But you were never part of my Computer Annex experience. You were there BUT NOT INVOLVED when I paid the REAL MANAGER over a thousand dollars. You were there BUT NOT INVOLVED when the system failed and I brought it back a day later. And you were there BUT NOT INVOLVED when the REAL MANAGER told me there was nothing that he or Computer Annex could do to help me, and wished me good luck. So, my question to you is, why are you here now and commenting on my review and the reviews of others? Computer Annex already got my money (for nothing), so what? Now you want the money and you want to save your reputation? Do not insult my Yelp review by trying to substitute my Computer Annex experience with your false advertising claims. I've seen your method of fast talk and damage control in other Yelp member reviews. That does not work here sir. You remind me of an old uncle I once had. He was a fast talker too. You know what finally made him stop? One day he was talking so fast that his denture popped out. He was so embarrassed, he had to excuse himself from dinner. When I first set out to write this review I had the real manager (or owner) in mind, (the African fellow named, Bede). But instead I want to focus on you, Jesus. He's guilty of cheating me out of my money. I'm within my right to say that as he didn't earned it because the computer never worked. But you're just as terrible as he is. You're guilty of helping him cover it up. That is why you are here on Yelp right? Your friend breaks into a store after they close, but calls you after he realizes he left fingerprints at the crime scene. Do you and Bede think this sham little organization you're running is legit simply because you have a system? 1) Get the money. 2) Lock the doors and close the curtains. 3) Deal with whatever consequences later (i.e. run interference and wrangle any negative reviews you see on Yelp or any other public forum). DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES, I went to go buy a laptop cause they advertise that they have the cheapest prices and blah blah in Craigslist. They'll give ANYONE credit. They get access to your bank account and will have their third party company charge you even when you don't want them to. Not to mention it's a lease program they offer that after 3 months with turn a 500$ cash price to a 1200$ due to the interest rate. If you for some reason do not want the laptop they tell you that they will give you 7 days to return but even if you do try they'll give you the run around and won't even bother to try helping you the company they're associated with are just as dirty and the third party company will still charge you. Not to mention they sold me a "great gaming" laptop but couldn't even play a simple game on the lowest settings and when I confronted them about this problem they basically told me "you're screwed cause there is nothing we can do" then I told them that if there was a better laptop and they tried throwing a 1000$ POS laptop to me that can be found online for 500$. They told me they will call me the day after i went to tell me they will be ordering a new laptop for my specifications, guess what that was about a week ago. so I'm stuck with a crappy laptop doing payments on it.... Not to mention the 600$ laptop I got from them was 300$ online and wasn't even the same specs that i was told it was. Please people do not give these thugs your business. Put them out of it so they no longer rip off people! There is so many other small stores that are better than this one. I mean look at its location...HOLT and mountain. You know it's going to be bad. Listen people I'm not from another company, Im just a regular person who got bent over and taken advantage of by these "people" and trying to look out for you all before you get screwed over as well. So i think its obvious to anyone thats ever actually gone to this place that its a ripoff operation meant to take advantage of those with little knowledge and not much money to spend. Here are some things you should know. 1. It may be obvious to some, but all of their product is used and refurbished. Not from the factory either, its just whoever they happen to have working back their. (you may notice the constantly rotating cast of workers - theres a reason for that). 2. The cost of their services is a rip off and not even standard. It's primarily based on whatever bills the owner Bede has to pay. They do have a list of standard prices, which are high, but not ridiculous, but if you have to get anything replaced or fixed you're paying literally more than 2x the markup. - again, literally. They go in the back, order the replacement part on ebay and charge you double whatever the asking price is. Then, again, based on however the owner Bede is doing with financial pressures, they determine the labor cost. - I personally witnessed the owner bank on a customers ignorance and try to charge him $165 to replace a CMOS battery. 3. The owner Bede is...well, i'll let you guys have your own experience on this one. Get into a disagreement with him regarding even the most minor of things, and see his true colors. He goes from respectable local business owner to stereotype at the drop of a dime. - he's got several lawsuits against him - ask him employees about him if you get the chance - ask him details about the things he offers - see what happens. I think its important to look at these reviews for their content. Notice the negative reviews are very pointed with specific, repeating issues while the positive reviews dont actually say much at all and only seem to be positive because they werent disasters. I'm going to review this yelp and edit or add as necessary and provide links and documentation for specifics because honestly this guy is garbage and taking advantage of people and doesnt need to be in business. . DEAR YELP!! Thank you for giving customers a space to share their concerns! My concern is with YELP! -- not with the Computer Annex USA. I have NEVER had a complaint about the computers or equipment at Computer Annex USA -- and I have purchased SEVERAL units from this store.. NOT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT ABOUT SERVICE. The quality of the products were very good-- name-brand stuff like APPLE, SONY, HP, DELL and ACER. I have spent thousands of dollars on these fine products -- and NEVER had a single issue. So when I see some of the non-positive comments of others, it makes me wonder what the REAL issue is (with THEM) because the products are GREAT and the BRAND NAMES are top-of-the-market! They sell USED as well as NEW -- and also REFURBISHED machines and also BUILD CUSTOM-ORDER machines as well. Naturally a refurbished or used machine may not be expected to perform the same as a BRAND-NEW OUT-OF-THE-BOX machine. But YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ! Some people still want a NEW Cadillac for a used-car price. Sorry but like it or not, that isn't realistic! If you want the best, you will have to pay for it-- and stop crying if you bought a cheap machine