This team is amazing! I found the office on the Patient Navigation Center at The National Psoriasis Foundation. I needed a Dr that would put MY needs first and Dr Gaspard did just that! She took her time, discussed treatment options and chose the best medication for my Psoriasis. Her staff has always treated me with the utmost kindness and care. I've changed jobs, and sometimes had a lul in getting approved for my meds and they have always stepped up to the plate to make sure I was taken care of. Yesterday I was there to pick up a sample of my meds and deliver the paperwork needed for the patient assistance program. Michelle not only offered to send it in for me, she also called the rep for the drug and I was able to get my meds For one full year, stress free and clear. I have been a spokesperson for the medication as well, so they all had a hand in making it happen. I have only been in once to see Sandra. I was looking to have dermanplaning done and a facial. The facial was pretty mediocre. I don't get her "amazing-ness," at least not yet. I will give her one or two more chances. She recommended I just pay $130 for her time and get the facial, dermaplane and a peel. Good price, very good. But, the peel didn't make me peel, but we had spoken about my issue with non peeling with certain peels, so I was prepared to not peel as we did discuss that I might not but I would still get benefits in theory. I got very few extractions and I am always clear about loving and wanting aggressive extractions. I got very few. So, I don't think I loved her service but I didn't hate it either. read more

I purchased their HQRA+ product last year for lightening spots. I only used a little bit of it for a month during winter because you need to stay out of the sun. It has hydroquinone so I was told to not use it too long. I took it out a few weeks ago to find that the pump mechanism is broken. I called the office and their only response was we carry it and have it for sale for $185. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I saw Dr. Butler. She was cavalier and seemed extremely put out by the visit. I came in for a rash and full mole check. I had to ask her three time if she could do the mole check. She kept saying "well if you want me to" When she finally agreed she asked me to remove my clothing and never gave me a gown. Upon leaving she left the door open and I had to scramble down off the table to shut the door. This was very embarrassing because I was near the exit desk. When I had the door shut and was quickly trying to get dressed she came back in for her pen. She left leaving the door open again. So LAME! She was supposed to prescribe a cream for the rash. The front desk said it would be called in to my pharmacy. After two reminder calls in was never called in and I never got a call back. read more

I have had multiple dermatologists over the years and am so glad I found Comprehensive Dermatology. I see Dr. Butler for my annual mole and skin cancer checks and I see Dr. Gaspard for all my elective procedures, i.e. botox and fillers. Dr. Butler is a gem and has such a great bedside manner. Dr. Gaspard has so improved the quality of my skin by recommending different procedures and I love the result of my botox and fillers. I was sooo nervous to try fillers but she ensured me that it would look natural and it has made SUCH a difference. I look well rested but not plastic-y at all. I use Dr. Healther Butler and I've got kind of mixed reviews. I've been on many different forms of acne medicine throughout my life and none ever seem to work effectively except for Accutane. Now I SERIOUSLY hate the side effects of it and vow never to use that stuff ever again. Instead I have to resort to other weaker medicines that don't really seem to have much effect. What Dr. Butler loves doing, though, is keep pumping me full of all sorts of different antibiotics, cremes, injections and lotions. I don't even know how many different drugs she's prescribed me. She's very much a Western doctor in her affinity for using all sorts of drugs with little to no effect. Well, the steroid injections do seem to work magically on my nodule acne, but they all just like to keep coming back. It'd be nice if she could suggest more natural remedies, but none of the sort has ever come out of her mouth. Anyway, I also hate having to pay for parking every time I go there. It's like $1 every 20 minutes and they don't validate. Honestly, for the money I'm paying I'm not really satisfied with my results. I once had to wait over 80 minutes for an appointment and was falling dead asleep in the waiting room. Wasn't too happy about that one! As I'm writing this review, it's really getting me to think that I need to stop using their services. Just not worth the time, the money, or the negative effects to my body! read more

