My first time doing a sleep study and receiving a machine, and Christine Welch was so kind, FUNNY, and patience.

Just do it, it's life changing. This is one of the best decisions I made as a parent, for our whole…read morehousehold. Our baby is sleeping 11 hours at night with no wake-ups, with 3 hours of naps with clockwork consistent timing. I truly believed our son was just on the very low end of the sleep needs range. At 10 months old, he was still going to bed late, waking 2-4 times a night, and waking up early in the morning. We read a lot online about sleep routines and optimization of the sleep environment. We tried non-stimulating activities before bedtime. We tried "drowsy but awake". Nothing made an appreciable difference. It felt like we'd tried everything and exhausted online resources. We were in desperate need of consistent and continuous sleep. Admittedly, I previously felt pressured by a lot of the recent social media posts saying sleep training is harmful and unnatural. These claims are NOT backed by science by the way. I was wary that sleep training would be synonymous with "cry it out" and did not want my baby to feel abandoned. Thankfully, Kendra provided precise and gentle sleep training instruction. There were some tears, but we were in the room with him to provide comfort as we both learned a new skill together. The differentiators were (i) having a very detailed plan that I could follow, not just general concepts, (ii) receiving benchmarks of how long he would take to go down and how long certain phases would last, and (iii) having a resource to ask questions to as bespoke situations arose. Kendra's plan and support has given me the confidence to handle nighttime sleep and naps like a pro. She has given me back crucial nighttime sleep, so I can continue to work to my fullest potential and give tons of energy to my son during playtime. She's taken away the fear of "solo parenting" while my husband is away on travel for work.

Kendra was able to answer all of our questions and offered great support and advice throughout the two weeks we worked with her. After a few days in we finally had our first night of no wake ups! I would definitely recommend her for anyone needing help getting their baby to sleep!!

I scheduled for a sleep study and on the evening that the study was to be done I arrived and the…read moretechnician attempted to do a fever check with an infrared thermometer. The reading came back as 91.9 which was ridiculous. She attempted several more times before admitting that the device wasn't working. So no one was getting proper fever checks when arriving at the facility as a result. There was no backup thermometer for her to use either. I have an slight asthma problem and wearing a face mask does cause me to cough from time to time and when I told the technician that I had had a COVID-19 test twelve days prior she said to write down that down on the COVID-19 questionnaire sheet and to write that it was negative. Well, I hadn't received a phone call confirming that it was negative and I had no COVID-19 symptoms but, yes, I could be asymptomatic. So I told her so and then her demeanor completely changed and she insisted that I had to reschedule and leave. I guess she thought I had COVID-19 as A) she couldn't get a valid temperature check, B) I coughed a few times in my mask (I wanted to show my asthma inhaler but no time for that) and C) that my COVID-19 test result wasn't back yet. I can understand that they need to keep the facility and others safe there. COVID is highly infectious and I don't want to be the means of someone else catching it if I were to have it and not know. But a COVID-19 test only shows that you didn't have COVID at the day/time the sample was taken. I very well could have gotten COVID two or three days ago and been walking around with it without knowing. So the test is of little value other than to fulfill legal requirements. I was never told that I would have to bring any proof of a negative COVID-19 test either. Taking a sleep study is a risk as one doesn't know how well they cleaned the beds or the rooms at the center but it's something I need to get done unfortunately. In any case, I found another nearby sleep study center that actually conducts their own COVID-19 test so I'm going to them instead. From the other reviews, it doesn't seem like this sleep study center is all that great. Having to share a bathroom is also something I don't think I would've liked.

Shazia was fantastic! However the Marblestone facility has much to be desired. The first thing I…read morenoticed was how hot the air temperature was and asked for it to be turned down. I was told it was 74F (way too hot to sleep) and staff was unable to lower the temp because it is set for the entire building. The one old fan in the room rattled and clicked. The room wasn't very dark with light coming in from the main walkway. The bathroom is a shared one that is located in the main hallway and lacked a proper door. Also, the noise was terrible. Even over the noisy fan, I could hear the staff walking around as well as the patients getting ready to leave in the morning. I expected a cool, quiet room but got the opposite. I wasn't able to complete the study but had to pay the full cost. Overall, a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend it. In response to Medprime: I was to do the MSLT but due to the conditions of the facility I didn't get the number of hours of sleep required. The technician ended the study early. Also, I was supposed to be tested for restless leg but the wires fell off early in the night. The technician new about this but didn't put them back on because she said they would just fall of again.
