If I could I would give it a 0. Let's start with how many people work there but they move slower than the dmv. Then the service is the worst ever. There is this African American lady that looks like she slept on her back for years and never brushed the back of her head. That attitude is ridiculous. She raised her voice to multiple patients when they asked her questions. I am sorry if she is over her career choice, but she is still getting paid to do a job. After checking out the reviews for the rest of the locations and it's the same service. It looks like the interviews people and decided to hired the people that had given up on life and didn't have customer service skills. I really hope the owners of this medical chain reads the messages. People that come here are seeking help not a disgruntled employee treating you like you are the last thing they needed to see. I usually don't write reviews and I am a very patient person but I'm getting irritated. Started coming here in October due to a needle stick injury from work. The first couple visits were great. But it's getting worse and worse. 1. Came to my appointment on time (5:15pm) for my blood results and got called in away to the patient waiting room. Waited until 7pm just for the doctor to come in to tell me my results weren't ready..........and to come back tomorrow...like NO ONE checked before sending me back there ?! 2. Called the front desk and the lady kept cutting me off and putting me on hold as I'm trying to explain while I'm calling. I had to yell at her to stop doing that. 3. I'm here today for a follow up blood draw. Appt is at 10am. They told me they got a new system and everything is backed up. Got called in at 10:30 (not bad) but now it's been 1 1/2 since I'm been called inside and still waiting for doctor. All the doctor needs to do is look at me and put in the labs so the nurses can draw my blood. (Literally takes 5 minutes) I understand they are behind and have a new system but hey it's not my problem. I have other appointments to attend to. 4. I'm only giving this a two star because the only good thing about this place is the back office staff are super nice and sweet. Once a girl MA told me the wait will be 45 minutes but I had to catch the train to go home. (All I needed was blood work) she went and asked the doctor if she can see me real quick so I can go. I went to Concentra for a pre-employment physical and I had to wait over an hour to be seen and start the process. Once we started the process, I waited another 2 hours to complete the physical. I was told that the wait time was unknown and that it depended on the doctor's availability. Once I started my physical it still took staff another hour to complete my paperwork. Overall my pre-employment physical took over 4 hours. The wait time is ridiculous. This place is horrible. This place deserves a -5 star review. My needs or visit were not a priority. Advertised and promoted to be a 24 hour location. However drug screening apparently stops at 4pm. Still don't understand that one, but okay. Simple drug screening, shouldn't take long right? Should be a fairly quick process, seeing as how I only need to pee in a cup... right? Wrong. There's about 20 people sitting in this waiting room right now, not including myself. And the receptionist told me to get comfortable because they're ALL ahead of me... wonderful. There appears to be no structure at this location. It seems highly disorganized. Because it makes no sense for a quick and easy drug screen to have 1hr+ wait time...(Oh look. One of the employees just walked out for lunch. Fantastic.) There needs to be a separation of services. The person who needs X-rays or blood work should NOT go before someone needing to give a urine sample. That makes NO sense. (There goes another employee walking out for lunch...) TLDR: If your employer tries to send you to this location, request another site. Try your VERY BEST to be sent somewhere else. Because this ain't it chief. This place is terrible. read more

this review is for the clinician, Shane Usher specifically. had to get a TB test done, and he was so efficient and able to expedite my case immediately. i had communicated to him that i was here during lunch break and time sensitive. he immediately checked my status and took care of what he needed to so that i could get going after the procedure was done. he knew i needed the paperwork asap, so he said he would email me the document; not even an hour later, i received the email from him! i know with these public health places health disparity is rampant; however, the clinician Shane truly made the experience positive, and he gives hope to medical professional in the public health field. anyone from concetra reading this review, please celebrate and recognize Shane's care, sense of urgency, and professionalism. i just cannot THANK him enough for the service he provided to me today. read more

my experience at this location was horrible! i came in for a drug test and was attended by a guy named christopher m. and he awas rude from the very beginning he told me to go in the bathroom and pee in a cup and once i'm done bring it out to him and i did just that. but guess what, all that peeing in a cup was just a waste of time because he did not in fact put in my results! so what did he do with my urine specimen!? i want to know. read more

