I've been here a couple of times, once bc I had an issue with the skin around my eyes and I was very happy with my experience. The nurse took her time to look at my condition and prescribed a treatment and home care. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but she was sooooo nice. This was for a medical issue. The second time I came here was on November 9th 2019 for Botox. I was late but they were very cool about it and still saw me. I had 2 different nurses/PA's come in the room before Dr. Gaspard, they both kept asking where I wanted the injections, ummmm what? You guys are the medical pros, take a look at my face and tell me where you think I need it. I've gotten Botox before. Usually I get about 20-25 units max. Dr. Gaspard burst in the room, grabbed like 8 syringes, and tenderized my forehead and crows feet with 40 units of Botox, (which I guess is the FDA's limit). Barely said two words to me, didn't ask me what I wanted to do, didn't explain where she thought I needed the Botox most, nothing, just poked n poked. I have never gotten that much Botox in my life. It's mostly in my 11's (the lines in between my brows) where I need the stuff. It was the most impersonal experience ever. They were running a special on Botox and I assume they just gave everyone the max amount to make the most money off their promo. What a scam. I'll just stick to more things expensive places that actually take the time to talk and listen to their patients. Also, it's been just over a month and I'm already getting a good amount of movement back in my forehead, Botox is supposed to last 2+ months, I'm willing to bet they aren't even using the full strength, probably diluting it with saline. Tbh I'm glad tho bc a big part in the art of injectables is injecting them into the right area. Where Dr. Gaspard injected into my eyebrow area caused my eyebrows to droop a bit, it's actually supposed to 'lift' the area if done properly. Will not be returning read more

She does move pretty quickly so I recommend writing down all your questions. She's the best at Botox. I had my skin biopsy with Dr. Lee in December 2021 and I just like my initial consultation with Dr. Black I am very impressed with this practice as they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The only part I didn't like was the lidocaine injection for numbing (which hurt like hell) but then again local anesthesia isn't always comfortable. Dr. Lee even guided me through breath work to help me calm down as I am not a big fan of needles (though I am slowly overcoming that fear). The process was so quick and she made sure I had an antibiotic ointment waiting for me at my local CVS. I followed up with her in January 2022 and I was very pleased with how quick the biopsy site healed; you can barely notice that anything was done with it. Best of all Dr. Lee essentially removed my mole! I consulted her on an unusual lesion on my nose, she wasn't too concerned with it but she could remove it. She didn't rush me and said I can come back when ready. Ever since I have been coming to Comprehensive Dermatology I like how they don't "sell you"on the cosmetic side. If I could give negative stars I would. I'm sure these are highly qualified medical doctors. But if you are going here for any cosmetic procedures, think twice. I bought a package for 3 IPL sessions. First one did nothing. Second one I told them nothing happened the first round, so they increased frequency and it was better. Third one, one of the doctors did my session. She didn't use the machine correctly, and removed a chunk of skin from the bridge of my nose. Another doctor tried to compensate by giving me a free microdermabrasion session. I've waited almost a whole year to write this review, to give my skin a chance to fully heal. I still have a noticeable scar. I will never go back for any cosmetic procedures here again read more

I came here following my favorite PA Gina from another location. She's the best!! Everyone in this office has been lovely and welcoming. Gina continues to be amazing. Whether I'm there for skin/mole concerns, skin cancer screening... Or cosmetic procedures ... she is always so professional, caring, and honest. She's the only person to finally get me to stop tanning! I only trust her with my cosmetic procedures, because she is honest and fair, and I trust her candor when I may not need a filler or an injection at the moment, or I don't need as much as I think, because sometimes I don't see myself clearly. Dr. Gaspar and Dr Lee specifically are both kind and knowledgeable. The gals behind the desk are often busy, but they always have taken their time to check me in and out without issues. Update Review: all the meds she prescribed have ingredients I am allergic to. She was unable to help me through that process in finding replacement meds. I had to see other specialists to help me. My first appt was today for skin cancer screening and help with rosacea. I saw a PA, Rasha Dabbousi. She was friendly, knowledgable and thorough. She gave me a topical prescription. She mentioned other treatments (laser, etc.) that may work for my skin issues, but didn't push. She suggested I meet with Mary Lou re: other procedures, but she wasn't available and I had to leave. This is where my 5-star rating dropped to a 3. The woman at desk tried to sell me several products. I understand it's a business, but this really put me off. With other patients in the area, I felt awkward explaining why I wasn't buying/booking add'l services right then. She briefly explained VBeam and seemed to expect me to sign up on the spot. I wanted to see how the new prescription worked first (before investing hundreds of dollars). Bottom line, I was more open to doing other procedures there before this part of my visit. This is really different from my experience with other dermatology practices. The idea of medi-spa type services alongside dermatology seems like a natural, but the sales push made me feel like my medical needs were secondary to my buying add'l services and products. Not sure I would go back, even though Rasha seemed great. read more

I am writing MY FIRST YELP REVIEW and decided to write it on The Comprehensive Dermatology Center. I have been a patient here since 2012. I already had a sense that their staff is not warm and fuzzy. The receptionist and the lady who takes your co-pay at the end. She doesn't say thank you, have a nice day to you at all, she doesn't smile or no eye contact when booking your next appointment. My visit on Tuesday, 4/12/2016 was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I had a facial done here in February, 2016. Their medical Aesthetician, Sandra recommended a facial/skin product called REVISION so I purchased it. The cost was roughly $200. The product kept making my face dry and I was still breaking out. It dried out my skin horribly. Their medical Aesthetician recommended that I should buy it after I had my facial done. At the time of purchase I was not informed of any return polices nor was anything printed on a contract that I signed or even on the receipt that was given to me. I was NOT aware of any return policy nor informed at any of my visits. When I came in for my appointment on April 12th for a follow-up with Krista Smith and spoke to the front counter personnel (Ruby), I told her I was very unsatisfied with my product and would like to return it with a full refund. They would not take the product back and insisted they had a policy only if I had an allergic reaction. So Ruby offered to give me 20% off on another product for me to buy. I said, no. Why would I buy another product when I already spent almost $200. You want me to spend more money when I already lost $200? Then she repeatedly said we can give you 20% off on another product. I said, You are pretty much ripping me off, 20 % off is not good enough. I want my $200 back. I told Ruby, how would you feel if you were in my shoes. She stop and paused, then she replied again and said, we can only give you 20% off on another product. So I said, you are not listening to me. This is not good enough. At this point, I am getting pissed off. (Ruby sounds like a robot. I'm sure her manager told her that's the only thing she can offer. I'm sure she is caught in the middle) I was so disturbed that no one cared that I was getting so upset. Ruby eventually gave me a free moisturizer at a $32 value. I said, really? Ruby said, really you don't wan't it? I said, It's the principle. Don't you get it? I started crying. (i'm not the type of person that yells). This really upset me. Anyway, it was my time to see Krista, but it took a long time for Krista to see me. The manager, Ruby and Krista must have talked to find a way to keep the product. Krista, said two of the products Vitamin K and Toner were the ones causing my skin to dry up. That even made me mad even more. Krista was apologetic and try to resolve the issue even though it wasn't her issue. So she gave me a moisturizer. I DID NOT GET A REFUND AT ALL FOR MY PRODUCT. DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. MONEY HUNGRY!!! THEY ARE BIG ON INJECTIONS, BOTOX AND ALL THOSE TYPE OF PROCEDURES. They want to up sell you. They don't really care about you as a customer. THE STAFF DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR CAUSING ME TO BE SO UPSET. I asked to speak to her Manager and she went into a room and came back out and offered me a free Moisturizer which I did not want. I told her I want to return the product that I was not satisfied with. A ManAger never came out to see me at all. The only saving grace on this was Krista Smith, PA and her Medical Assistant who apologized on their behalf and was very sincere. I DID NOT get an apology from their staff. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I really like Krista. She is the only one that really listens and cares. She has really good bedside manner and she is really concern about your skin. The other doctor I have seen (Gaspard) did not take her time at all. I giving them ONE STAR!!!!! This is me being nice. read more

