I hadn't gotten a case for the IPad so he walked back to Best But with me to help find the right one. No go, so when he got home he researched it for me and sent me a recommendation online that was incredibly inexpensive!! I felt he earned every dollar of his very reasonable charge. Within one hour, he diagnosed that the problem was software related. He "cleaned-up" our system, removed old unused software and applications, and added an application that monitored our temperature and fan speed. It was truly successful and Kevin indicated that we can easily get another five years our of our 2019 laptop. We originally thought that it was a plug vent or broken fan, but rather Keven explained that too much unused software and applications can cause this overheating. We definitely will call Dr. Mac when we have Mac computer problems. He was reasonably priced and we are truly satisfied as you can tell from this review.

The problem with my computer was that it was making this grinding noise precisely where the CPU fan was, there was also a small instance of smoke that came out of my computer but it wasn't anything major. However when I received the call for my computer, I was charged for software repair which came up to be $125. Everything was fine and I went ahead and picked it up. Chandler said that there weren't any issues and that he just needed to do some software repair/updates. When I brought it home it wasn't making that grinding noise at all, great, BUT the next day the problem came back, it randomly started making that awful noise again only 4 hours home. I needed in-wall cable running. They said, no problem, and made me an appointment. The night before the appointment their "tech" calls confirming what type of service I needed then says they quoted me the wrong price and he can't work for that. The tech, Alex, says "after I buy the cable I'd have to install it for free." Wow, I had no idea Ethernet cable was $225 for 50 feet! So, this tech person cancels my appointment. A week later, when I take a break from unpacking boxes, I call Hello Tech again and ask what happened to my appointment. Their customer service rep says I cancelled the appointment, which is absolutely NOT TRUE. She books me another appointment and the next morning I get a text message saying I cancelled it. I just called this company again about my appointment for today and they say, I cancelled it. Either this company enjoys gaslighting people, or it is a total scam to get your credit card number then not perform any work. Beware and watch your card for charges.
