It works fairly well, when it works. It a monopoly. No one else can provide service so if it's slow or unavailable it's not their problem. If I had another choice I'd take it, even if it was slower on paper if it was reliable it would be great. read more

We requested a service change at our residence as we would be away for a couple of months. They neglected to tell us even though we now have highspeed when the change was done it would have to be manually reset. So now without service for almost 30 days they offered a 1 day credit because they don't know when the service went out? We did the day the change was effective, same day our remote thermostat and cameras all went offline. I had notified them at that time when they attempted the remote reset and said it wouldn't work because a service change caused it... but claim to have no record of that?? All this over a 1-month credit request for which we have not and won't have service until at least Jan 6th. Horrible customer service and overpriced products. Overpriced, horrible offshore service (chat agent in some far-away country) and unreliable. What a scam they charge way more than Spectrum or other fiber providers, give worse service (hard to give worse service than spectrum but Comporium does it) with low bandwidth and frequent outages. I'd give them a ZERO but 1 star is the lowest possible. read more

Comporium enjoys a veritable monopoly on cable and internet services in the area where we live. The quality and ease of service has declined significantly recently. The worst came when we were required to install an Amazon firestick in order to continue to access TV. It it has made accessing channels quite difficult. It is unconscionable that a company would require its customers to access a third party company in order to use its products. Despite a long history of reviews citing Comporium's shoddy, overpriced service combined with threats to quit using Comporium but for a lack of competing internet providers, Comporium dismisses invitations to improve; legitimizing speculation that their profit margins are just where they like them, and you're expectations for dependable, affordable, unthrottled internet service are worthy only of derision. I had Comporium setup ADSL service at my Dad's since I wasn't sure if my Verizon MiFi would work, or how well it would, plus I knew my Vonage phone would not work via the MiFi. The execution of the install/config/setup and the service call itself. a definite 5 star review! Lost a star when I called initially to setup the account, since it was 4:30 Eastern time and they close at 5 pm, the rep wanted me to call back....yeah, not. Maybe their prices are a bit high and they take a bit of advantage of their monopoly in Brevard as another here wrote BUT I look at it this way: if not for them, we 'd have NO or HORRIBLE, slow service. Their Internet is beyond awful. We upgraded to their 5G, which is inconsistent at best, while their regular Internet can barely hold up. For as much as we pay for it, it's unacceptable. read more

He called back asking for my address only to find out he was in SC and I was in NC. Someone really screwed up the service. Now I can't get anyone on the phone. I keep getting knocked off. We recently moved to the area, and it took a month for Comporium to even respond to our multiple requests for internet service. Since our service began, we've signed up for automatic bill payment twice, yet each month our internet service is shut off for non payment. Both times, I called Comporium and was told that we were not signed up for automatic bill payment (even though we received confirmation both times). in addition, the customer service representatives I've spoken with were very rude and unhelpful. The only reason we are still using their service is because we have no other option. read more

I used Comporium in 2013 for internet and was pleasantly surprised to find good service and a local office. When I had a contract issue and took it to the upper level, it was resolved as promised and quickly.
