Laptop didn't have charger was wondering if it even works. Didn't even get into the business

I just came from visiting this shop for the first time on 12/15/2022.very unpleasant service just to say I didn't even go inside. I used the ring bell voice command " a guy answered and said "what you need" and I responded but didn't get any answer back for minutes, so I left (came in for a laptop repair) all I got was a unpleasant service if you call that a service "don't go here .it's time to retire

I sent my laptop there because it wouldn't power on. Mind you I bought this laptop brand new and added 8gb of ram myself. Once it got there they diagnosed that my motherboard needed to be repaired with replacing a component. I authorized the repair and once it was given back to me i noticed they downgraded my 2.3ghz quad core motherboard to a 1.7ghz single core motherboard with only 2 gigs of ram. I called and complained and the owner Giovanni said, they didn't replace motherboard and that they only replaced the component. I asked which component and he couldn't specify. Charged me 150 for this thievery. Don't go there preferably go to C & R electronics in inglewood. They are honest and don't steal components off of your computers to make money. read more

Horrible customer service and they don't know what they're doing! I took my computer back to them 3 times. Still never fixed right. Ended up going elsewhere and they told me the problem was completely different than what CompuNet said. Total waste of time and money! read more

I have a HP Laptop that need to be factory reset but it had a Verizon software on it so I went to bestbuy and pretty much couldn't do it So I came to Compunet and they did the factory reset the sameday in 30mins read more

I went to Compunet 1/26/17 to get my charger port and laptop hinges fixed and it cost me $140. When I went to pick up my computer on 2/1/17 I checked and noticed that they removed my $168 Samsung solid state drive which I installed myself to improve my computers performance and they replaced it with a regular hard drive but when I asked about it they denied it. I noticed other reviews stating that the same thing has happened to them. I suggest not doing business with this shop, unless you want to risk losing your components. read more

Make yourself a favor and stay away from them. Save your money and take your electronics elsewhere. Just took my computer like three weeks ago and they just called me back. They charged me $35 just for checking it which should've been a red light. Thats where they make their money. Don't leave it if they're not even doing anything you have approved yet. I end up paying $150 and all they did with my computer is downgraded the motherboard and the one they replaced it with don't even have the HDMI connection the original had, video card got replaced too and can't even use windows movie maker, it can't even detect internet and I already called my internet provider and changed my modem, but still it wont work. The keyboard which is connected on the outside to the piece they changed don't even work properly. They charged me well and they gave me a piece of trash which don't even work anyways. Save your money and take it to some serious place. You might end up paying exactly the same or maybe even less and you going to get something well done. Don't cheap out anyway compunet are anything but cheap. They are going to rob you. YES THEY ARE GOING TO ROB YOU. wish I had read the reviews before I throw away my money with them. I am angry and of course never going back. Rather paying more but getting something well done. Too bad I never noticed what they did until I got home and connected my PC. They were never transparent and tolde me they had ordered a cheap old piece so they could get the most out of what they charged me. You know what I mean? They never called me and told me the piece they were installing was different and didn't have the same performance neither the same connections. I am really upset. I basically throw away my money with them because they have the policy where they are not going to give back your money of course. Now I am stuck with this horrible computer they made of mine and I am with no computer and no money. Make yourself a favor and stay away from them and save your money. Take your electronics else where. read more

This company is not good for computer repairs! They took my computer in, Supposedly they removed a virus, but the computer would not work! They also took off the Product Key to my Operating System so that i could not re-install it later! I do not trust or recommend this company to anyone needing computer repairs!! read more

i took my alienware laptop to have gigs added only to be ripped off.after a year of going back and forward over the phone i finally called jovoni from the parking lot of the store to intern have him to pretend he was sick at a doctor's appointment. so i asked to atleast see my laptop. now at this point i have brought it in to have gigabytes added to the 400+i had.my laptop was returned with a replacement charger.had to buy a universal charger to even look at the computer discovered that one of his employees had erased all of my thing put a web came dating site and still no gigs added.i took it back and was promised that recovery would happen no problem said jovoni. explained to me that uei trains their students there and there was no way to hold the person responsible for the lost of data.dod i mention i dj parties and special events. i called serval times and had had enough. i called from the parking lot and jovoni played as if he wasn't there sick at the doctor. i walked in and if i tell you that was the quickest recovery because he was standing at the desk .smh i asked him could i see my computer still no recovery and no charger and no return stating a policy about storage if left.i agree the policy would apply had i lefted if but that wasn't the case.nor did you give me the opportunity to say if i want a student to work on my laptop if at all that happened, you just took my money disregard that i was a long time customer nor was he able to recover any of my data.threaten to call the police so i filed a complaint with the better business bureau for misconduct, taking my money destroying my dj reputation, so i don't know who got paid to write these good reviews horrible establishment read more

October 31, 2016 Hey neighbors of the Athens Community, Stop by and get your PC serviced by the fine folk at CompuNet in Gardena, CA. Customer service is swell and they "even fix" your computer" in a jiffy! . Jovy addresses me when I enter the business doors. Cio is the greatest manager! I can take my PC in for what I think is mega, and he shows me in the simplest ways, how to perform the functions I attempted. He even gives me a break on some services as a "returning" customer, at least, for me. :) Very satisfied with the great work of this group. I've had a virus removed and my entire hard drive had to be cleaned. Another time, I had the original battery replaced and soon, I'll be getting the original keyboard replaced. On Thursday 7/28/17 I went by CompuNet, dropped off my laptop for repairs. I hadn't used it in over 3 years, was given a quote, the young Lady at the front counter informed me my laptop could be repaired. Less than an hour later, I was texted, as requested, my computer would be ready for pick-up before 6:00pm. Well 5:30pm, I was back to pick-up mywebsite computer. I have been trying to get my laptop fixed for months and no one could figure out what was wrong I took my laptop to CompuNet and less than 24hrs I was picking up my working laptop!!! Very fast turnaround, I was told it could take up to 5 business days to have my computer back and maybe even an additional few days to order the part but they handed in back in 1!!!
