I came here to do my pre employment drug screening. I was greeted with a helpful smile and was asked to give my phone number so I could check in online as opposed to physically writing out my checking details. After completing, I was called back no more than 15 minutes later for my screening. The screening took about 5 minutes and the nurse was kind and told me the steps that would happen next. I'm not sure if I just got lucky with wait times but my experience was pleasant. They also have complimentary coffee and cream. read more

Brought my daughter in from a softball game injury. They were quick to get her a wheelchair and get her inside. I did the paperwork, handed it back at 11:54. It's now 1:21, still waiting to be seen by a doctor or even take her for X-rays. Doctor came in at 1:35. Checked her out. Now we've been waiting for X-rays for 30 min. People have come and gone from here who came in after us. This place is a joke Supervisor came in to talk to me and they said they mostly handle worker's comp appointments. I got her to admit they are a clinic that handles occasional urgent care, yet they are listed as urgent care first. read more

The front desk, people and the nurse that took care of me were excellent. There are a few Concentra locations that I would never go to again. Southwest traffic Kansas City, Missouri is one of them this one. This company has a horrible customer service system. Has for the past 19 years that I have had to deal with them. My company forces us to go there. That will soon change. Meanwhile, they don't care about you, or your time. They will let you wait for hours, allowing dozens to slide in front of you. They have mediocre staff at best. Most are graduates of those "s hips" you see on the sides of highways. The medical staff are the bottom of the barrel. It's like a three ring circus, but nothing is funny about it. Took 5 1/2 hours for a drug test (that they almost didn't accept) and a physical for a job. Was waiting for a room while my nurse was hitting on a patient next to me for 30 minutes. When she finished, she led me to a room the farthest away from the other occupied room. I waited 2 hours while hearing whales and cries from rooms down the hall. I walked out to make sure I was on the list (because 2 hours is quite a bit of time). They never checked me in. When the nurse that was doing my physical came in, she denied half of the ailments I put down, stating I was "too young to have ____" and took them off the list without permission. She also stated that my mental ailments would "go away" when I have had them since I started the second grade. She also questioned if I was mentally sound enough to have a job in my field when I have been in said field for four years. Got called a bitch by the nurse that was hitting on the patient because she forgot to give me my urine test and said I was lying about not doing said test. She then proceeded to leave me with my urine cup out in the open to watch a woman have a panic attack in another room because she and her coworker found it entertaining and thought it was "fun to watch". Tried to kick me out because it was closing time before I could get my urine test done when I have been there since 11am. This has been the WORST experience I think ever. I have never felt more like cattle in my life, dehumanized even. Unless you are dying and need a drug test for some reason, DO NOT go to this location, you will be a different man walking out of this god forsaken building. I'm sure no one would make the mistake of actually choosing to go here, but if you, like me, are required to for work, pack a book. This place takes an eternity. I think the first time I needed a physical here I was there for about three and a half hours. When I finally got back, the doctor was in the room with me for, oh, maybe three minutes. Probably one or two. She was rude and didn't even really look at me. She was faced away from me, filling out paperwork, while asking me to walk across the room. Hopefully they don't get anyone coming in for a physical who actually shouldn't be certified because it was the shoddiest attempt at a medical screening I've ever seen. Clearly almost all their "customers" are there for occupational health and their employers are paying because I can't conceive of anyone actually choosing this mess for medical care. I suffered medical malpractice at this facility that nearly cost me my job. I have active malpractice complaints against this facility with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts and pending legal action. Avoid Concentra if you value your health and job. read more

I had to come here for shots/vaccines and a physical for a new job. Will NEVER return. There is NO order, NO appointments, and RIDICULOUS wait times! That lobby was full and at 11:00 they were saying up to 4 hours for a physical and kept letting people come in an sign up. After 3 1/2 hours all I got done was titers. The girl couldn't even draw blood correctly. She called for help (there wasn't any available) so after sitting there with bandaids on both arms for another 30 min another MA happened to come in see the problem and she got my blood right off the bat. This is not practical if you need to get physicals and shots in one day for a new job. It should not literally take an entire day and then not guaranteed to get anything done read more

