically from riding our bikes all the way to West 15th from Bed Stuy Brooklyn, but were pleasantly greeted when we arrived. I have to admit that I was shocked by how helpful the staff was. Our client has been looking to recreate a sink and vanity out of marble or stone -- a tall order but we knew we were in the right place. The showroom has a well curated layout, with a nod to an artist studio. Every thing is available to see, touch and remove from the wall to get a feel of the tile while matching it with other elements. There's everything from the traditional 'subway tile', recycled ceramic tile, marble, aluminum, and even wooden tile -- the possibilities are pretty much endless. This place is a true gem. Let me start by saying i just stopped by to explore another showroom and i was pleasantly surprised: Complete Tile is a great place to go to if you are looking for unique tile and stone all in one place. In addition to quite extensive choice of materials, the atmosphere and service were all amazing. I browsed around for a few minutes and was asked if I needed help. As you can see from my previous reviews, I generally won't review something non-culinary related unless it actually was worth my time. I stopped in here with a friend as I was tipped off that this place has some unique options I may not be able to find elsewhere. I've stumbled past it a million times over the past few years after happy hour when I used to work in Union Square. They were always closed, and it was always dim inside, but it looked like a nice spot in my drunken state. So in a sober state, with an actual purpose we entered the showroom. I was a bit taken as to how vibrant the showroom was as I have only seen it from outside at night... not at 100%. I'll admit when I first walked in I was a bit confused as there are samples everywhere but the ceiling. They'd probably stick them up there, but in NYC you can never be to careful to avoid lawsuits. No samples on ceiling...good call on their behalf. My friend was looking for a kitchen back splash, a bathroom floor and possible something for a waterfall which I've been trying to convince her she needs. Right when you walk in it's like a color wheel of subway tile on the right. On the left they had bathroom tile, then it transitions into counter tops, then bathroom or at least that's how I interpreted it. Being an efficiency freak, I really appreciate how everything is laid out and how you can remove samples from the wall and match them up to whatever the hell you want. A lot of showrooms have rack displays which are really hard to deal with. For one you can't get the light to hit the tile correctly, and the sample is always huge and annoying to carry a few at a time, if it can even be removed at all. It was nice to be able to pull a few off the wall and walk around. Since my friend was only looking for a back splash, we found a similar sample to her counter top and walked around with it. The samples also have serial numbers and sizing on the back so you can see what other options in that color are available. Very efficient and we were able to get what we wanted done in half the time. More time for booze=points for this place. I enjoy places like this where I can do what I want with a selection of this magnitude. Reminds me of Hockey Monkey in Jersey which is what I consider hockey equipment heaven. This place is kind of like Tile heaven, well at least in NYC and in it's given space constraints. If I like a place I occasionally chirp the bad reviews. There was a previous review about not getting approached immediately. Fortunately for me I don't need a babysitter, nor do I enjoys sales people up my ass, at least before lube is applied. However, someone did come up to us after a minute or so and just said that if we need any help she's be glad to assist when we were ready. D-squared. Either a fool or just D-bag. His face has Amber-Alert written all over it. This place is expensive according to him. Probably reviewed the sky as being too blue at some point. Look where it is. It's on the ground floor of 15th and 6th. Was he expecting this to be The Tile Depot Wholesale Superstore in bumblefcuk USA? Anyhow, this place is more than legit as long as you are reasonable and set realistic expectations. We got what we needed here and I will return again when the time arises. I just sold my house, and while I'm happy not being a homeowner (no more real estate taxes! no more sudden, urgent expensive repairs!), I miss being able to play interior designer. So, I was thrilled when my friend enlisted me to help redo her bathroom. After checking out a couple of blah places, we found Complete Tile, and it was just what the doctor... er, designer, ordered. And truly, this place is meant for design professionals, but they were so helpful and gracious even though we're not pros. The selection was amazing, and I spent a good half hour just ooh-ing and ahh-ing over everything (and touching everything, because that's how I shop). We wanted sort of a retro-modern look and settled on three different styles of tile: black ceramic for the floor, lovely translucent blue glass for the lower wall, and a cool mid-century style white for the upper wall. The sales rep we worked with tactfully steered us away from tile that would've been too slippery on the floor and helped us figure out how high up the wall to switch from blue to white. She even helped us think about how the tile would mesh with the fixtures and lighting we were considering. Ordering was a snap, and I'm super excited to get everything installed. (Also: already having bathroom envy.) I really don't get the negative reviews below; I found the customer service here to be top-notch and the prices completely reasonable for the quality of product they offer. If you have a decent budget for your project and want to do it up right, this is definitely the place to shop for tile. read more

