I went in for a pre-employment physical and drug test for a new employer. They open at 8:00 am and I checked in at 8:06 am with a few people I front of me. I waited 11/2 hours to be seen and then after the assessments and drug test, another 30+minutes to see a doctor. In the end I was there for 2 1/2 hours and probably 15 minutes was not waiting time. This is too long a wait time for those who have jobs. I prioritize efficiency. The place was clean and the staff with whom I interacted was courteous. read more

There is nothing urgent about this urgent care center. Staff is new or untrained. No patient centric anything. They clearly make their money with workers comp cases and drug screenings. I would not use them for urgent care again. They should remove that term from their name and description of their services. Why is this only 2 stars? This location is super clean, the staff is super nice and every time I came here, I had a great experience! I went the Santa Ana one and it was ok however we are lucky to have these people. Olga was so helpful, I thought I had to wait to get my test read and she just read it for me and helped me save what i thought was going to be an hour and half. Then i come in today and another nice receptionist Rebecca was so kind with her customer service. What I thought would take long wow just communicate and be kind, polite and do unto others and maybe smile. It is a hard job I am sure, but they are awesome here! If I could give them no stars I would. Was sent there as a worker comp case. Fell at work, taken to ER for X-rays. X-ray report stated no broken bones. Following day met with doc at this location. I was in excruciating pain. Conveyed that to doc who put me into PT right away. Couldn't do PT as pain was unbearable but therapist and doc thought I was faking. 4 weeks of begging to have mri that the pain was not normal, the doc finally sent me for one. MRI showed wrist broken in 4 places and Elbow broken! Doc never apologized for her misdiagnosis! I wouldn't trust them with a cold!!!! Go somewhere else!!! read more

Dr. Olina Harwer is horrible. Came here for workman's comp back injury and she was very dismissive and cold. I've had 2 visits with her and same cold energy. When I expressed to her that my back pain was persistent after 2 weeks and the PT prescribed next door made me feel worse after each visit... her response, " let's continue with the same treatment". Just callous disregard for my recovery. I don't recommend coming to this particular Concentra because of Dr. Harwer. I've been to two other Concentras in Irvine for urgent care/ workmen's comp and had great experiences at both. read more

Went in for a drug test for a new employer. The front staff was courteous and the doctor that administered the test was quick, almost dismissively so, but as someone who prioritizes speed I appreciated this, though others may not. Unfortunately as I said, I prioritize speed, so very much not recommended. The wait was over an hour. While I'm aware this place is urgent care with other services, my test took 5 minutes at most, so I didn't appreciate how long i had to wait for how fast my test was. I saw other ppl wait a very long time as well. This place seems very inefficient. If you don't mind the wait the place wasn't bad as a place to drug test. Otherwise, recommend your employer to look elsewhere. read more

After over a year was able to have attorney find me a real Dr. ended up needed major spine surgery by the. After she said nothing wrong. This place got me in quickly. Had a broken wrist from a work-related injury. Staff was great. Sometimes had to wait longer than usual, not the staff's fault, can't predict how many people come in at once. Had a great doctor. Dr Mary Bos was great. She got me in quick for surgery. Also, she is incredibly beautiful, I was speechless when I first saw her. Looked forward to my ongoing appointments. Also, looking forward to breaking my other wrist. read more

I recently came here for a DOT physical. Alison greeted me when I came in and she was very nice and professional and gave me paperwork to fill out. You would think that being a clinic you would have a long wait. I will say I was called back just before I finished the last line on my paperwork. Very impressive and appreciated. Alison is just a nice, friendly, professional employee that is great to deal with. Marty called me back and once again he has also been professional and respectful in answering any questions I have and always has made my visit much less stressful which I really appreciate. He's not in a rush or tries to hurry you. Marty has always been kind, caring and professional. I think all the staff here does a great job. read more