If there was an option to give 0 stars, I'd definitely give them 0 stars!! I went here for a workers comp injury and they started off saying that a "new injury" would take at least 2 hours. I sit there and notice a lot of people who came in after me went in and got seen before me.. I wait there for 2.5 hours for them to tell me that they couldn't get ahold of my manager to authorize my appointment with them. Turns out I tried calling my manager to try and make the appointment happen and he said that he never even got a call from them. I get called in and they took my vitals and what nots then sent me to another waiting room to sit there for another 45 mins to an hour to actually see a doctor to diagnose my injury. The doctor finally sees me and he orders me an X-ray for my leg and elbow.. I sit there for another 45 mins waiting for someone to take me to get my X-rays.. the lady who took my X-rays was very rude and didn't seem to care about my injury. I finally go back to my room for the doctor to tell me that nothing was broken and I was good to go and had me schedule me a "follow up" a few days later. I spent literally 4 hours there for them to tell me it was just a freaking bruise!! They scheduled me for a follow up and I spent another 2 hours there to just tell them my leg is fine!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone who needs to see a doctor for a simple injury to go here. Go somewhere else!! read more

If you have enough time it's no issue to visit this center if you are time constraint make sure you go somewhere else. The waiting time was longer than expected especially having set an appointment in advance, it didn't matter. Your check-in time is their lead so don't sit down before signed in with front desk. Lots of staff sitting / walking around, helping you 'in between' so you are not sure IF you are helped properly. Was asked three times very loud and kind of rude if I was helped? Uh yes!! Right under your nose madam i am. I'm not deaf nor incapable of answering nicely if you approach me in a fair manner. It's unprofessional to approach a person that way. Gosh! Bless her heart. The nurse that helped me was professional but obviously tired, she took the time needed and I didn't feel rushed or pushed. This place comes across unorganized and unprofessional. All the staff that doesn't administer intake or check-in's should be in another area doing what they are supposed to do. So... almost two hours later I finally was out the door.... good I had the time!!! read more

The first visit I wait over 45mins in extreme pain to get brought to the back. The second visit it took 30mins to get brought back. Once I was back it took them over an hour to get a doctor to see me. This place is not recommended. I understand if you are busy but they were slow. Went in for a pre-employment physical and it went well. The problem is, they have yet to send the results/paperwork needed for me to start eight days later. I was told they would get them sent off, the day I did the test, and they still haven't sent the results. I my get pushed back another month because they have neglected to send my results. I went to the other 95th St location for a pre-employment drug test and physical. To make a very long story short, I was told that my drug test was "positive for something" but they would not say what it was positive for-- after it was sent out to a lab it was reclassified as "no cause for questions or concerns", and they still wouldn't tell me what they saw on the initial screen. It would be great to have that information, considering it's my body fluid and my health, but apparently they don't tell anyone anything. It started my employment off with some tension between me and my Human Resources department. I went back for the physical, and after checking in, I waited over two hours. I knew that others who came after I did were going ahead of me, so I went to the desk to find out why. Guess what? I hadn't been checked in!! I understand mistakes happen, but an "I'm sorry about that" would go a long way toward creating good will. Once I was checked in, I was in and out in 15 minutes. The PA who did my exam was adequate, but very unfriendly and cold. I get it-- they're not working for me, but the atmosphere in there is dark and cold. A few smiles and a pleasant greeting would bring it up a thousand percent. They sent me a text later that afternoon, asking me to rate their service between 0-10 -- I texted back a "3". That was the end of it. I guess they don't want to know why, or hear negative responses. They didn't acknowledge my response at all!! Kind of a crazy way to do business. read more

I was scheduled for a basic medical examination that should have realistically taken 30 minutes to 1 hour. I showed up 30 minutes early with all of the necessary paperwork complete, and then proceeded to wait 3 and a half hours before being called back. The office was incredibly slow and apparently overbooked with people that scheduled mandatory drug tests and physicals for their various occupations. The entire time there was no mention of where I was in line, or any explanation for the long wait until I finally asked how many people were in front of me. After I was called back it still took an hour to get through every test since I had to wait for certain qualified people to perform each test. Absolutely ridiculous; I'd rather have a cavity filled than come here again. I'm giving one-star because they technically completed my appointment, but that's it. read more