Renovating a new home is a very daunting task so many little details but the team at Complete Tile made the process so easy and stress free! Their design team is amazing in 2 quick appointments I had everything picked out they even helped with paint color suggestions. If my assigned designer was unavailable there was always someone there to help and answer questions. The management, sales team and reception go above an beyond (even dealing with UPS). Go here if you like to be ignored or treated like shit! I have been to this store at least a half dozen times and never once has anyone asked me if I needed help -- you always need to go searching for a sales assistant -- even if the store is totally empty. On top of that, when you do find one, they inevitably have a snotty attitude, like they have much more important things they could be doing. Probably like looking for a new job that pays them more to do even less. How about hiring some people who actually care about helping customers? read more

My experience with Daniel was amazing. He was very patient and knowledgeable, helping problem solve wherever possible. The staff was very friendly and personable and I would use them again in a heartbeat. Daniel was very responsive over email and was there any time I had a question. I had gone to a different tile store in Fairfield County where I really got the run around. Since I live in New York during the week I decided to check out Complete Tile. What a surprise! Our designer, Penny Pampoukidis, was really great! She helped us design a master bath, got us prices instantly, contacted our contractor to get final measurements, etc... Oh and I might add that Complete Tile was a bit less expensive than the Fairfield County place. Who would have thought???!!! Penny also had samples sent to our CT house which was really helpful. I wish I had read these 2010 reviews before purchasing from them. They are the worst to deal with when it comes to refunds. My bathroom came out beautiful but it was seriously a fiasco working with them. Twice the material that I chose was not representative of the samples in the showroom. Go to Walker Zanger directly or ask your contractor to take you to one of his guys. They are expensive and difficult to work with if you have issues with the material. read more

Expensive and terrible service. I went in looking for an estimate on a very small piece of marble. A remnant would have worked. They told me that it would cost at least $250 for something that measured 7 X 17 inches. The saleswoman was arrogant and aloof. I told them that the max I would spend was $100. She told me she would get an estimate and call me back. I waited a week for that call.......and have never gotten a call back from them. In the meantime, I got what I needed on Essex Street for about $50. I will never go in there again. read more

I used Complete Tile at the recommendation of the architect on my project and I have to say that I have been nothing but happy with the service and design recommendations that I received from Ilona. Rushing the cutting and shipping of trim pieces, crediting me for some damaged tile and answering my many questions regarding grout colors and sealants, she was and absolute Godsend. I wouldn't recommend Complete Tile. They have a pretty good selection but the customer service is terrible. I was working with one of their salesmen, and then an older lady in a fur coat came in, and he said "hang on one second," and then proceed to help her for several minutes. She even seemed uncomfortable that he had ditched me midway through picking out my kitchen back splash, counters and floor. He only acquiesced and returned to our discussion after I went over to him and was like, "So, what's happening? I thought you were helping me??" And he was like, "Oh yeah, I forgot." Lame! Basically, the guy was just super eager to help this grand-looking dame and couldn't care less about me, never mind that I was about to spend thousands on materials in his store. So I decided to get my tiles etc elsewhere! Anyway, the selection is decent but overpriced. Many of the materials (such as paperstone countertops) can be found for half the price elsewhere. And the tiles are not as nice as Heath tiles in my opinion. read more

This place is the best! We were a young couple looking to renovate our kitchen and bathroom. The woman that helped us Mimi, totally got the look we were going for at the right price with out even spelling it out. The quality of the product is amazing and the outcome is beautiful. We had a few slip ups in delivery otherwise it wouldve gotten the 5th star, however, complete title rectified all of the mishaps. I would recommend this store to anyone. I do however suggest setting up an appointment if you want to really make decisions. that is how you have the salespersons undivided attention. It has such a wide range of beautiful items, this store is a great choice for any buyer! read more

When I first walked in I didn't get much attention (perhaps they assumed I was window shopping or won't seriously convert to a sale). However, I really needed to finalize my kitchen renovation so I hung in there even though most of the sales team seemed preoccupied/disinterested (even though the store was empty around 6pm). As a result, I stood my ground a patiently waited for help. They have beautiful products and I just love the customer service I received from Justin. I've worked with Justin and he is wonderful, polite and responsive. I can speak about some of his other colleagues. I purchased my backsplash from Justin and I'm very happy with the product. read more