Unfortunately, this place is on par with third-world country. I was physically assaulted by one of the Primary Physicians and out of the 6 I've been place with through CorVel Workmans Comp Ins which to say is a chronic horror show would be kind. When doing more research regarding the doctor mentioned above on Google and elsewhere, I was applaud and overwhelmingly furious that this Doctor- NOT! is allowed to be practicing Medicine- NOT. Review after review were shocking in the scale? spectrum? In ways she abuses patients?!?!!! There is NO QUESTION this woman's eyes, nor conscience ever pledged upon the Hippocratic oath. In fact, she demonstrates her contempt for it, for too many of us experienced her causing HARM. -- Physically and emotionally. When I lightly reported the physical abuse ( in front of a nurse) she found out and made certain I'd pay for it by not prescribing very specific care I needed URGENTLY. SEVEN MONTHS! after my serious accident, my fight to change doctors and I received MY FIRST TREATMENT by a type of medical care " she does not believe in." The other 5 doctors through CorVel / Concentra were specialists simply voting on which specific care I needed -- as my injuries, obviously became more acute by the week throughout SEVEN MONTHS??!! One! out of the remaining 5 doctors was outstanding ( Orthopedic Spine Specialist) The others served up "medicine" like your worst fast food restaurant-- plus! the added delight, 90% chance wait being at least 60- 90 min. If the appt is 9:30 am you'll be seen around 11am plus. But hey they have a TV and all People and Golf magazines you could ever desire were either, your cup of tea. I truly wished I'd paid attention to one of the many red-flags waving upon my first visits -- at varying Concentra sights, in every single treatment office is a huge sign stating that: That Concentra is a violence free facility. That not only do they have the wright to refuse patients, the police will be called at the first signs of such?! I light-handedly paraphrased the framed notice -- ( it is very aggressive in tone) why would a medical facility need such a prominent declaration? And, let me be clear, it is 100% one sided, for not the handful of docs I needed to were as aggressive as the physical emotional abuser doctor -- each was either boldly dismissive, after a few minutes of looking at my file ( not Me) stated my case was too complex for what Concentra /CorVel treats for ( Pain Management specialist) that he would be doing me a mis-service by starting treatment ( now, at 4 months no treatment! ) with me for he wasn't in Concentra offices with enough regularity? So, not only a confusing contradiction, he offered his story of non-sense with the all the boredom of animals too long in a low rent zoo. Run! Don't walk! from this place, all of them! In fairness the, 'most' of the support staff are terrific, especially for witnessing what they do. Stockholm Syndrome? Fortunately, even a physical and PTSD mess, I am a quick learner and always brought an advocate/ witness to each appt. One doc, orthopedic hand specialist did her best to suggest that i did NOT HAVE THE WRIGHT to have an advocate?!?! The tragic irony? After receiving moderately up-leveled non-care from my first WC attorney-- all of the others interested right out of the gate that "NO! Qualitative WC law firm allows their clients to remain in the CorVel / Concentra system. I just took the first attorney to contact me. Shame on me, I was in a concussive state along with the rest of the injuries ... each interviewed new WC firm almost verbatim ( gotta laugh or sink!) spoke, well, one summarized the rest, best, CONCENTRA in not the lowest hanging fruit of the WC medical corporations, it is the long spoiled, rotten, decaying, remaining remnants of what once was nutritious friut! " Doesn't that just some it up to a T. Please, I don't write reviews ( though I learned! through this negligent abusive hell- ride-- to READ THEM) and, I would be utterly remiss, if not remorseful if I did not do what I could to SPARE OTHERS. ( especially, as the facts have an abundance of receipts buy uninvolved parties) I wish for all in need the best of treatment. You DO NOT need to remain at Concentra even if you're assigned there originally. God Bless! read more

I have been a worker's comp patient here off and on since the summer of 2020. My past experience was mostly positive with a few exceptions. In keeping it real you should understand that what you will experience here tends to be much more like an HMO than a PPO level of care. This is largely a worker's comp facility and as a result they are flooded with patients. It is not their fault, it is what it is. Understand this going in and you will be a lot more satisfied with the end results. There was a big gap in between, but with changes to my job functions I now need a "medical accommodation" so I must return to a MD here. My company informed me that I could see any MD to get a temporary medical accommodation. I showed up and was thankful to see only 5 people waiting ahead of me. Unfortunately that excitement was short-lived when the receptionist informed me that I had to see the same specialist I saw last time. I gave her all my information and she said she would speak with her manager (or the specialist assistant) and try and get me in to see him the next day. My timing turned out to be possibly lucky since I believe specialists are only in once or twice a month. Later that afternoon I hadn't heard back so I phoned in and reached the manager Norma. I told her that my company will not do anything for me until I see the doctor and I have been standing on concrete all day for the past 5-6 weeks with bad knees. I told her I do not care about the wait, but I really need pain relief sooner than later because as much as I am doing it is not enough. Another obstacle turned out to be an authorization for me to return to their clinic. She stepped up and called my company contact while I was on the phone with her and he took care of it. As a result, I got an appointment for the specialist for the next day and received my medical restrictions letter from him. I am still not out of the woods as obtaining a medical accommodation in a corporation appears to be a long and drawn out process that goes through multiple departments and many humans to finally get the medical accommodation done. But at least the ball is still rolling forward and for that I am grateful to Norma and Concentra. read more

