Robin has done IT work for me in the past, getting my old Toshiba laptop upgraded. He's reasonable and reliable.

Have tried other computer repair places before - Robin and his crew are the best. He fixed computers I bought for my office from someone else previously that were set up incorrectly and we didn't know it. He also improved our network settings. I hired Robin to install 18 security cameras at a commercial property I own. He was recommended to me by a friend. Three years later I am going to have to completely redo what he did. Hopefully most of the cameras are salvageable, but because of the way they are installed, several are rusting out and I've already replaced a couple. He left a part, which comes with the camera, off, which is resulting in rust and camera failure. He ran the wiring outside the building, rather than inside, despite my managers concerns. He used the wrong equipment , which now has to be replaced, and wired it in such a way that it's a fire hazard. The wiring hangs down, which he told my manager is normal-it's not. In some cases he used interior wire on the exterior of the building. It's going to cost a small fortune to fix the system. I can't speak for his computer abilities, but I strongly urge you NOT to hire him for security cameras! read more

I had a Dell Vista computer that had viruses and was lagging. I took it here and they told me the whole computer was fried. They charged me $320 (more than I paid for the old computer). What I got in return was an e-machine XP computer with all the same problems and they lost about a third of my data. Now everything lags, even the screen saver!! I can't watch Youtube, because the computer freezes. This is the worst computer I have ever used. Worse than what I brought to them. This may not be everyone's experience, but they totally RIPPED ME OFF!!!!!! read more

I have a 10 year old with Asperger's Syndrome and we bought him a laptop so that he could play minecraft on. That was a few years ago, we took it in the have the registry clean up and the to do a virus scan. After a few days they called and said I found a huge virus on, I mean your hard drive is bad and for $280.00 we can replace it ($42.00 at Amazon). After getting the laptop back today, it now won't even boot up, like they F disked it! Wasn't like that before. The kicker is they will sell us back our pictures and stuff for $125.00. Computer repair places may be hit or miss, but I guarantee you should miss this one. I went to this guy several years ago and I guess you could say, "He saw me coming"! He kept asking me if I had dropped the laptop and I kept saying I had not. He asked this repeatedly. From the day I had bought it and took it home, it never even left the table I used it on until the day I took it to his shop. Even then I put it in a foam sleeve and then into a padded computer satchel for transport. He was supposed to call me to tell me what was wrong with it, but when I next heard from him he said it was ready for pickup. (He had it for over a week after I took it to him!) When I asked why he hadn't called me before he made the repair he asked, "Do you want it or not?", then he hung up on me! He charged me $125 for the diagnostic testing! He replaced the hard drive and when I asked for the old one he said he had thrown it away. He charged me almost another $125 for the hard drive, plus labor costs. He was rude and quite nasty with me and to make matters worse, after I got the laptop home it died less than two weeks later. When I called to tell him that it died again he wanted me to bring it back for another diagnostic, etc. He said there was no repair guarantee. Then he the nerve to ask me if I had dropped it again! As far as I am concerned, this guy will NEVER touch any of my electronics again! read more
