a bunch of crabs in a container

We had a great experience at Om. Wanted to get some fresh Dungeness - Father-In-Law did a survey of several locations, Om ended up being the more reasonable with the best inventory. We came in with a cooler, they "tared" the cooler before they gave us the crabs. Ended up with eight good-sized crab, cost was $134. Did a family crab fest that night, couldn't finish everything we bought. The six of us got through all of the legs but there were still five bodies untouched (which we de-meated and shared out later). Just a thought for anyone - there's a lot of work involved but the reward is great!

Got some king crab legs here and they were good quality. Price was very fair and I will return here for more king crab legs in the future. Pre covid they use to have the live king crab while in season.

Live main lobster $13.99 lb. Delicious!!

This place has consistently provided some of the freshest seafood around and at a reasonable price. They are known for their live products. I've been to other places where there are sometimes distinct smells, you know, kind of fishy. Of course you can smell the sea in this shop, but not the funky fishyness we try to avoid. Last time there, I purchased the clams, mussels, and lobster. All was fantastic!! I am not sure if other people can taste the difference between live seafood cooked fresh versus not live. I sure can tell when I cook and consume these delicious bounties of the ocean. Sooo good!! If you are unsure how to cook these babies, get on Pinterest and check out all the wonderful shared recipes. So now you know I go all over in search of great food, but also happy to prepare some goodies at home :).

Went to get some fresh clams, mussels and shrimp for some Father's Day treat.

My dad loved it. He indicated that the clam meat were the biggest and juiciest he has had for a while from any other place so he was very satisfied! My family enjoyed our Father's Day dinner! I ordered 6lbs clams, 4lbs mussels, and 4lbs of shrimps.

Usually we have a wonderful experience here at the seafood company. I run a restaurant I needed ice for the seafood to stay safe for travels. They tell me I don't need it it's good. To go buy it somewhere else. I'm like this seafood won't be cooked until tomorrow for an event. Can I buy ice from you no go somewhere to buy it. Thanks another stop was not in my route.

Took a day trip from Seattle to Portland this past Sunday 4/24/22. Before headed back, there was no way we were leaving Oregon without any seafood! I Yelped a few places and OM seafood seemed to catch my attention. When we arrived , their parking lot seemed to be empty. I panicked a little since their signage said Closed but supposedly we're still open. I walked in and inquired...they were open! There were about 3 Chinese women working, and only one seems to be able to communicate in English. They were pretty nice and accommodating so! After a couple minutes in there being all wide eyed with the variety of live seafood a crowd of people arrived. I guess this place was pretty popular with the locals! Their live tanks were filled with Dungeness crab, Spot Prawns, Manila Clams, Butter Clams, Razor Clams, Rock Crab, Periwinkles, Cockles, and Crawfish. I was also able to purchase a cooler box, even though I had a cooler to use to bring back to Hawaii. The price was very affordable for the quality of Seafood they had. I would have surely spent double or even triple the price I paid if I purchased them back in Hawaii! I purchase 6 live Dungeness crabs, 5lbs of Manila clams & 5lbs of butter clams. All alive after a 5hr flight the next day. Not grittiness or sand in the clams. Crab was very meaty and fresh tasting. Will definitely return here the next time we're in Portland!

First of all let Me say this place is way better than ABC down the street ! The employees are nice and very helpful. The seafood is crazy fresh !! I also find the seafood restaurant next-door to be quite delicious. I've been a returning customer for a few years now . Whenever I bbq or need to get fresh crab or lobster , I always come here . Def recommend this place !

Pacific Northwest Razor clams. Fat and sassy. About $10 for 6.