Where do I start? First off, the people there are rude. I wasn't even greeted by anyone with a smile the whole time I was there. I wear hearing aids and I went there for an audiogram. I have severe hearing loss. I have to pass the hearing test to go back to work. I was told I can't wear my hearing aids while being administered the hearing test. If I fail the test, I'll lose my job. How in the holy hell can I pass a hearing test if I can't wear my aids? It's time for Concentrate to update their technology to today's standards, not the 1940's, and get equipment so people like myself can wear hearing aids while taking a hearing test. The doctor didn't even look at my chart when she entered the room. The only reason she looked at the chart was to see the cream I had previously been prescribed. I have been to another doctor for a rash on my finger and it spread onto my arms and face. The doctor here looked at my face and didn't give me a diagnosis, she only said "it could be anything". She then would not prescribe anything for the enormous amount of pain I'm in. She at least gave me a steroid to help with the spreading. The only recommendation she gave was to see a dermatologist. The doctor was in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes. Extremely disappointed with this care clinic. read more

This is not your primary care Dr. Mine was a work comp injury. Surgery needed. They got me in, started PT, but also got me out for an MRI with in a few weeks. Once the MRI came back, all PT ended and they got me out to the Dr. that would deal with the 2 issues I had. Both were GREAT facilities. Surgery, than back to PT for my shoulder. 3 times a week. At this point ahead of the game on my progress. (Thank you Kenneth) Should be back to work here pretty quickly. They are CRAZY busy during the day, so I always set my apts. for 1st thing in the am. Would I have chosen this as my place to go, no. Do I have any complaints about the care. No. The girls at the front will treat you how you treat them. Be nice, and they will be nice. Be an ass,,,you get what you pay for. They always have a smile, and a Hiya for me. As busy as this place is, they have to keep things moving and I don't see how they get it all done. This is a joke! I had to go in for workman's comp for a back injury, and it was a fucking joke. They cannot keep any paper straight; I filled out half of the paperwork that I was supposed to, and that half wasn't given to me at all (pre-existing conditions). The doctor didn't even ask me about any of my pre-existing conditions and she prescribed me medication before giving me the exam. When she decided to give me the exam, she asked me to get off the bed. Due to me having a back injury, I was struggling to stand up. She was impatient with me and started raising her voice and demanding me to hurry and stand up. She repeated herself until I was able to get myself stable. Following the crude exam, she prescribed me with muscle relaxers (cyclobenzaprine) and did not explain any of the possible side effects. One of the more serious side effects is an irregular heartbeat. I have a pre-existing heart condition which could worsen due to taking the medication; however, the doctor was ignorant of the matter due to her not asking me about any pre-existing conditions and did not give me the paperwork to fill out. She refused to give me workman's comp and was told to be given "light work". I work as a mover and there is no such thing as light work due to it being a manual labor job; she didn't agree and put me on a 10 pound weight limit. Do not come here if you need a serious diagnosis or if you wanted to be treated nicely. Will not be going here again! read more

Horrible. Tried to schedule an appointment with them for a week. My doctor kept sending over my paperwork, but they could never find it. Finally, on a Friday, the lady confirmed they got my paperwork and prescription for physical therapy and would be calling me with an appointment. When I called back on Tuesday (because they still had not scheduled an appointment for me), the girl said she didn't have my paperwork and she didn't know why the other girl would have told me they would call me with an appointment. She told me to call a 1-800 number for scheduling and said I could bring the paperwork with me. I told her that they had already confirmed they had my paperwork the week before, and that it had taken 4 tries to get it there, and she said "Well, I could try to look for it." Yes. Try to look for it. That's your job. I know your office had it, as I called to confirm before. She just kept saying that I could bring new paperwork with me and I told her to look for it. She asked who my insurance was; I told her United. She said "Yeah, we take that. You'll just have to call that number to schedule." So, I call the number to schedule. The first question I'm asked is, "Who is your insurance carrier," to which I answer, "United." The lady at the 1-800 number says, "We don't take that. It's out of network for you." SERIOUSLY?! After the people at Concentra told ME and my doctor's office that they accept United! I told my chiropractor that I was having trouble with scheduling and when I told her it was through Concentra she informed me that I had dodged a bullet because she would never recommend their services. Staff VERY unhelpful and VERY unorganized. Horrible. read more
