Only giving 1 star because of Claudia as the receptionist. She's very courteous and has actual human sympathy otherwise it would have been negative 0. After waiting for more than 3 hours to be seen by a supposed medical professional, I was approached by a lady PA-C Ashima something. I strongly believe her values and purpose of taking up the helm of a physician assistant is severely misaligned. She lacks empathy and bed side manner despite this being a clinic/urgent care, you still have to look at patients/clients/customers coming here as patients with concerns. Just because this is a business doesn't mean you'll treat other humans without dignity and respect. This PA-C definitely lacks those dignity/respect and probably should reconsider being a PA. If you took a job that one of their main purpose is to help people, HELP people not maltreat them and just brush them off with your condescending, disrespectful and non caring tone. This place is still around because of the contract it has with other workplace. But outside of that there's really little care what this place gives to the patients/clients/customers that come here. read more

My neighbor asked me if I could recommend an urgent care to take her son to this morning and I told her there were two that I'd been to, one was good and the other okay but quite a bit cheaper. I couldn't remember the address for the cheaper one but could easily look it up for her. Which led to this review. If you haven't guessed Concentra in Industry is the inexpensive one. I noticed the reviews were awful for the most part and I feel bad for this place! I was initially referred there by another urgent care for a vaccine my son needed before entering the 7th grade and the first place was out of what we needed. We went directly over to Concentra upon referral so I never looked at reviews prior to walking in. Since that first visit I have used this place on two other occasions for different reasons. My experience has been consistent each time. The place is not very comfortable, very bare bones, the seats are plastic and hard in the waiting room, no magazines or plants. So waiting does seem amplified in this setting for sure. And we did wait about an hour each time. Also it does appear to be understaffed and the staff they do have seem overworked. However, the place is clean, the employees are actually very nice and helpful. They aren't effusive and shouldn't be judged on the first impression, if you can forgive that you will be pleasantly surprised. The doctor was great and they got us out of there within 15 minutes afterwards. Finally, they have the best prices I've ever seen for an urgent care! If you're paying out of pocket and cost is a concern then I would recommend this place, and I did this morning to someone who lives right next to me. read more

Overall, I had a rough, frustrating experience here today. I had an appointment at 4:30 pm for a straight forward follow up that had been booked a week in advance. Over two hours later at about 6:40 pm, I finally saw the doctor. The poor man looked exhausted and spent less than 5 minutes with me. I didn't leave until the clinic 7:00 pm. I could understand a long wait at an urgent care center had I been a walk-in, but what I don't understand is how the wait could have been so long considering I'd had an appointment. What's the point of scheduling one at a certain time if that time is going to be completely disrespected? One of the staff explained to me that Concentra had moved many of this location's normal employees to a different clinic for the day. Understandable maybe, but again, completely disrespectful of my time to not to try offer to reschedule or at least let me know in advance. I had a terrible experience at this place. I got there at 7:10 am for a pre-employment physical. There was only one person waiting that got there before me. After waiting for over 1 hour I got yet more forms to fill out and was told to sit down and wait some more. I waited for a total of 1.5 hours to be seen. After the drug test and physical, I thought I was almost done, but then I had to wait for the doctor in a tiny exam room for an additional 1.5 hours!!!!! Wait times are absurd and there weren't even that many patients!! It was so bad that the staff were walking around the exam rooms passing out snacks and apologizing for the wait. The total length of the actual physical exam was barely 30 min. I waited for over 3 hours for a 30 min exam. Walked in there at 7 and by the time I got out was after 10:30. Unbelievable. The doctor looked so disoriented, like she didn't know what she was doing or where she was going. Checked me for 5 min and walked out without saying goodbye or letting me know the exam was complete. I just waited there thinking she was going to come back in, but 10 min later a staff member walked in and told me "you're done, we'll send it to the company" and left. I found the way out by myself and just walked out. I've done other pre-employment physicals at other places and have never seen this kind of wait times or treatment from doctors and medical staff. Terrible terrible terrible. Keep your damn snacks and provide service on a timely manner. I lost pay for the entire morning because of your incompetence. read more

I came to this urgent care because my child was struggling with his breathing. I hate going to KP because it's so big and their concerns are how many clients can be seen in a day rather then quality of care. So many other members at KP recommend Concentra. I went early in the morning to hope to be seen with my baby. It was early and cold that day. I go inside with my baby who has a fever and is coughing while there. The front desk informed me that they wouldn't be able to see the baby because he was not bad enough and they would only take him if it was an urgent matter. I told her that I didn't mind paying out of pocket and she said that it was not possible for us to be seen because my child had insurance. read more

Had to get a physical done for my new job. Everything was quick and easy until the end. After the NP completed my physical she said the assistants would give me my paperwork that's needed for my job. I was patient after 20 mins went by I popped my head out and asked when I will be getting my paperwork. One of the assistants who is a male, explained that he'll get that too me shortly. Another 20 mins went by and I opened the door, there he was standing in front of the computer. He looks at me and is like "oh yes, let me get that paper for you" .... If it wasn't for me checking on them I would've stayed more than an hour and half just for a piece of paper. Took me almost an hour. Do better! read more

