I took my laptop here for repair on the 17th of Dec. To put it simply my laptop is still not repaired. This may be a great shop however communication is key. When I walked in I wasn't told it would be almost a month, had I been advised of this I would have gone to a different shop. I understand holidays etc. but I went by the shop twice and the laptop hadn't even been looked at. They don't give refunds only store credit which I don't think I'll need. read more

Jason was a hero for me--and I threw him a curveball with video production equipment that needed an emergency quick repair. It was a video router with a broken circuit board. I had a good feeling about him and his place the moment I called. He had me up and running in less than 24 hours. He was kind, had excellent communication, and worked extra hard to repair the damaged board. The cost of the repair was also very reasonable. They accessed the problem and fixed it in a timely fashion. The cost was, again very reasonable. My laptop had issues, I never received a call that is was ready. I stopped by one day, and picked up only to find it was not repaired. I went back, the employee showed me the fine print on my receipt showing I had acknowledged the computer might not be fixable. - But I wondered why would he repaired, if overall the laptop was a total loss, like replacing a headlight on a destroyed car, so I was kind of feeling the frustration. However, I did speak with the owner and he explained everything to me, also I should add my operating system had failed and the owner repaired that for me at no more costs. Rude service. My computer was not even a year old yet, they kept pushing me to purchase one of their refurbished computers. No calls or update on the repairs on my laptop, ended up going to best Buy geek squad and was able to clear out my computer and have it ready in a couple of hours for a fraction of these bozos wanted. Experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and reasonable! To be totally honest, I ended up here because I was disillusioned by the Geek Squad at BestBuy. My laptop began slowing down and then went into a total boot-loop and wouldn't start or shut off. The GS rep said they'd need it for 10 days, would run a diagnostic, etc., but suggested (due to its age) that I just buy a new laptop - so I bought a new one and left with my broken one under my are. I went into Computer Solutions on a Friday hoping to simply salvage my hard drive thinking this laptop was a total loss since GS said it "probably" was. Then I met Jason. He confidently took my laptop and asked me to wait two days. He worked his magic over the weekend and fixed my computer, saved all my information, and returned it to me as good as new on Monday. I was so happy and pleased with the timing and eager to use my computer for a presentation the following day. Then disaster struck - I mistakenly installed and old operating system and erased EVERYTHING! I walked back into Computer Solutions the next day teary-eyed and distraught. Jason took back my computer and informed me he maintains a back-up a few days in the event something like this happens. You can imagine my relief!!! It took several days for this fix since I'd taken the computer back to its original state and lost 10 years of updates. Jason persisted in installing all the updates and giving me back all the information I thought was lost. I'm happily typing on my fixed laptop for this review. It is faster then ever. As for the new laptop, I took it back and took a $1000 off my charge card. These guys really know their stuff. If you are having computer problems, don't waste your time anywhere else. I have been using Computer Solutions for about 3 yrs now, and every time I need any kind of computer repairs I can count on them to fix my computer at a great price. I have used them to add new operating system on my old computer, and clean out a virus it was always done quickly ...then when that finally fizzed out cause it was really an old computer, it was time for a new system so I purchased a refurbished computer at a great price since it was not something I planned to do that week, never the less they were able to get me up and running in a few days and at a great price. Everyone there is friendly and gives great customer service. This is my computer place always. read more

Never again. I took my phone in for replacement of the front due to a cracked screen and the front was replaced with a part that did not work. After I picked it up I noticed the top section of the screen would not respond, the icons would not open. The phone was returned the very next morning. The supposed repair took forever and I demanded my phone and it was handed to me in pieces after a week and a half of waiting. No one touched it after I returned it, except to take it apart. My phone was repaired successfully at a different repair store and I was given the part supplied by this store. There was obvious water damage to the part used. The owner replied to my google review that I would not agree to a diagnostic. I was never offered a diagnostic, and the phone icons worked fine, even with the cracked screen before they replaced it. The proof was in the fact that the part placed on my phone did not work. They refused to refund my money for the defective part so I filed a claim with my bank and my money was refunded so they obviously agreed that the work done was not as promised. read more

I know that every situation is different, but my personal experience was that the owner and his team came up with a cost effective, creative solution, they involved me and did a great job of follow up and setting expectations. read more

I took my computer to this place to simply repair my the power port. Not only did it take 2 weeks to complete after calling each day and insisting they check on the waiting part come to find out was lost. They charged me more than the stated original price and the computer was returned totally messed up. I called several times to discuss and nobody would return my call. read more

Spilled coffee on my Macbook, and after a trip to a Mac authorized repair store where they told me I needed to buy a new computer, I took it to these guys for a second opinion. For a VERY reasonable diagnostic price fee took my computer apart, cleaned out all the coffee they could, and now I'm writing this review on the same computer. I am writing this review due to the unprofessional service I have received from this store. To start, I took my computer here to Computer Solutions because I like supporting small businesses and would say that my experience at this store has made me think twice. First I brought a computer in there for a diagnostic, for Jason to say that the computer would cost more than it's worth, and that his recommendation was to buy a used machine from them. So I was drawn back about the idea, but since he knew better than I did, I did it. I bought their 12", slower than molasses, 6 year old Sony Vio laptop, and immediately had problems, and still do I had to bring it back several times, one time being that they had to re-install the operating system on it. After 30 days, they do not warranty it anymore. Clever company. My battery will not hold a charge now, and the screen is much too small to view easily. I had to buy a fan to set it on because it ran so hot. I was told that was normal when I inquired about it. I traded in a one and a half year old 17" quad processor XP that I would've been much better off keeping and getting repaired. I only got $10 credit towards my purchase. I had paid them around $120.00 to clean it up only weeks before. Bad move on my part for not knowing better. I don't have the choice to get it back because it was already taken apart, and I'm sure a pretty penny was made off of it after it was fixed, or the parts reused. I referred a friend to them, and was a repeat customer. I like to think that customer loyalty and appreciation means something. Here it obviously doesn't! Now I keep worrying about shysters having my credit card info and address, The last topic of this horrific nightmare was that my computer started to run slowly once again, so I had a technician come in and attempt to fix it. I was informed that the Windows 7 operating system was not genuine. It was a pirated copy.The proof was shown that when you turn the computer around to find the certificate of authenticity of window's the certificate was XP. I checked my receipt hoping that it wasn't true, and it does not show what operating system you purchased with this machine, If you have purchased a machine from this store, please beware of this incident. There was no option for zero stars, so had to give them one for the review to go through. They did not earn it! read more
