Paying double the price you would for a new part online ANDDDDD you have to bring your own tools to pull the part.

I have been dying to get over to Pull A Part ever since I acquired my car! So I got up this morning and venture to the Atlanta South location! Once I got there, I met serveral very friendly and helpful staff members whom took time to explain to me the pricing, the VIP membership and even told about their part pulling service! I recieved a printout that showed me the area of the models that I was in search of! To my surprise at 9am on a Sunday morning there were alot of people there! With printout in hand I was off! After searching a few cars, I found actually what I was looking for! I was going to take advantage of the part pulling service, but I managed to pull them myself! I had a grand time! I have so much fun that I can't wait to go back! Thank you to all the wonderful and friendly staff that made my 1st visit to Pull A Part a very lucrative and successful! Gah. That was beyond frustrating. I'm not talking about searching a junkyard. I love junkyards. I love the treasure hunt. But Pull-A-Part now does two things that really torque me off. First of all, you can't call in for any real information. There is no human contact to be had in this enterprise. The automated phone system actually tells you that. Gone are the days of "Hey, do you have a car like this, and are the pipes still on it?" But this wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the second thing: Second, (and this is what really makes the first thing really, very bad) is that they charge you $2 to get into the place, just to check the thing out. I can't think of any retail environment that asks me to pay admission before entering. (Membership clubs don't count, plus, membership clubs generally guarantee that I'll get what I'm looking for, unlike this place.) So you can't talk to anyone, you have to drive all the way there, and after you pay admission, you still have no guarantee of finding anything useful. You have to pay to go in blind. This business model sucks for junkyards. You know who gets my business? People who pick up the phone and can help me not waste my time. read more

Usually i don't have time to write a review. However, this Young Lady Cari(hope thats correct) is not only a great asset to the company, she is like a super human. She was kind, funny and she know her stuff. She help me find two parts (headlights and panels) and handle 3 customers and was nice to all of us. This store on Henrico Rd needs more of Cari customer service in the company. I was expecting an attitude like i got last time. KEEP THIS LADY please. She understands your customers. read more

Let's be honest, almost nobody enjoys spending money on their car, unless they happen to be the type of dudes who put those fake porthole shits all over their brand new Kia Sorento or whatever(and those guys always put them in places where it really makes no sense to put portholes like the back hatch and the roof). Pull-A-Part has both saved me tons of money and allowed me to indulge my inner scavenger and shade tree mechanic all at once. I've never left this place empty handed when looking for a particular part and that's saying a lot since I drive a relatively rare vehicle. The website has saved me a lot of hassle and has allowed me to cross-reference other models for parts compatibility if my particular vehicle isn't on site. It can be a crap shoot for certain parts(especially engine-related) but the website is detailed enough to list the dates the vehicles arrived on lot. Of course newer arrivals are more likely to have more of their parts and are less likely to have been damaged by some inept mechanic. Bring the tools you think you'll need and a buck(VIP members) or two(everyone else) to get in. The VIP thing is new to me. Seems like a decent deal(free to sign up). In addition to half-priced admission your purchases are stored online and they supposedly enter you in a store credit raffle. This particular location has a burger/hot dog cart and fruit stand just outside of it just so you know. I haven't tried it yet , though. read more

After a long week of getting beat down from work and friends alike there is nothing quite like Pull-A-Part in Atlanta. I love this place and it is absolute therapy for me. I do own an older vintage project auto that I enjoy working on when I have time and am in town. It's great to pack up a few of your wrenches, a Leatherman, and a screwdriver and scavenge through the vast array of salvaged automobiles. It cost $1 to enter and they will check your tool and bag(s) that you are bringing into the scrap facility. For such a small allotment of property it's well organised and easy to find exactly what you are trying to find. As a matter of fact it's absolutely up to you in what you find. All of the cars and trucks are brought into the yard and elevated upon what looks like their own wheel sets. With your entrance fee, maps available at the front desk or on line, this entitles you to enter and take items off of the junk and then pay a flat fee for them upon leaving. I recently got a bumper valued at $800 from my car's dealership for $16!!!!!!! WITH the admission fee a savings of $783!!!!! I have been here so many times I have forgotten and enjoy it every time. Don't be surprised what you may find when prying open random glove boxes and trunks. read more

Don't do business with Pull-A-Part! Very unprofessional and unorganized. I called to get a quote on a car I had that didn't work. They gave me a quote over the phone and via email to confirm. I loved the price they were offering! I called as soon as they opened to get a tow the same day. They told me since I called before 11 am that someone would come buy the car, give a bill of sale, switch the title, and tow the same day. They told me the driver would call me before they came. Sat around all day and NOBODY showed up or called! I called around 12 to get an eta, and they said the driver wasn't picking up. They told me to give it a few hours, which I did. Then around 2:30 pm I called to check again, same response from them. Called at 4:30 and they said they can't come out because the driver didn't answer. They were NOT going to call and let me know if I didn't keep checking. They told me they can get me on the schedule tomorrow but I just told them never mind, because they are not trustworthy. I understand things come up, but they made my day an inconvenience! I cancelled my plans to sit around and for them not to even communicate with me nor show up! I could have had my car towed to them or some other place and got everything handled myself. Please don't waste your time with them! Horrible business! Management is very incompetent too and act as if they don't know anything! I wouldn't send my worse enemy to them! read more

Pull a part South in Conley Georgia is not only part of what I consider to be the best national chain of junkyard's, I also believe it to be the best of the three Pullaparts located here in Atlanta. There are a wide variety of cars, as well as a large proportion of them still intact. This place will always be for me not only a reliable place to purchase quality used parts, but also a place I go to relax and enjoy myself while increasing my knowledge of cars. I also want to thank Pullapart and specifically Aldo, the GM, for helping me when I couldn't afford the core charge for my engine. Horrible service! Found this shop on Yelp when I searched "Auto Salvage", and when I tried to call to ask whether they take parts of cars they said "No"? So frustrated because the person talked to me seemed didn't have any patient in talking to me and hang up the phone right after I said "Ok, thanks!". It's so RUDE ! read more

Terrible customer service and really rude employees. Obviously, these people do not like making money. After we got the transmission we needed out of the truck and ready to purchase the item, the men working told us we couldn't purchase the transmission because they close at 5:30 and we were finished at 6:00. Last time I checked, they closed at 6. It took us 2 hours to take the transmission out of the truck. Very disappointed with this company. Will not be going back. I would rather pay a little more at another company for decent customer service. read more

Their website and on-site computer system stated they had a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. Paid the admission fee only to find out it was a 1997 Jeep GRAND Cherokee. Obviously the person labeling made a mistake or doesn't know cars well enough to understand the difference. Since I came specifically for a vehicle they supposedly had but didn't, I asked for a refund of the admission fee which they wouldn't provide. The manager explained that the computer doesn't know the difference between a Cherokee and a Grand Cherokee despite me showing him that the computer does show different options for both as does their website. He said that's just how it goes sometimes and he doesn't have any control over how the cars are labeled or entered into the computer system. For as large of a company as there are, I find it hard to believe that this is the stance they take when people drive from all over the state to come here for parts. It's a shame no one takes pride in their work or stands behind their products. read more