Overall, I am a little annoyed by this clinic. First of all, when I booked the appointment for a consultation with a dermatologist, they booked me under a physician assistant, Krista Smith. I have no idea I was booked under a PA until I saw her in the exam room. Krista was nice, but still, I am paying to see a dermatologist, not a PA. Second, my skin was very irritated and two medications were prescribed. Instead of writing me a script (which I asked for) so I can pick up the medications on my own the day of, they called the medications into ABC Pharmacy in Racho Cucamonga! 5 days after my consult with a PA, I still have not gotten my medications yet! My skin is very itchy and painful and is ridiculous for me not to have the medications within the same day. I am suffering from severe itch and pain!! Very inefficient! read more

I wouldn't know how this place is because first they called to reschedule my appointment, and then today they called me after hours to let me know at the last minute (it's Saturday afternoon and my appointment was for Monday morning) that the doctor would be "out of town" Monday morning, i.e. my appointment which they already rescheduled once has been cancelled. When I called back I reached an answering service which could do little other than listen to me vent, so I didn't even get a chance to reschedule my appointment this time. Obviously Comprehensive Dermatology does not want my business and, based on their crude customer service, does not deserve it. I had to take time off work for this appointment so now I guess I'll just sit on my @$$ Monday morning with nothing to do. read more

I bought a bundle package for laser hair removal sessions several years ago and had good results for my face initially, so I bought another bundle to do my bikini line too. I did 1 session of bikini and came back for my third face treatment and the laser bunt the hell out of my neck because the laser wasn't calibrated (I know this because the very next woman after me was also burned). Dr. Lee did treat my burns, but It still took months and months for the burns to heal and the scars to finally fade (I still have some shadowing even now). Understandably I was upset and freaked out and didn't want them to touch me with the laser again, so I tried getting in touch with their billing department to either get my money back for my unused sessions or exchange my laser sessions for microsermabrasion instead, which I actually really liked in the few times I tried it there. Over the years I've called and called and called and left countless messages and have yet to ever get a single call back. At this point I'm fed up. They rode off with my $400 and left me scarred when I was in my prime (early 20s), and all for nothing. At this point, I just want everyone to know publicly how irresponsible and unprofessional they are so they can look for another dermatology center that actually does right by their patients. read more

Dr. Gaspard is fabulous. Unfortunately, this center really needs better support staff to help run the office. I specially got off from work early today to send my daughter for an appt with Gaspard only to be informed that our appt was cancelled, last minute. The receptionist insisted the office called. I told her my home phone is set so calls are automatically forwarded to my cell even if no one's home to answer calls. There's no way I could have missed any calls. The receptionist didn't even dare look me in the eye throughout our conversation. This incident only shows the irresponsibility of the support staff. Did they even bother to call my cell??? NO!!! Apart from this incident, there were several occasions where I had to called the nurse several times before a prescription is filled. I'd leave a message and needed to call the office again 3 days later to bug them about the prescription not being filled. A good Dr's office really need a good team of support staff...this center certainly does not have any, sad to say! read more

I had a great experience here today! I went in for laser hair removal on the lower half of my legs. I was a little worried about the pain, but they gave me a numbing cream so I barely felt anything! The price is hard to beat, and the staff is really helpful and nice! I was hesitant about trying fillers, and I'm so glad I picked Comprehensive Dermatology to take the leap! Very pleased with the results from Dr. Gaspard, who's a trainer of other docs in administering injectables. After a complimentary consultation with Mary Lou, who very thoroughly explained the procedure and what I could expect, we worked on a plan tailored to what I wanted (no big obvious makeover, just fewer lines) and my budget; I started with Botox and Juvederm, very natural and no issues afterward. Mary Lou also recommended some good basic skin care products -- I like to keep it simple. Office is bright and welcoming, front office staff personable. My wait time was reasonable. I have been pretty disappointed in my experience with Dr. Gaspard at Comprehensive Dermatology. This is a huge practice with absolutely no personalized attention. You can expect to spend 200 seconds with the doctor. Dr. Gaspard didn't even touch me or look at my skin during my appointments for a dermatology issue; she just asked me some very routine questions. At my follow-ups, she seems to have no idea who I am or why I am there. Is it that difficult to look at my chart before coming into the room? When I asked her questions about possible side effects of medication she was prescribing, she seemed annoyed. I would not recommend Dr. Gaspard unless you want a long wait for a super-short appointment with a doctor who doesn't care about you. read more