They get 1 star because I am very happy with how my kitchen turned out. I love the tile I bought. This business has a beautiful showroom and lovely selection (if not pricey). BUT THEY ARE A CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE. Every step of the way required many phone calls and emails, mostly un-returned. I ended up making several trips into the store because the non-existant customer service. And, this was a very simple easy sale- I knew what I wanted and how much I needed etc. Everything was like pulling teeth, from placing the order (3 calls and a trip to the store) to getting an invoice to pay them (again, 4 emails with no replies). And more offensive, when I did finally get to speak with this sales woman she was always rude and curt and seemed unable or interested to help me. The service here is so atrocious it made what should have been a very simple sale a super complicated and time consuming process. Unless you really cannot find an acceptable substitute for a tile you fall in love with here, I'd highly recommend dealing with a business that knows how to deal with customers. read more

Acted as though they were doing me a favor by talking to me, then treated me like an idiot child when I asked questions about sizes, delivery, etc. Maybe if I had walked in with a high-priced decorator I would have been treated with respect. Over-priced. The quote I got for something I liked was double what I found nearby at Nemo. Ridiculous wait time for order. 4-5 weeks to wait for tiles? I think not, when it's a repair for a leak that's left me with a minimally functional bathroom. Nemo is delivering in one week. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Daniel Schnorbus. Renovations in NYC are always stressful. Daniel was the only bright spot in my months-long bathroom renovation. He was always pleasant, helpful, AND available plus extremely responsive. He is also very knowledgeable and has a great sense of aesthetics. I went to almost all of the tile stores in NYC and I have to say that the reason that I ended up buying most of my materials at Complete Tile was because of the customer service I received from Daniel together with the great selection of materials at the store. I went to Complete Tile after going to Nemo Tile first. The customer service at Nemo was awful - no one approaches you and if you are not with a designer or know exactly what you want, they will not help you. I left and went to Complete Tile and dealt with Ilona. She was great. She gave me good design advice and helped me pick the right tile for my backsplash. There is a sign-in sheet there so that if you are looking for help eventually you are going to get someone to work with you. They don't make you feel small like they do at Nemo. My husband and I were first time renovators - our project was to renovate one bathroom and make the second half bathroom a full bathroom. Our designer, Penny Pampoukidis, was very patient with us, always placed our orders immediately and did everything she could to get some last minute orders sent to us in time. I am planning to renovate my bathroom and remove the tub, replacing it with a walk-in shower. I selected 3 showrooms in the same area. Nemo where the only consumer service to ask for a price and a sample. The sales people just walk around the showroom answering isolated questions. So I tried Daytiles, a lovely showroom but no professional service. The woman had to call over another person to help her answer my simple questions. In both places there was no exchange of information or suggestions from the salesperson. You pick out what you like and they said nothing. At Complete Tile Collection, the showroom is customer friendly, All tiles are hanging and removable from the walls. The tables are for you to display your selections and see how tiles work together. All the time a profession designer is listening and making suggestions. The selection becomes a process with a private person working with you. I was so appreciative that Anna was working with me and not only giving suggestions but also explaining why. She went as far to help me select possible paints to compliment the tiles. I never felt rushed to make a decision. After the meeting we continued to email eachother til I make my final decisions. Several years ago I was doing the rounds of tile stores and, although I found several that were helpful and pleasant to deal with, no one could match the service and selection at Complete Tile Collection. Better still, Graham Barr (I think that's his name) has a terrific eye for what will work. I went around NY at my architect's recommendation to look at tile -- ann sacks, urban archeology, artistic tile, and I found Graham Barr and his team at Complete Tile by far the nicest to work with. The selection is excellent, and the quality first rate. I also thought the prices were good compared to the other places I looked at. So I couldn't disagree more with these other reviewers. Graham was incredibly patient when my contractor took forever to supply measurements, and kept good records and made some excellent suggestions of pairings. this is a great outfit. read more

Shocked at the lack of customer service and attitude. I went there with my wife yesterday as we need tiles for a a gut renovation of our apartment (with a lot of tiles and marble in the 2 bathrooms). For about 20 minutes, my wife and I looked at many samples, took notes, had our floor plan out, etc...but that's not enough of a hint as no one even said Hi to us. I decide to very nicely ask for help and the lady let me know that someone will be there to help shortly...but I was obviously bothering her. Ten minutes later, as we are pretty much done looking, someone finally asks us if we need help. We might be in luck...not! After proceeding to show us 3 similar tiles at different price points, she just disappears. She has spent about 3 minutes with us, we have our floor plan laid out on the table as we want to start having a more in depth conversation...and she walks away!?!? Bottom line is we walked away too...and they lost a $10,000 to $15,000 sale. Maybe because they have so much business, they don't care. Fine, but they won't get my money. I don't mind paying a premium price for convenience and service. This store seems to charge a premium price but all they give is attitude. read more
