Cancer. The diagnosis is one no one wants. The entire journey from diagnosis to treatment choices is no easy journey by any means and finding providers with friendly employees and facilities that offer a wide variety of services is crucial to your physical, mental and emotional health. The Cancer Center at Community North is one place that I was surprised by and truly pleased with. I am far from impressed with the health care system in America so I felt it was very important to provide a review. From the moment we walked in, my family was treated with exceptional care from each and every employee we came in contact with. From the first employees at check in who gave us a overview of information of care to even providing us with financial assistance information at the front desk we felt a sense of genuine caring. Finally someone understands that the journey is not simple nor inexpensive and they offer you help up front instead of shocking you with medical expenses that you probably will not be financially prepared for unless you have medical emergency funds saved up for catastrophic health issues. Once we check in and knew where to go next, we met awesome nurses, care coordinators and doctors that did not rush us with helping us to understand all of the treatment options available and who encouraged us to take a few moments to think about what was best for our family. Even at check out we were not just directed on how to figure out how to get to check out. Our care coordinator escorted us to the check out and encouraged us to contact her at anytime with any questions, reaching our doctors, setting appointments, etc. If every medical facility ran as great as the Cancer Center, I guarantee the health care system would be so much better for everyone. They are a shining example of what other health care facilities and health care employees should be striving to be like!

It reminds me of an indoor mini mall, because there is seating in the middle, with offices all around. Me, personally? I've been here to visit the Quest Diagnostics for blood draws, visited the walk-in breast screening services for my yearly mammogram, had an X-ray done for abdominal woes, and brought my children to visit the urgent care. There are also endocrinologists here, OB/GYN care, physical therapists and other physicians and services. The waiting room is big and open, and it's always been very peaceful and calm whenever I have visited. I don't enjoy visiting any kind of doctor at any time, but whenever I visit a doctor or get a procedure done here, it's always been a good experience.

He does a wonderful job examining his patients and gives a fair and healthy assessment of the patient's health conditions and concerns. Steven, the nurse practitioner, also does an excellent job listening to the patient's concerns and providing the best possible care that is needed for the patient. Community Health Network Fishers is my #1 choice for my doctor and health care needs, and highly recommend Dr. Phelps to anyone who is looking for a primary doctor. I was provided with a list of "recommended" vaccines, which I declined (because of my prior experience), but was then told that a yellow fever vaccination was required for entry into Senegal. Trusting their expertise, I complied and paid $475 for the vaccine. Initially, I was annoyed by the cost of the vaccine and decided to check for Yelp reviews. The negative reviews prompted me to verify this information from the U.S. State Department website: "Evidence of yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into Senegal for travelers arriving from yellow fever endemic countries." This did not apply to my situation at all and as far as I know the United States is not embroiled in a Yellow Fever epidemic. As a result, I felt completely misled and outrageously overcharged. In addition, I also paid nearly $200 for malaria pills, which could have been obtained through a prescription from my primary care physician at a much more affordable cost. I will not use this service again. There are better, more affordable options available, including your primary care physician, local pharmacies, and health departments. At the very least, do your own research and due diligence before trusting Passport Health's recommendations and having the contents of your wallet needlessly depleted. I ultimately recognize this experience as another cautionary tale about the importance of consumer education and understanding that doing your own research is a prerequisite, not an afterthought. I forgot that this time, and while I walked away with a valuable lesson, they walked away with my valuable money.

This nurse working the early morning of November 4th 2024 needs to be stripped of her license. If she can treat me like a prisoner she do the same to a baby or the elderly. My lawyers will find out who this nurse is. She messed up forensic science to point that the police could do nothing for me once I got home. The "nurse" had my teeth brushed 2 times while I had a tube in my throat but didn't ask me before she tortured me if I had a husband or even children that needed to know my whereabouts.

It has its own cafe, but if you want to eat warm food. You will need to walk over to Community Hospital North to their cafteria. My big brother had been seeing Dr Jon Janson, who is a general surgeon for about 6 months now. We finally decided to do surgery to remove a large mass. This is in addition to removal of his spleen. This was a nerve wrecking and daunting experience . As someone working in the number one trauma center in California. I researched and consulted with two hospitals and several specialists before allowing my brother to complete this surgery. As the over protective sister, I came from California to ensure the surgery and recovering was done to my satisfaction. We are so lucky to have met Dr Janson. He was extremely capable, compassionate, skillful, professional and is a great communicator. He not ony made me comfortable in allowing him to cut my brother, but he was empathic toward my ever long list of questions. He was confident in his skills and it made us all more comfortable. The surgery was done on the first floor. You will check in at the front desk. They will provide a pager,which the famiy member will keep. The pager will allow hospital staff to reach you. It will remain with you until the surgery is over. Once the surgery is done, you are paged again. They will put you in a room, which Dr Janson, took time to explain surgery procedure and outcome. He also provided pictures of the mass he removed. He also educated me about my brother's recovery needs. Later on, my brother was moved to the second floor to be observed overnight. The nursing staff were extremely caring, helpful and sweet toward myself and my brother. I really appreciated the exceptional care my brother received from the surgery center. Special shout out to nursing staff: Michelle, Lisa, Alison and Nancy Dr Janson not only checked on my brother about 2-3 hours after the surgerey. He came early the next morning to check his wounds again. He provided their 24/hour line to call upon discharge. Talk about awesome customer service. I did actually called few days later with some questions, ex : my brother symptons, pain and fever. I was lucky enough to received a call back from Dr Vincent Delumpa. He was more than professional and reassuring. He was also the other awesome surgeon in the operating room for my brother. I just want to take the time to thank everyone at the Surgery center for a job well done. Thank you for keeping my brother safe and well taken care of.
