As an innocent bystander, having a chef in your life opens your eyes to so many new things, including JB Prince. I absolutely love kitchen gadgets and all things that are useful, tools and kitchen related. JB Prince does not disappoint. There are things sold In here that only true chefs or restaurant personnel would know, but make a person like me just look at in awe. There were knives, aprons, salt and pepper grinders, chocolate molds, miniature everything, woks, sous vide machine, you name it. It existed here. So walking in to this place was a fun experience to start. It is within a building and not very well labeled. We found it because of my chef friend. The most impressive part, however, was the CEO of the company greeted us at the door. We didn't know he was the CEO. He acted like a customer service representative and "talked shop" with my friend, but was very down to earth and just absolutely pleasant. He was patient with my lay person lack of knowledge and encouraged me to explore the whole store and was willing to answer questions if I had any. My friend and I spent two solid hours in this location and I am sure we did not see everything. I look forward to going back here some day and meandering about some more. I can only encourage anyone who is in the restaurant business, this place is a must have on your supplier list. This is the type of establishment I would want to do business with.

Knew that there were lots of kitchen supply stores in and around LES. So wandered around seeing if stores had the doughnut cutter. Got referred to this place by another store. It was busy and I was able to find the doughnut cutter easily in their well organized shelves. Easy fast transaction with the friendly staff and will definitely be back instead of buying something on Amazon!

The aisles are really narrow and everywhere you look, you'll see merchandise from the floor to the ceiling. In some spots you'll need to suck in that gut to get through,.. this isn't a Williams and Sonoma at all. LOL There also aren't signs pointing out where things are and yes, there may not be prices on anything,.. LOL. Honestly they don't cater to the small time customers like me, but nonetheless their prices will definitely be better than at the previously mentioned merchant. For my visit, I knew what I wanted for my foray into making pizza dough, I needed a container to store my rising dough. I also needed a bunch of squeeze bottles so knew exactly what to ask for. I didn't need much interaction with staff, but I was able to find one staff member who was very helpful pointing me in the right direction for what I needed and finding the cover to the container I was going to buy. I was in and out quickly on a Saturday afternoon so I'd say if you know what you want and are ok with a little less than 5 star service for the price,.. you should be ok.

Win tells you what you need most of the time if you're not coming in without a particular reason--it's like Target--I find myself coming in for one thing and walking out with a bunch of other gadgets and gizmos. Most if not all wares here are reasonably and affordably priced. It's great that they don't limit their customers to wholesales or restaurant supply, because a cooking novice like me can buy specialized kitchen tools at a fraction of the cost the same day I need it. I've gotten a myriad of things here from tempura spoons, wine glasses, frying splatter screens, all all the random stuff you can think of. I would say that this supply store has increased my quality of life in the most subtle ways! I will continue to find excuses to come visit to see if anything is new. The staff here are helpful. Most of them don't have the most outwardly friendly vibe but they will help you (kind of like when you ask your sibling to do something for you and while they'll give you some resistance, they'll still do it out of care). Regardless, solid place. Definitely stop by if you don't care about the more high-end, fancy kitchenware at those more high-tier homeware stores...I'm looking at you Crate and Barrel. At the end of the day it's all the same sh*t anyway!

Difficult to communicate with and gave me erroneous information while trying to mansplain. Also quoted me an outrageous price for installation that was more than the AC units! I almost went to Home Depot instead, but based on my previous experiences with PC Richard over the years, I gave them another chance. Called again and spoke with another sales rep who was super competent and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions patiently and took care of the COI's my managing agency required. He gave me a much more reasonable delivery and installation price compared with the first sales rep . Everything went smoothly and I am extremely happy with my new AC's. I guess my advice is to change sales reps if you're not satisfied because PC Richard generally has great ones.

Alex couldn't read a simple screen (the folks at the UWS branch showed me his error) and sent me to pick up a purchase at the UWS store -- but it wasn't in inventory there at all. So I was promised same day delivery by messenger within 3 hours. When I called after 3 hours, I was told by Anthony it had been scheduled for the next day, and he convinced me not to demand the refund but to wait. He couldn't give me a precise time window, just 7 am to 7 pm. When I called the next afternoon to ask when it will arrive, it was Alex on the phone again. It had been scheduled with UPS, not a messenger, and he couldn't immediately tell me for when and said he would call me right back. He never called, but when I called after 20 minutes, he answered as if nothing was up. He started saying that it would be delivered next week, no Friday, no Thursday. Talk about getting jerked around. Wtf? I told him to refund me and forget it. (The whole attitude was very Kids in the Hall "oops, it must've slipped my mind." IYKYK). The shittiest part is that the purchase is a heater for my kid's bedroom. Our building boiler is on the fritz and my kid's is sick. Information o shared with these folks. How crappy can you get. Never dealing with this branch again and recommend you stay well away.
