    Tacos Al Pastor!
    Michael C.

Would always drive past this stand. Always assumed it was cash only although, they do accept wire transfers through Zelle. Finally stopped by last week (Friday). The Al Pastor tacos are bomb!!! So good, I went back on Sunday. The Asada are good too. Tried an Asada burrito and it was delicious! It's Tuesday night and I just came back with food from here. Definitely our new favorite taco spot (Wifey & I). I just might pay them a visit tomorrow since they do $1 Al Pastor Tacos every Wednesday!!!!

Tried Taqueria Los Gueros recently and this definitely feels like one of those spots that just…read morekeeps it simple and does everything well.Started with the birria taco and consome which set the tone right away -- flavorful, juicy, and perfect dipped. The birria ramen was probably the most fun thing we ordered and actually worked way better than expected without feeling gimmicky. The burrito birria was loaded and super satisfying, and the mulitas with asada had really good crispy texture and flavor. Also tried the cabeza nachos which ended up being one of the sleeper hits of the meal.Overall portions were solid, food came out fast, and this feels like an easy spot to come back to when the birria craving hits.

I went on a taco run yesterday to try to find the best taco in Whittier…read more Started off the run with a keto taco mixed with asada and al pastor and then a regular tripa taco. Keto taco - toasted/grilled cheese instead of a regular tortilla - needed to be done a little more on one side as the cheese wasn't quite toasty enough to stay in place to slightly resemble the shape of a taco. Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.