Comprehensive Dermatology Center offers dermatology and cosmetic procedures. I've been a patient for both, and I had good experiences. The doctors and staff here are very competent. DERMATOLOGY *I saw Dr. Gasperd, and although my appointment with her felt rushed, she analyzed my problem right away. Her recommendation worked so I was happy. *I saw Krista for another skin condition. It's easier to get an appointment with her, and my appointments started on time. I thought she was great and really knew her stuff. I asked her a lot of questions, and I was appreciative that she took the time to hear me out and educate me about my skin. COSMETIC *I tried a Matrix laser service with Kimberly, and she does great work. She has some appointments on Saturday, and her appointments start on time. OTHER THINGS TO KNOW *They don't validate parking. Expect to pay about $6 if you use the hospital lot. read more

She gets 5 stars personally! The office staff however is not stellar which is why I gave the three star rating. They are nice but slightly inept. My prescription was supposed to be called in hours ago to a pharmacy that THEY recommended. I called my pharmacy and the prescription had never been called in. I called the office and the front desk lady said that it was 'being worked on'. I can't imagine that it would take long to call a prescription in and then she asked me what the prescription was and what pharmacy to call when all of this should've been in my file. I have also become a regular client of Sandra Callin, the Medical Esthetician, and her care has been top notch! I trust her completely with my skin care and it has made an enormous difference. I have been going to comprehensive Dermatology for years and have never been disappointed! The office is beautiful and the staff have always been very effeciant and kind. I love that I can get all my skin care need taken care of in one place, its a one stop shop :). Not only do they provide excellent skin care, but they have a number of excellent products available for purchase, and in-house esthetician, and an in-house pharmacy so you can leave with your prescription. I haven't seen anyone here except Dr. Gapsard and she is AMAZING! She is caring, careful, and very through! I never feel rushed and I always feel like she genuinely cares about me and my skin. My son also sees Dr. Gapsard and he LOVES her. She has given him is confidence back and that is priceless! Dr. Quinn is amazing. I came here as a new patient (referred by Anthem BC). The ladies at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The office is very clean, professional and seems to be technologically updated (Dr. Quinn was using a tablet when she saw me). Came in here for a couple of weird spots on my skin, which she advised were probably due to three different causes. She then offered me some free samples to help it go away so I didn't have to spend the $ at a pharmacy since it would only take a few days to clear up. Dr. Quinn was very friendly and informative. One of my fave doctors so far. I would definitely recommend Dr. Quinn and her office to anybody that needs a dermatologist. This place also seems to do facials and other cosmetic procedures. Last week I went for an IPL laser treatment. My bad I didn't do enough research. You see, I had a laser treatment in New Orleans at NOLA Dermatology a few months ago. The treatment in New Orleans was nothing short of miraculous. I came out of that appointment looking like I had been on vacation for 6 months. Of course being from California I would expect that dermatology centers here would be far advanced over anything east of California. How shortsighted and very California of me! When you get a laser treatment, IPL is not what you want. This is 10 yr old technology invented for people very first skinned who want to have downtime after a laser treatment. ND YAG laser is the more modern approach for Photo Rejuvenation Facials. Unfortunately ND YAG is not offered at this office for PRF and I was told that it is not appropriate for photo rejuvenation facials. I find this to be laughable. I learned not to assume that just because something is in California it is progressive or modern. Further do not assume that they are trying to cater to people with a variety of skin tones. IPL is very limiting - ND YAG can be performed on even suntanned skin without a problem and with amazing results. Comprehensive Dermatology is good if you have a regular dermatological skin problem and you enjoy old school treatments. You need to price check before you purchase any over-the-counter anything in there. I priced a couple of products that were $100 over the price I usually pay. It is convenient that they have their own pharmacy. read more

