Specific to 82nd & Holgate branch. I had been dispatched to…read morejobs for about a year, and it was all short duration work. The promise of getting a long term job was never available in the year I was with LaborWorks even though they led me to believe I could obtain long term employment. I believed my weekly pay, specifically the amount of hours they dispatched me to work per week was always being suppressed. I know this because I was making apx. $300 a week at LaborWorks and then I switched to People Ready on Sandy (no longer on Sandy), I made $600 the first week I was with People Ready. How can this be? I believed I was being sent to third rate jobs. Considering my educational background, and excellent work history, this was insulting to my intelligence (to put it nicely). Again, I had been dispatched from the 82nd & Holgate branch for the most part of a year, and the last day was an interesting event. The last day wasn't on a job, but just prior to being dispatched for a job, I was in the office having a conversation with the branch manager. This interaction & how the office manager escalated a problem, and then slanderously attacked me out of spite, writing slanderous implications into my record, something LaborWorks is putting themself at risk of a slander/libel lawsuit for doing. I have self respect, and as a person educated as to how to handle verbally abusive/insulting co-workers, I did as any professional person would under the circumstances. I walked away from the verbally abusive/insulting manager. I faintly remember saying something similar to, I'm not going to allow myself to be subjected to this. I then turned to my left and walked out the door. Because I stopped his harassment, he spitefully made a slanderous comment about me in my records so that I could no longer be dispatched. It is my strong recommendation that you should seek employment as a security guard (if you can) a much better job than anything LaborWorks can provide. If I was so bad why did they keep dispatching me for an entire year? Before this office interaction? Go elsewhere, this company has proven to me to be extremely challenged when it comes to doing the right thing for ethical workers. I eventually landed a job without the help of any temp service. I basically changed my strategy and began attending job fairs, sitting across from employers. The first employer I sat across from hired me on the spot, and I worked at Intel for the most part of the first year, remaining with the company (sub contractor) for the next 6 years working 40+ hours a week. If LaborWorks is correct in their assessment, why was I able to be more successful at some other company where non of these abusive manager behaviors were present? That's the point, It wasn't an issue with me, it was an issue with LaborWorks.

With my experiance personally facing recent situations that eventually led to me getting hung up onvneeding his assistance seemed to annoy, frustrate and irritate him he makes it a point to make sure you know your a inconvienence. He doesnt hold his team to any kind of responsabilities the staff communication is a joke. The company and the employees being staffed and represented by this incompetent branch manager deserve to be treated like people and like employees. A report to BBB was made. Dina is the only one people actually comunicate with she is straight forward and confident in herself to succesfully handle situations big or small stressfull or frustating. Brandon the branch manager could learn alot about problem solving and handling employee situation from her.

I hired Blake Dore of Dore Law Firm to represent me in a traffic case in Clackamas County Justice…read moreCourt. Based on my experience, Blake Dore came to court without having adequately prepared or developed arguments for the case. I was informed for the first time shortly before the hearing that he believed the County's case was essentially "bulletproof" and that there were no viable arguments to make. This assessment was not communicated in advance, and there was no prior discussion of strategy or whether proceeding to trial was advisable. After the hearing, I asked specific questions about why certain arguments were not raised, particularly arguments based on the correct revision of the manufacturer's manual that corresponded to the radar unit actually used in my case. Blake Dore acknowledged that those arguments were not made and explained that decisions were driven largely by how he believed the judge would react, rather than by the substance of the arguments themselves. When I pressed for explanations, my questions were not meaningfully engaged with. Preparation was described primarily in terms of obtaining discovery, negotiating, and the officer "checking the boxes" the judge typically requires, rather than coming to court with fully developed arguments. Additionally, I was not contacted after the trial to be informed of the outcome. I did not receive notice that the case had been lost until 17 days later, when I was finally sent a message through the firm's online portal. I understand that not every case can be won. However, I expect advance communication, clear strategy discussions, and timely follow-up. Based on my experience, those standards were not met, and I would not recommend hiring Blake Dore. I believe it would be a more sound decision to retain a different attorney.

Communication was excellent, and he took care of the entire process from start to finish. I didn't have to go to court, and the outcomes were all dismissals. Definitely recommend him for traffic ticket help.