and it didn't do what you expected. Buy a NEW one~!! But MY complaint is-- that THIS is the SECOND TIME in less than a WEEK that I have written a POSITIVE REVIEW of my experience with this company --- AND IT WAS DELETED!! For the Lady that wrote down that she got asked out by the Manager all i can say is that I helped her that day with her Computer purchased. I did her invoice, and the Manager wasn't even having a conversation with her (it was with her friend that they were having a conversation with.) Moreover, her computer had 90 days warranty and clearly stated by me and the invoice received that the software wasn't included in the warranty that means if she got Viruses or any attempt to change settings on the software the warranty doesn't cover it. After, when she took the computer her and her friend were talking to My Manager about going to Listen to Jazz and that was it. I never heard him speak to her alone. Moreover, when the husband brought back the computer to get fix the computer had a fake copy of Windows Vista with Virus. Clearly that Is not cover under the warranty. The husband got mad and was cussing at the Technician saying profanity and threatening him. Not the proper way to treat someone. Here at Computer Annex we do Honor your warranty, but as everything it has exceptions. It's clearly stated that Software is not cover under warranty. We install an OEM (original version) of Windows. We are not responsible for Viruses or any change done to the system. Please, don't get fooled by people that just because we don't do what they want they start writing bad comments (unfortunately it's always easier to write down a bad comment than a good one). I've been passing by Computer Annex for some 14 years and never bothered to stop by, yet had always been curious; so, finally, one day, I stop in. I was pleased with their inventory and quite liked their prices; moreover, I liked their Customer Service, so I've bought from them more than once and will be back to buy more. As for the staff: Mr. Bead was very polite and helpful. While he's professional, he is just as much a "regular guy" and friendly to boot; and Mrs. "Bead" (i.e. Demetria) always has a very pleasant and disarming disposition -- and she smiles. Their support personnel: the 'in-the-know' Mr. Jesus and the gentlemen who does the tech work (whose name escapes me now) are equally congenial and extend themselves to provide and ensure customer satisfaction. I have been a costumer at Computer Annex USA for eight (8) years. I purchased a computer with all the software and hardware. Since the first time I visited Computer Annex USA the staff have always been very helpful and professional. I have shopped around and I have found their prices to be very competitive. I have been a returning customer and I have purchased other computer accessories and a photo shot camera. I have also taken my computer back for software updates and repair and they have always been very attentive and taken care of all my computer issues. If you need professional assistance and sincere, experienced, and knowledgeable people I highly recommend Computer Annex USA. went with my family ages ago & we were ignored while the owner was in his office laughing and carry on on the phone instead of coming out to tend to us. We only went there because it was closer than Fry's in City of Industry. . I can't write a review about the items there because we were turned off by the bad customer service from the owner who knew we were there & still yelled to someone else to come to the front and continued laughing loudly with a call that had to be personal!!! As a matter of fact, this computer is about the best one ever, you do have to know your stuff in order to keep your own computer alive...but I m sure you all know that already. :) The store owner, Bede, is one hell of a gentlemen, a friendly guy who is very knowledgeable in tech! I have lived in Ontario for years and always passed by Computer Annex. However, when my laptop broke I needed somewhere quick and affordable to fix it seeing as how I'm a college student and all. All I can say is wish I had of gone sooner! I walked in and they had everything! nice family owned business, one on one customer service, and absolutely no sales person following you around and pressuring you to buy the most expensive thing zone! Very informative and answered all my questions! I walked out with a tv, a new laptop, and my old laptop fixed and ready to go! Real inexpensive, I will be back! I want to the store in December looking to buy my wife a MacBook Pro that was within our budget Mr. Beade showed me the models he had available and the financing that was also available I did not purchase at that time but I went back in with my wife several months later the inventory had expanded and my wife found exactly what she was looking for she was very satisfied with her purchase the additional items he supplied were very welcomed! Friendly customer service however same day went we mentioned the price as shown on Craigslist AD & did not Match what paid for. We showed the Ad/Special we seen that was posted same day for same exact phone but $200 less. However they Did not honor the price/special as shown online. Almost like you see the special price online and when you go in person it's a TOTAL different story. Wish they would honored the special as shown on Craigslist the same day we made online. I bought a MacBook for a phenomenal price and I couldn't be happier. The owner, Beade, took time to explain every feature and every option. He never tried to sell us more than we needed. I initially saw this business advertised on Alan Mendelson's Best Buy a few years ago. I went there and got a great deal on a laptop. I needed a second computer for my daughter so I just returned to purchase another. Fernando was great and very knowledgeable, as were the owner's son and daughter. They have new and refurbished computers; many more than I found at local retail stores, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I saw negative reviews and I don't know what they're talking about. I came here with no money and just to check out some computers. i applied for credit and i got approved and was able to take home an iMac that i was interested in and they even gave me a discount. I thought it was cool that there was no money down and got to take home a mac just like that. The next day i came back to get an rams upgrade on the mac to make it faster and they gave me more then 50% discount on it and they installed it for free. You can't get that anywhere else. The customer service here is great. I don't know what this rant is from that other guy, but I had a great experience. In fact I don't think I'll buy my electronics anywhere else. Not only are the items cheaper but they back them up I.E. if it they fix it for free. I also like the level of honesty the guy could of ripped my off. By causing her to spend money she didn't on a new phone. Which she went on doing. But instead fixed it for what 30 bucks, can't remember.