I have been going to Dr. Gaspard for the last five years because she continues to do an absolutely amazing job at treating my skin and it has never looked better! Not only do I trust her with my skin but also with my son's, who had ongoing rashes over the years and was finally able to get it diagnosed and treated by Dr. Gaspard. My last treatment this week was a laser for rosacea; which was quick and helped clear up my redness considerably! Her knowledge and expertise in recommending successful solutions have made me a loyal patient. I also like that Dr. Gaspard won't recommend unnecessary treatments if she doesn't think you need them. I was looking to get lip injections for quite some time. Over a year ago I received lip injections from a nurse practitioner in Glendale who I thought was experienced, but I ended up getting uneven lips! I was so sad knowing that my time and money was wasted. A year later when the product slowly dissolved from my lips, I decided to find a doctor that could give me the lips I had always hoped for. After endless searching, I came across Dr. Black at Comprehensive Dermatology Center. Dr. Black gave me half a syringe of Restylane and the procedure did not take much time. I received topical numbing. The lip injections did not hurt as much as I had expected it to ( & not to mention, I was SO happy I didn't bruise). I was vocal about what I wanted and what I did not want, and Dr. Black took her time to listen to me and explain exactly how the procedure was going to go. It was refreshing to work with a doctor that listened to all my needs. The picture I am posting to my review honestly speaks for itself. My lips were so uneven, thin, and lacked volume. After just half a syringe of Restylane and Dr.Black's magic, my lips are transformed! The before and after picture is like Lindsay Lohan 2014 vs Beyonce 2018! LOL! She's amazing! I've been a patient of CDC with PA Krista Smith since March 2017-present. I was actually referred by another dermatologist office to CDC. I had experienced a severe chemical burn on my entire face and the right lower side of my neck. It was a result of a botched chemical peel gone wrong that was done by an esthetician at a spa I had visited a few days prior to my visit to CDC back in March. I was devastated and concerned because of hyperpigmentation, scarring due to my skin color (olive/tan). I couldn't even go to work because of the pain, swelling and severity of the chemical burn. Krista Smith helped me fully recover with the prescriptions she prescribed total of three ointments for burns, scarring and infection. Within about 7-10 days my face healed. I was able to return to work and did not wear a ton of make up to hide the burn. My skin is back to normal, my pigment has evened out and I can now wear no make up on the days when I want to be make up free. The staff was professional, kind and helpful (from the time I walked in to my exit). I have been under Krista Smith's care for monitoring/duration of my healing process. I am not one to write reviews for offices. This is my first review ever, but ive never been so dissatisfied and disappointed by a dermatology office in my life as I have been with this one. Ive been struggling with chronic acne for 10 years and have done Acutane before. My acne had me spiral into a deep depression this past year and I felt hopeless. I am now on my second round of Acutane as this was my last resort and a very hard decision for me to make since it was very hard on my body the first time. Dr. Gaspard always seemed in a rush with me and lacked compassion. I live 3 hours away so I did Zoom calls with her. Every appointment I had with her she was 30 min late and when she got online she only chatted with me for 5 minutes. One Zoom call she didn't even show up. When I go into the office every 3 months in person she seemed very rushed and her assistant Illiana (i believe was her name) was not friendly at all. I had to remind her multiple times to call in my prescription into the pharmacy as they would forget. The last appointment I was going to have in person was rescheduled twice! The first time I got a call from the office saying that Dr. Gaspard wasn't going to be in that day anymore so they had me reschedule. Then as time came around for my appointment I got another call from the office that the day I scheduled wasn't going to work anymore and I wasn't given any reason as to why. That was my last straw. I decided I was not going to reschedule my appointment and find a new dermatologist which I should have done a long time ago. Overall this experience was a nightmare. I am also in healthcare and these people were extremely unprofessional and had terrible bedside manner. Please save yourself from this kind of experience and take my word for it. This team is amazing! I found the office on the Patient Navigation Center at The National Psoriasis Foundation. I needed a Dr that would put MY needs first and Dr Gaspard did just that! She took her time, discussed treatment options and chose the best medication for my Psoriasis. Her staff has always treated me with the utmost kindness and care. I've changed jobs, and sometimes had a lul in getting approved for my meds and they have always stepped up to the plate to make sure I was taken care of. Yesterday I was there to pick up a sample of my meds and deliver the paperwork needed for the patient assistance program. Michelle not only offered to send it in for me, she also called the rep for the drug and I was able to get my meds For one full year, stress free and clear.
