Just spent two weeks with Dr Connealy and her team! Excellent care addressing issues that might be under lying my cancer diagnosis! Every doctor, nurse, specialist and technician were so compassionate. There was a family atmosphere between staff and patients many who are there for lengthy periods. I would highly recommend Dr Connealy for anyone suffering with cancer early or late stages. The area of Irvine is lovely with lots to do and fabulous beaches as well as restaurants!

Since this was during the covid pandemic, I was allowed to go in only for the initial consultation and for her first infusion. They have a great covid protocol in place, so we never felt nervous about her visits. During the initial consult, Dr. Reese spent a long time with us, explaining in detail about the cancer and about what to expect during the treatments. He drew pictures and wrote key words on some sheets of paper we were able to take home and study. We felt he really cared about her outcome. They have a web portal for communication that allowed us to submit questions and usually had Dr. Reese or a staff member get back to us that same day. They were also great at working through insurance issues with us. We never felt overlooked or ignored, and my wife said all of the front office staff and nurses were kind and helpful. Unlike restaurant reviews where you end it by saying "I can't wait to come back!", well, I'll say we do feel comfortable continuing to see Dr. Reese for follow-ups, and should a similar need arise in the future, UCLA Health And Dr. Reese will likely be the first place we ask for!

I had surgery on Friday the 26th -Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Ambulatory Care building LUCI Health Orange County, CA Again, this place is newish, it looks great. We parked in the gold structure. We came out around the side by valet. ( I don't think it was the main entrance. Because it was a lot of walking to the place we needed to check in) ALSO, they validate your parking ticket. I met, Daniel. He took care of me. Gave me my hospital bracelets and a wheelchair to sit in the lobby. He was extremely nice. I am fortunate and do not have cancer, yet it was at the cancer center. And for the horrible things you see in there, you have to have a smile and keep it together. He did a great job at that. Lobby was very nice!! It had vending machines Places to plug in your phone! AND, my favorite, they had an outdoor lobby attached to the indoor lobby. So you could sit outside and get air They have a nice electronic board on the wall showing who's being prepped, who's going in, who's stable, who's done and etc. they really keep the family updated They were a little late and running behind. I was finally wheeled back where my amazing nurse, GRACIE, took care of me. She sympathized so much with me. She told me she knew girls that were just as bad with my condition and it's horrible. She did everything she could to make me comfortable including bringing me ice packs. When it came to giving me my IV, she had to place it on the side of my wrist. Not my arm or top of my hand. Side of my wrist. And I barely bruised and barely cried lol. Gracie-10/10 Daniel at check-in 10/10 My nurses helping me in the operating room and calming me down were -Ethan 10/10 and I wish I knew the name of the anesthesiologist. Because SHE WAS AMAZING Kristy -10/10 was my nurse while I was recovering My surgeon, Dr. Moskowitz, is also extremely skilled. She's one of the best in her field. So it takes a while to see her. This is my 3rd time going under with her (including a massive surgery with a few other surgeons in the room last, may) The rooms in recovery were nice The bed was as comfortable as it could be They put booties on you Circulation leg compressors And a blanket they hook up to warm air. Also, after I was in bed and prepped (took 45 mins) they called my mom back to see me before my surgery. I kept asking in the operating room for everyone to give me their name so I can fill out the survey and do a review. They just kept humoring me. I wasn't even on drugs yet LOL I was being serious. So, I wish I got everyone. If you or a loved one, especially a child is going through horrible health issues. My heart goes out to you. I pray you don't give up, advocate for yourself and loved ones, may you find the right doctor and God bless

I left the appointment feeling dismissed, disrespected, and uncertain about the level of care I was receiving. I would like to detail the specific issues that led to my dissatisfaction and loss of confidence in Dr. Sachdev's ability to provide compassionate and competent care. 1. Lack of Compassion and Dismissive Attitude I felt that my diagnosis of breast cancer was treated as a minor or insignificant issue. While I understand that Dr. Sachdev deals with cancer cases daily, her bedside manner lacked the empathy and compassion I expected during such a challenging and emotional time. For example, when I expressed my fear about incomplete imaging and the possibility of undetected cancer, her responses did not provide reassurance or understanding. 2. Miscommunication and Gaslighting During our conversation, I expressed concern that only one specific area of my left breast had been imaged via ultrasound. Dr. Sachdev insisted that the entire breast was imaged, but later that evening, the nurse practitioner confirmed that only the specific spot where the tumor is located was examined. This inconsistency left me feeling unheard and invalidated. 3. Inadequate Breast Exam Dr. Sachdev's breast exam did not inspire confidence. She was unable to locate the lump in my left breast until I pointed it out, which raised concerns about her ability to detect abnormalities during the exam. This made me question the accuracy of her assessment of my right breast and whether any potential issues could have been overlooked. 4. Dismissiveness of Claustrophobia and MRI Challenges I was unable to complete my breast MRI due to severe claustrophobia, despite making two attempts. When I brought this up, Dr. Sachdev dismissed my concerns and claimed she had never heard of patients being sedated for MRIs. This contradicts the information provided by the breast center's pamphlet and imaging center staff, who stated that approximately 10% of claustrophobic patients require sedation. The nurse practitioner later confirmed that referrals for sedation have been made in the past, but this option was not considered during my appointment. 5. Lack of Comprehensive Imaging Given that my cancer was not detected through mammograms but was identified only after I felt a lump and requested an ultrasound and biopsy, I am deeply concerned that I have not received sufficient imaging to ensure that cancer is not present in other areas, including my right breast or lymph nodes. When I voiced this concern, Dr. Sachdev's assurance that "cancer cannot jump from the left breast to the right breast" felt dismissive rather than thorough. Steps I Have Taken Due to these experiences, I have requested my primary care physician to refer me to another oncology center. However, I feel it is important to address these issues to ensure no other patients feel dismissed, invalidated, or inadequately cared for.