I tried to get more information on how this could have happened when I saw the practitioner seal the hair in the bag with my own eyes but they just gave me the run around and pointed fingers at the lab. I needed to find an urgent care that opened earlier so I came across concentra in a google maps search which opens at 7 am. Of course, I wanted something a bit closer to home too and this was just about 15 min away. Well worth the drive. It wasn't too busy - maybe a lot of people don't know about it yet - I arrived and was immediately greeted very kindly at the front desk. Did the usual forms and identification/insurance and was in and out in an hour. The dr was very kind and had great bedside manner. This place is a bad joke. Stay away from the Concentra on Hurley in the City of Industry if you can. Many people, unfortunately, have to use this facility because it is their employer's workers comp contract. I ended up here because it was a contracted facility with CyrexLabs as a place to get blood taken for a specific blood panel that was to be shipped to Arizona. The joke was on me, when the guy who finally brought me back to take my blood turned out to be the X-RAY technician!! He had no clue what to do with the test kit that Cyrex had provided. He asked me if he was supposed to use both tubes. I asked him if he had a phlebotomist license and he said no. I asked if there was someone there who was trained and certified in venipuncture. He said no, but then said that he would ask the "girl up front." Enter the young woman with 2 1/2 inch fake nails, not wearing gloves, who said she was able to do blood draws. Ha! I let her try once, she couldn't get blood and after digging around for several seconds she gave up. I asked if there was anyone at this facility who could draw blood. I asked if there was a nurse. No. Nope. No one. By the way, this was between 2:55 and 4:55 on a Monday. Sigh. I wasted over 2 hours at this facility with nothing to show for it except for a bruise on my arm, and a ruined lab kit. How can they provide medical care without having people who are educated, experienced, capable and competent? I am quite sure that the medical directors and the Board of Directors of Concentra do not send their family members to their facilities. Stay away. P.S. I called CyrexLab's corporate and filed a complaint about this facility. Cyrex will be sending a mobile phlebotomy lab to my work to do the blood work. read more

My grandmother is dealing with an injury from work and currently filling out her application for disability insurance, we took the forms in first time doctor filled them out wrong, whatever mistakes happen... keep in mind this doctor is in one day a week on Wednesday every other week! We had to wait 2 weeks longer for the doctor to come in and fill out the forms again. After one week of waiting we called and asked what was taking so long, no direct response finally a week later we show up and the lady at the front desk with attitude says "if we haven't called you it's not ready yet" my grandma proceeds to ask and they say "oh well actually the doctor spilled SOME coffee on it" UH OKAY?!? Shows us the form and it's truly EMBARRASSING! One, why is the doctor irresponsible enough to be drinking coffee dealing with important forms they already messed up once and two, when were we going to be informed about this???, had they called us right when it happened we would've rushed over to pick up new forms and take them to concentra to be filled out immediately since the doctor is only there once every 2 weeks but not even a phone call. Like I said we understand mistakes happened but what?!?? if we didn't show up when were we gonna be told anything ?!? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT DONT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS NEEDS! My grandmother hasn't been paid in over 2 months but they don't care because they're still getting their check right and same goes for the doctor! They act like they've been sucking on lemons all day. After I get checked I had this Short Asian doctor.. with the worst attitude I've experienced. He asked me a few questions. He then proceeded to tell me I am over weight based on BMI... I told him it's obvious I weigh more because I lift weights. My biceps are the size of his head. There has to be a different way to determine!!! He says in the most condescending tone- "I'm giving you a three month pass, come back if you can lose weight and just walked out." What an @$$hole!! Unless I was dying, I will NEVER come here again. Even then, I might consider going elsewhere. The total time was 3 hours to get an Xray and have the doctor speak with me for 2 minutes. Their excuse was they needed to confirm with insurance to get the Xray done.. but it took nearly 3 hours?!?! Also note that they didnt even know what they were taking Xrays for as they walked me in at the 2hrs 50min mark. I didn't really know what to expect when I was referred to this facility but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with their attentive and friendly service. I came across some hurdles with paperwork but Claudia stepped right in, took ownership by going above and beyond to take care of everything for me so that I can be seen by the doctor promptly. I told her " you're my angel" Claudia was professional, friendly and punctual in her follow up and communication. She is superb! Once Claudia got all of my paperwork sort out I was seen by the doctor timely and everyone from the receptionist to the technician were friendly and tentative. Concentra City of Industry Physical Thetapy is wonderful. The staff in the PT department deserves to be acknowledged. Each and every one of the PT therapist are friendly and very efficient. I have learned that a worker's comp issue takes a long time to see it all the way through, but it is worth it in the end. I have not completed my treatment, but for what it's worth I can say I enjoy the therapy as it is baby steps with my se on surgery. The first one was a breeze to heal. All in all I give the PT department 10 stars if I could. read more

Went in this morning ready to do battle for my mom's medical records. I couldn't wait because she is in severe pain and we needed an x-ray from this office to get her referred to an orthopedic specialist. To my absolute surprise, Ms. Claudia Medina took the time to print out ALL of her medical records and she didn't have to do it because there is usually a small waiting period since the office is so busy. The lobby was full people completing pre-employment requirements and injured people. It looked like I was going to be there for a while. I asked one of the medical assistants if they had shorter waiting times later in the day or evening. She said that evenings are slow and may have a shorter weight. I left and returned at 6:00 pm. The lobby only had a handful of people weighting. Desiree checked me in and said they would call me in a few minutes. About 25 minutes later I was called to the back. Gabriel administered the drug screen and I was out before the hour. Both Desiree and Gabriel were very polite and professional. read more