I've been here before for pre-employment screenings so in very much aware of the wait and generally don't have any complaints. When I was told it'd be a 2 hour wait today, I told them I understood and was completely fine, since it is busy. However, a patient who checked in after me for a similar workup told the staff they needed to use the restroom, which was important for their screening. The rep at the front went back, spoke to someone, and then pulled that patient back. He then proceeded to tell me that I would be next. However, when I told him my issue with the fact that I needed to use the restroom too, he said that everyone was there for various reasons. The front rep needs some training on not being condescending and contradicting himself. Yes, we are all there for treatment. But he shouldn't be showing people preferred treatment. read more

The wait time is absurd, 2 & 1/2 hrs to get into the exam room and another 45m to be seen by the Doctor. It took four hours after it was all said and done. All appointments should be available for scheduling. Doctor was nice, but not worth the long wait. I would not recommend this place for anyone in pain who needs care and I will not be returning after the required appointments are completed. The worst clinical experience I have ever had. I have been having intense pain in both my hands and wrist for close to a year now. I was referred here when no one could figure out the root cause. I waited 2.5 hours to see the doctor despite having an appointment at 2:30pm. When I did see Dr. Bos, she was dismissive and not helpful in anyway, shape, or form. I was with her for maybe 5 minutes, and she only pressed on my hand. I was told "nothing was wrong" which is an obvious false because I have been in a significant amount of pain. She didn't even try to figure out any other reason I could be experiencing my pain nor care to listen to what I had to say. My entire time at the office was a little shy of 3 hours and when I expressed my trouble/ worry with this, I was dismissed at every corner. I was told "paperwork takes a long time".... No one apologized or recognized the wait time even though I had a scheduled appointment. I would NEVER recommend this clinic or doctor to anyone. I know for fact I will not be returning to this clinic. read more

They were no help and didn't provide me with any information at all! I wouldn't come here if I had an option! I couldn't get passed how awful the front desk people were to notice anything else! Zero stars. Dr Harwer doesn't even deserve the doctor title. She is rude, condescending, and is halfway out the door when you speak to her. I hurt my back at work and I'm almost 100% positive I herniated a disc - after telling her I have numbness and pain down my leg she finally got an X-ray and than came back in said that my discs do look closer together but it was "genetic," and then sent me off for 2 weeks. Flash forward 2 weeks to today where she finally ordered me an MRI and said she thinks it's a herniated disc but now it's going to take weeks to get an MRI (due to insurance, which I understand) but the fact is she doesn't listen, she doesn't know what she's talking about (I'm a nurse I know when a doctor is a good doctor) and she avoids getting you the help you need. She is unprofessional, and if you have to go here then I formally apologize, just be prepared for all of this. Good luck. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I went in at today, May 18th at 2:30 to follow up on my TB testing that I needed for my new job. The receptionist checked my arm and told me to wait a few minutes to get my results. I wait 45 minutes before asking how much longer. She gives me a dumb look and says, "What are you waiting for? We will send the results to your employer. " She had seen me waiting there and said nothing. She has ombred brown hair with dirty blonde on the bottom. They don't take appointments. Walk ins only. Can take hours for drug screening. The person in front of me was waiting for over 2 hours. When he said he needed to use the restroom they pushed him though to leave his sample. A few minutes later, I said I need to use the restroom and told where it was and was asked if I needed a cup of water. What??? I asked if I could leave my sample and was told no, I needed to wait 45 minutes. I left and hopefully I will use a different drug screen place. I've asked my employer for other options. read more

My husband took my daughter to be seen. They told him her insurance was not in-network. When the Anthem website shows it is in-network. Spoke to the insurance company Anthem and they also confirmed this urgent care was in-network. Whoever is working the front desk needs to get there facts straight and do their due diligence. Organization: constantly texting me Sunday night for a Tuesday 8am appointment, when the doctor was only in 2 Tuesday's of the month. I have a job and would lose it if I continually notified my employer the day before I had to have time off. No ice after PT which is unheard of. From the front desk to the MA and the MD. Whoever did the staffing here... bravo. I would pay to come here again and again. They know how to handle volume. They understand infection control.