When I called them they told me that the doctor is busy and she would call me when she could. I want to thank Krista For giving me a 20% discount after I called and complained to Laura. Krista stated I must have misunderstood when she said my insurance covered 2 mole removals per person per visit. So when my husband and I had 2 moles removed each. In front of her and 2 staff members that heard her sales pitch. Not only did my insurance NOT fully cover the mole removals as she stated they would, but we were billed with her 20%discount $1511. 91 including our USC care medical group charges. I just want to state first Krista said insurance would cover the removals, then I feel she should have clearly stated do you WANT this removed and a biopsy done vs. you NEED to have this removed and a biopsy. I most likely would not have paid to have my moles removed unnecessarily in exchange for scars. I have never given a place one star because there's usually something redeeming. This time, there's nothing redeeming. I've been here twice, and both times I have felt like this place just wants to get your money and isn't interested in actually helping. I have no problems paying for good service -- I pay out of pocket for an acupuncturist and a naturopath doctor, but if you don't even help at all and try to charge two people -- one person whom didn't even really get seen -- that means you really only care about money. Here's what happened: my husband has been getting bug bites. I'm not really getting them, but when he called, I guess the receptionist set up two appointments within 15 minutes of each other. When we got there, we told them that we just wanted to go in together because I wasn't really having any issues. They said it was OK. I didn't fill out any paperwork, nor did they take my insurance card. They just took his. We went in, and the "doctor" barely looked at my husband's bites -- didn't notice how different each bite was. She almost seemed afraid of being around us. Seemed surprised and made a comment about how we were ready for her because he had taken his socks and shoes off to show her the bites on his ankles. I showed her one of my bites because I was pretty sure mine were mosquito bites and looked different from my husband's bites. She took a picture of one of the bites and said she had to get a second opinion. Left and came back quickly and said there's nothing she can do and that we should call pest control. We left, and when we went to pay the co-pay, they were charging us TWO co-pays. I told them that I wasn't really examined, and the receptionist said it was because we took up the doctor's time with two appointments. I told her that we didn't take up the doctor's time with two appointments...that we went in together and she only really looked at my husband for about 1 minute, left and came back and said there's nothing she can do and to call pest control. The receptionist told us to hold on and then ushered us into the office manager's office, who proceeded to tell us the same things. We left and felt totally taken advantaged of! $50 for them to tell us to call pest control?!? At a hospital visit about a year ago, an emergency room doctor saw us and didn't charge us because they couldn't do anything about it! They sent us home and told us they weren't even charging us the co-pay! And this place had the nerve to charge us TWO co-pays! We went to a naturopath doctor the next day, and she was extremely thorough, was really surprised the dermatologist didn't look at and assess the little red bumps that didn't look like bug bites to her, and only charged for one person, even though I was in the room and showed her one of my old bites that looked different from my husband's. I have never experienced anything like this kind of ridiculous money grubbing in my life. If you want someone who cares about you, do NOT go to this place. read more

