I have had only exceptional experiences with Dr. Rahto and his team taking great care of my health needs. But yesterday was especially important for me as I came into the office in crisis mode regarding my health issues and how that has/is impacting my job/career, my life, and my future - and they made sure that I was well taken care of and spent the extra time with me in order to do so. They were incredibly professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate - something that's rare to find these days as most other medical experiences make you feel like just a number. They made me feel like family. Hayley took the extra time and attention to detail to help me fill out medical paperwork and I felt truly cared for and supported every step of the way. She was incredibly patient with me as I asked many questions and knowledgeable in guiding me through it - I appreciate that more than you know. Thank you all again for the exceptional care and kindness - you've earned every one of these five stars!

The doctor tried to assure me it's TMJ and there is no evidence of ear infection when I repeatedly explained that all markers indicate swimmers ear. They insisted on rinsing out the wax that was blocking the view, even when I questioned that. After the procedure, the doctor agreed it was swimmers ear even though there was "very little redness and swelling". Went home with prescribed ear drops. No instruction on pain medication, but when I asked I was told to take Tylenol. I questioned that versus Ibuprofen and was told to take Tylenol instead. Overnight the condition worsened beyond tolerable so we went to Children's Mercy Blue Valley in the morning. Thank Goodness for that place!! By then there was visible swelling in front of the ear and the canal was so swollen that drops would not go through. CM doctor said that rinsing out was the WRONG thing to do and that we should have been prescribed oral antibiotics in addition to a heavy dose of Ibuprofen to reduce swelling. They placed an ear wick inside the ear to help distribute drops to the middle ear. They put us on oral medicine, stronger ear drops, and a strong anti-inflammatory regimen. The nurse that helped us seemed lost. She did not know how to answer simple questions and I seemed to know more about the condition and care than she did. It might have been the most incompetent nursing care we ever encountered. Our experience at this CareNow location was borderline malpractice and worth of a formal complaint to Kansas State Board of Healing Arts or Kansas Department of Health. If you have an immediate need, please spare yourself the trouble and potential worsening condition, especially with children. Take your kids where the staff is actually knowledgeable!

The staff at the front desk are always friendly and very personable. Amy, Dr. Gatz's nurse is very responsive and so understanding of my crazy work schedule as I travel, and am gone for weeks at a time. I'm very picky when it comes to health care providers, and knowing this, Dr. Gatz has always referred me to a specialist who is exactly what I'm looking for. The new location is beautiful, by the way!

Went to urgent care for a sports injury to the arm and the nurse practitioner student kept asking…read moreabout sleeping on it wrong or leaning on the elbow for an extended period of time. Really unsure what her line of questioning was, as the injury was directly related to and happened DURING a high contact sport. It made me wonder if she was even listening. I won't go into the back and forth details of the exam but if I hadn't pressed for direction on treatment or recovery I would have simply gotten an "I don't know and go see your PCP". If my PCP could have gotten me in for an appointment, I wouldn't have been at the urgent care in the first place. The worst part about the experience was the dismissiveness of the student and the lack of professionalism from the overseeing practitioner. She literally walked out of the exam in a fit. Didn't even end the exam just walked out. I wouldn't recommend this urgent care unless you are in desperate need without any other options. The only positives were the facility was clean and both the front desk and nurse were friendly.

Since I knew my doctor was swamped and I was not dying but just really sick and tired of being sick and tired, I tried it. Wow! I was so impressed. I got there just before the Minute Clinic opened and didn't realize I needed to sign in on the computer. Once I figured that out the door opened and Margo Silva stepped out and introduced herself and asked if I had any problems with signing in. She was a true professional! She listened to my list of what was making me feel so badly and I showed her the over-the-counter products I had been taking. (I've always felt it's best to take that stuff with me.) She checked me over and asked if I wanted to pick up the prescriptions at that CVS or some place else? I told her I'm a fan of Costco and she had everything she needed in the computer and emailed it to them. It was obvious Margo is not new as a Nurse Practitioner. Her office was super clean and neatly organized and she was very neat and clean in appearance. She had a most pleasant personality as well. She gave me a copy of her diagnosis, prescriptions, and my vital signs. I left for Costco with no questions or concerns. I would recommend this Minute Clinic to anyone suffering with a miserable cold. Or any other health related issue that is handled by this clinic. My only regret...I wish I had gone two days ago!

Signed up for a slot to be seen because I was worried that I had a punctured ear drum. 7/17/2022…read more The nurse practitioner called me before I came in at 9:12am. She was very dismissive and even after hearing what happened to me the last time I had a puncture (horrible pain, horrible bilateral infection, had to have a procedure done by an ENT, 3 rounds of antibiotics, pain meds, couldn't hear, and panic attacks), told me she would not prescribe an oral antibiotic because it was too soon for an infection to have developed and "that's not how antibiotics work." She stated that even for a perforation, ear drops are not recommended. When I asked what could be the possible reason that I was in excruciating pain just 4 hrs after the rupture happened last time if infections take 2 days to develop, the response was "It doesn't look like you were seen by anyone in Saint Luke's Health System for that, so I would be unable to comment on what happened before, I can only address what's happening now." She said there would not be anything she could do for me since I did not have an infection yet. The implication was clearly "Don't come in." Not a bit of compassion. I saw a doctor at a different urgent care who told me the nurse practitioner's medical advice was INCORRECT and unprofessional. She was concerned that it was someone in her system and if it had been she would have "called and yelled at them". Her words. My drum was not perforated, yet the doctor prescribed me antibiotic ear drops prophylactically based on my history. I would not trust the bit@h you have working there to treat my DOG. In the words of Big Sean, "I don't fu$k with you, you little stupid a$$ bit@h I ain't fuc$king with you."
