This is certainly who you want to call if you need help with anything Apple. I used Steve Bush's services a long time ago when he was the owner of Screwbox. I followed him to two different locations when he owned that business. Since then he has made his living helping i.e. customer service with Apple/Mac problems. He knows how to deal with most issues and if he doesn't he will let you know what to do. If you need your computer for work you know you would probably pay any price for the help but Steve is way less expensive than say, the Apple Store and is more convenient. I don't write reviews often because I feel bad for giving anything less than 5 stars. But Steve really deserve 5 stars. On Wednesday at around 1pm, I found out that my Macbook Pro screen had shattered. Within 10 minutes, I was able to call Screwbox and Steve gave me a reasonable quote and told me he could fix it by Thursday, or by the latest, Friday, if I brought it to him in an hour. My schedule for Thursday was busy, so I told him it was okay if he didn't fix it by the next day. Before 12pm on Friday, Steve called me to tell me that my Macbook was fixed. I'm so grateful that he was able to fix my laptop and get it back to me within a 48 hour timeframe and for a reasonable price. If you're a person who is short on time, I highly recommend him. When a small amount of liquid got into our classic MacBook through a cracked corner, the Apple Store wanted $755 to repair it and guessed we'd have it back after a week. After a few rounds of advice, we found our way to Screwbox, where Steve replaced the MagSafe port for $99, including parts and labor, and the only reason he didn't do it the same day was that he overnighted the part. Less than 24 hours later, we had our laptop back in great condition -- and he even used some spare RAM to upgrade it from 2GB of memory to 4GB for free. Not only did Steve fix my MacBook in an hour, but he did it for half the price of Apple Retail! He also fixed my keyboard for no charge (it was missing a key), which was a nice little bonus. Completely satisfied with my experience here! Steve is a genius and genuinely cares about his customers and their products. He, unlike many chain retail electronic stores, knows that ones LIFE is solely located on his/her laptop. He recognizes the frantic nature his customers are in and calmly says "let's take a look at it!" I had a massive amount of champagne dropped on my MacBook Pro at a gig I was DJing and was not able to take it in as quickly as I had hoped. My friend did this chore for me, which I am grateful for! He took a look at it and said, yeah we can fix this. He replaced the keyboard and power switch and had it ready within 1 day. Unlike the other store(which will remain nameless, but their logo may or may not be a fruit with a bite out of it). I went to retrieve my computer and Steve not only told me all he did, he showed me what he did. He opened up my computer, showed me where the damage was and told me what he did to fix it. He also suggested that I upgrade my RAM, to make it faster, since the bill was paid in advance and it cost less than the estimate. So he suggested, use the extra money for the new RAM. I went to Screwbox based on reviews and word of mouth. I was not disappointed. Steve's stellar reputation precedes him. I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro that's been acting slow and sluggish lately. Assuming it was old and I just had a lot of junk on it so I didn't give it much thought. On Saturday (09/12/2015), I was trying to work from home and the slowness of the computer was seriously annoying me. I went into Disk Utility and tried to figure out what was going on. I got an error that something was wrong with my hard drive. I called Screwbox without even checking their hours of operation only to realize they were closed. About an hour later I got a text from the same number. "Screwbox will be open from 3-7 today. Is there something I can help you with? -Steve" After giving a description of my issue, Steve asked if I could come in. To me I had already received amazing customer service and I hadn't even walked in the door yet. When I got there Steve was working with another customer but he was being very time efficient so he assisted me at the same time. I went in knowing I needed a new hard drive and I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was more affordable than I was expecting. I was in and out in no time with a promise that my computer would be ready the following day. The next day (09/13/2015) when we spoke I asked if I could bring in my 2009 iMac because it was so slow I had stopped trying to use it. As I was pulling up Steve came outside to assist me with my iMac. When I came in, he was in the process of trying to salvage the data on my dead drive. I was pleasantly surprised that he was attempting to recover my data but thankfully I had thought ahead and backed up all my pertinent files so I was able to tell him not waste time trying to recover the information. In diagnosing my iMac the preinstalled hard drive was smaller than the one that came preinstalled in my Pro and the iMac didn't have enough RAM to support the current OS I was running on it. Once again, the cost for upgrading was less expensive than I anticipated. He told me my computer would be ready for pick up on (09/15/2015). On Monday (09/14/2015) I got a call from Steve that my iMac was ready to be picked up, a day early! He graciously carried the computer out to my car for me without even being asked to do so. Having had a previous experience with an inferior competitor, I can say that Screwbox is hands down the best place to take your Apple products for repair. I don't know many people that would willingly come into work on their days off to help a customer in need. Now my computers are both running beautifully and for about a third of the amount it would have taken to replace one of them! read more

All I can say is 'unbelievable.' Steve quickly diagnosed and repaired my hard-drive, added more memory and (this is the unbelievable part) ... recovered 4,000 pictures off an unreadable SD card!!! I'd spent 5 weeks hiking through Scotland, Outer Hebrides and Isle of Skye then hiked coast-to-coast in England and before I took my pictures off the card, I drove 7,400 miles around the US. When I went to transfer the pictures to my computer, the SD card failed and couldn't even be read. Steve was able to do what he does and recover all my pictures ... in less than 24 hours!!