Not happy....I just came back from my total body skin check with Dr. Lee with an appointment time of 11:00am ....I drove 30 miles and am very conscious of time and don't like ever being late. I arrived at 10:50. The front office receptionist told me that she was running behind a 1/2 hr. Why would you not call patients and let them know? This office has more than one front office person. I waited until 11:40 when I spoke up and was told that they were getting a room ready. I was escorted to a room and and told her that I've had melanoma twice. The dr. came into the room at 11:45, said hi and no apology about being 45 minutes behind schedule, she promptly looked me over...using nothing more than her eyes....no scope or magnifier. That lasted no more than 4-5 minutes and she was done. She told me that I should have a chemical peel, but agreed that I have nothing on my face at this time to be concerned. I walked to the front desk to pay my specialist co-pay of $70.00. The woman took my card...and said good-bye without even looking up at me. BTW...for more than a decade I worked in the medical field as both front office receptionist and medical assistant. A friendly smile and common courtesies go a long way. This office in my humble opinion needs some customer service training, some warmth and smiles, instead of focusing on up selling products and procedures. I won't be returning nor will I recommend this practice, surely there are "specialists" who's office offer more than a "mow, blow and go" attitude and respect their patients time too. read more

I really like this place because the doctors here are very professional. My review is for dr. Lee who is pretty difficult to get an app with, the wait time is pretty long but she is a great professional. She is thorough when she does your skin check ups. I gave this place 4 stars because I didn't like their esthetician and the results I got from my facial. I got so many breakouts that I had to see a dermatologist a month after the facial and burn those bumps off. I never get any breakouts, my skin is very dry. I get facials regularly so I don't know what went wrong with their facialist. Otherwise, if you're looking for a good dermatologist, this us a great place. read more

I have had numerous positive experiences at Comprehensive Dermatology Center of Pasadena. I see Dr. Sara Gaspard for annual skin checks and concerns and recently I tried some cosmetic procedures for the first time. I was very nervous and needed some information so I sat down with Mary Lou Brimecombe for a consultation. Mary Lou provided detailed explanations of all the cosmetic options and services available. I felt confident that I had received an accurate description of the services, recovery time and I had a reasonable expectation of my outcome. I have had 2 separate trinity sessions done here. One by a Physician and one done by Nurse Kimberly. My results after the laser procedures done by Kimberly have been OUTSTANDING!!!!! I had terrible discoloration on my face requiring extensive cover-up and makeup and now-I no longer have to wear makeup!!! In 2015, I was diagnosed with melanoma by a dermatologist at another center. I consulted Dr. Lee, who performed the 2-part excision surgery. She did a wonderful job and the procedure was successful in excising the cancerous cells. She also took great care to minimize the scar that was left behind. I've seen Krista, Physicians Assistant, every 3-4 months since then, for full body skin checks. I absolutely adore Krista. My insurance changed and I paid out of pocket to see her for a year before going back an insurance that covers CDC, because there is no one that I trust more than her with my skin checks. She is so thorough and she makes you feel so comfortable! She is also compassionate and reassuring, very skilled at biopsies, and always welcoming when I have a concern, a new spot, or a question. I hate to be writing this but I need to warn anyone who is planning to see Dr. Butler. She is a wonderful doctor and very knowledgeable and helpful however, her nurse to the best of my knowledge does not even exist. I have called and left messages so many times regarding important questions and things I need help with regarding my prescription. Because I am on accutane it is important to handle things quickly and efficiently. She has not once called me back!!! Not once! Who is this person? I don't know because she never answers the phone or handles her business. And every time I call the front office they insist I speak with Dr. Butler's nurse. She doesn't exist!! An outstanding group of dermatologists. I first visited Dr. Quinn in the previous office on Green St. I got to the age where cosmetic procedures were on the horizon so I visited Dr. Gaspard.....fantastic results! Then a couple of skin cancers sent me to Dr. Lee for Mohs surgery. She was very thorough in explaining the procedures, and approximate time that I would be in the office. Did not experience any discomfort whatsoever, and there are no visible signs of where the incisions were. Her demeanor is very friendly and almost made the whole experience enjoyable...... My last 3 visits have been with Krista Smith, P.A., and I couldn't be more satisfied with her knowledge, skills, and her warm and caring personality. I have not had any contact with Dr. Butler, but I can imagine that she is excellent too.