Their wine bar is fantastic, and good-priced, and it was fun to watch the last of the World Cup here today. If you're looking for something special or hard to find, this is the place, much like the old Pastaworks was on Hawthorne. They really shine on their produce, pasta and fresh meats here, and there's always something new, but I love that you can count on the bakery for your focaccia and other fresh breads. Cheese case is like Rue Cler, Paris--so much selection and they will tell you about each one of them. Don't be afraid to just ask a lot of questions. I wish that they did some little items in the bakery, one of my fondest memories from childhood was going to Pastaworks with my dad and getting a breadstick, probably eating it before we even paid (we did), as we strolled around, and where's the peanut sauce for pasta, another favorite of the old days, yup, I'm old. Can't say enough good things about this place, it can add up though as others have mentioned, but, if you keep to a list or just slow the roll on the impulse buy, it's actually reasonable and you know you're getting what you're paying for. I've never regretted a purchase here or thought it unfair. I mean, it says Fine Foods right there in the name...:) Thank you for the amazing ingredients for dinner tonight, cheers!

I've been a longtime, low-key regular at Hồng Phát for all things Vietnamese and random grocery needs, but this time I found my reason to shout about it. After what felt like a lifetime of hovering and debating, I finally went for it and picked up their Pâté Gan (liver spread) from the refrigerated deli case near the front. Let me tell you: SPREADABLE GOLD! 8oz hand-filled container for $5.95 and worth every single bite. Listed ingredients? Pork Liver, Pork Fat, Pork. (We all know there's more in there, but I'm not here to investigate, just to celebrate.) As a pâté-obsessed Bánh Mì DIY, this blew me away. -Texture: Silky and spreadable perfection. -Taste: Deep, rich, and satisfying without being overly gamey. - Smell: Divine, for those who love a good pâté, you know what I mean. This is officially my new go-to pâté source, alongside my other favorites scattered along 82nd Ave. TIP: Since it's hand-packed from a larger batch, look for condensation inside the container. It can give you a clue about how fresh it is and how long you've got before the quality dips. Don't just rely on the "Sell By" label. Honestly, I still can't believe I slept on this for so long with my skepticism. If you're even mildly into pâté or making your own Bánh Mì at home: run, don't walk.

Extremely Unprofessional Behavior at the Poke Counter…read more Today my friend and I drove to Uwajimaya specifically to buy fresh poke, which we usually enjoy here. When we arrived at the poke bowl service counter, we were standing in front of the menu screens trying to decide what to order. We were not in line yet, because we were still looking at the options and deciding. We had only been standing there for less than three minutes. At the time, there was an Asian male employee helping another customer. After that customer finished ordering, another male employee (tall with long hair) gestured toward me and asked if I was ready to order. I said, "Can I get a mini bowl please?" Instead of confirming my order, he immediately asked whether my friend wanted the same thing. My friend was still deciding and had not said she was ordering yet, so I politely replied that she wasn't sure yet, but I was ready to order mine. The employee then shook his head and slammed the rice container, which completely surprised me. The gesture and attitude felt very disrespectful and unnecessarily aggressive toward a customer. For context, I work in the food service industry myself, so I understand that things can get busy. However, at that moment there were no other customers waiting behind us, so the pressure and frustration displayed by this employee felt very inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt, I told him that it was okay and that I would not order anymore. My friend also said it was okay and that we didn't want anything anymore. Instead of simply letting us go, the employee shouted loudly across the counter, saying "Come back, come back! What do you want? Come back!" while waving his hand at us as if we had to beg for him to serve us. We had done nothing wrong--we were simply looking at the menu and politely asked for a mini bowl. The experience left us feeling confused, pressured, and honestly quite uncomfortable. We later reported the incident to the customer service counter. The female employee there (wearing glasses) listened and said she would forward the report to management. I have visited Uwajimaya many times and usually enjoy shopping here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope management addresses this situation and reminds staff that basic courtesy and patience are essential in customer service. After the incident, we decided not to order poke and only purchased a bottled tea before leaving. We ended up going to another Japanese restaurant nearby for food instead. I'm sharing this experience not to attack the business, but to provide honest feedback. Uwajimaya has always been a place we enjoy visiting, and we would be happy to come back in the future--once we feel confident that customers will not be treated this way again by this particular employee.