My employer contracts with Concentra to eval Workman's Comp injury. My employer has a big political presence in LA and is a nice, fat client of theirs. It's the only thing that could explain my experience and outcome there. They called out a name similar to mine, I asked do you mean ....? The lady clearly annoyed snaps back, 'no, I meant .....the wrong name" (oh, excuse me) Guess what? She returned a few minutes later. She did meant to call me. I got to an exam room relatively quickly and then sat there another 30-40 mins. Would have prefered to stay in the lobby and watch TV, but they probably tracking patient visits. Getting you into an exam room quickly is good for stats. So, rude lady who calls me in does my intake. Whatever. She proceeds to do my intake with these long, dirty, need of a fill last month, orange claws - no gloves! GROSS! She proceeds to hunt and peck with her claws while sitting across from me on the therapy table swinging her legs through the whole process like she is having the time of her life. Weeee! Room was clean at least. Then, a provider (?) comes in calling me by the wrong name (orange nails did not think to correct my chart after the front office mix up) to essentially tell me that WC doesn't cover psych injury; 'if I had a nickel every time someone came in here with a bad boss.... Are you thinking we should patch you up with therapy and meds and send you back to a toxic environment? The guy's an ahole and he does not like you, he is trying to get rid of you. You should quit.' (What?!) To add insult to my injury, he releases me back to work - that day (it's 5 p.m.) when I am clearly a blithering mess. The the language put on my release stated my injury was not work related. The contact info on my form was to a random clinic in our network I am not associated to with the contact as a low level clinic manager who should NEVER receive WC info on my company's behalf. This is the worst urgent care clinic I have been to. The work flow of this clinic is very slow and unorganized. The employees are not helpful and Indifferent. I came here at 6:15 in the morning and there were 5 us waiting for for an employee to show up. Someone finally shows up after 30 minutes and checks us all in. Some people tried to lie and say that they came first. I had to wait another 1.5hr for the MD to show up just to tell me my lab results because this clinic won't mail you the results. I'm only here because of workers comp. If I had a choice I would definitely not come here. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I'm in the medical field and it nauseates me knowing that a human being can be treated the way the entire staff treated one of our now patients thanks to you CONCENTRA EMPLOYEES ON COLUMBIA & 8TH STREET IN DOWNTOWN L.A. didn't you doctors and nurses and MA's when you graduated under HIPPOCRATIC OATH stated that you were going to treat every human being (patient) with dignity and respect and that's the last thing you guys did this past Tuesday and Wednesday with an injured patient that was sent to your facility to seek treatment for injuries he had sustained at his workplace and i'm not going to say his name just to protect his identity but i'm pretty sure that when i continue with this review all the people that this poor elderly man encountered with will remember who he is!!! Is ashamed that how could a person that is catching the bus to get to your place "CONCENTRA" seeking help because his employer is sending him there you guys make him wait for a very long time in the lobby almost empty and call him 3-4 hrs later to the reception desk just to tell him that he CAN'T BE SEEN that he has to come back the next day!!! So you CONCENTRA "PROFESSIONAL TEAM" make him come back the next day and make him wait for another prolonged period of time in the lobby and finally when he gets to be called in to a room you forget about him and because you guys are about to close some girl told him that he needs to leave because is closing time and he can't stay there! But before that episode he had been previously told by another male assistant, or Dr. or PA or whatever that man was that he is getting the poor patient some pain pills (aspirin, tylenol, advil etc, etc, etc.) which were never given and as the patient is walking out to exit this deplorable medical office service he sees the same male that had offered him the pain pills sitting down feet up on the desk talking blah blah blah and laughing he didn't even notice the patient was leaving!!!! Is really sad that things like that are happening in the medical field and that some medical businesses are only after the money and not about the well living of their patients and thank to the great service of you concentra now Mr. Patient is in our good hands and he comes to our office in Brentwood where he is treated with dignity and respect because we care about our patients and they are our priority!!! So Mrs. SAMANTHA GARIBAY I hope you bring this up to all your unprofessional staff because it is obviously that there is a lot to do on your END. PS. Do not come here!! I called Cigna Health they Refered me here. My son needed stitches and his hand is super swollen. He didn't have his medical ID card and only his Driver License ID and Angie Rosales told me they couldn't take him with just his ID. I finally received his medical ID card and he had a copy on his phone. He then drove there 40 min. Just so the ladies there told him they couldn't find him in the system and send him away. They couldn't take him. I called back Cigna and they told me they were listed as a provider that they should of seen my son. The lack of professionalism and customer service is awful. I'm not sure what type of organization they are running here. The phones ring off the hook, I sat there with my sister whom was waiting for testing for 2 hrs. I called while I was sitting there, no one is picking up the phone and just allowing it to ring, ring and ring. 2 hours have passed and we're now going into a 3 hr wait. No one is updating patients, the patients have to asked to get updated. This facility needs for re-organization and more doctors to be able to treat the patients that are coming in for everything URGENT. I mean isn't called Urgent care for a reason. Smh! I waited an hour and a quarter for a drug test and a TB test. There was seriously a HAIRBALL hanging from the acoustic tiles in the waiting room, in front of the TV. The snack machine was broken, but there was a cold drink machine, hot drink machine, and drinking fountains. A dozen (I counted) construction workers were called in at once; they were all kept together in the back and were drug testing, so perhaps some shady behavior on the job? I stood for my entire jaunt in the waiting room, because besides my regular fear of contagion, I just don't want to sit in chairs where people in sweaty dirty clothes were sitting. The staff called names from the door, and repeated "Amu" a few times, to no answer. I asked if perhaps it was actually AmY, and the guy showed me the chart, which did in fact have my last name on it. I would have been PISSED if I'd missed my long-awaited turn because of a typo, and it made me worry, because what if my job received paperwork with the wrong name and rejected it? It took a while to correct in the computer in the back. As soon as I was brought back, I was asked to put my bag and any pocket contents into a drawer, which was then locked, and I was given the key. They put some blue dye in the toilet (so don't bother putting that in your urine, folks) and sent me in with a cup; sinks are (appropriately) outside the restrooms, so try not to get pee on your hands. There are three counters, each with its own employee, outside the restrooms, just dying to receive your cup of pee. This can be slightly awkward, as there are other patients standing only feet away, looking at you with your cup of pee on the counter; my handler was talking to the other staff and answered the office phone, so I got to stand extra long, although the bloke next to me came out with minimal pee, then was scolded and sent back in to produce a larger sample. There's an immediate test where urine is dripped onto a plastic register that will indicate if you've come up positive for anything, and the worker also puts the rest of your urine into a small container, in case it needs to be sent to the lab. BTW, bringing a prescription you know will cause you to test dirty doesn't help, they have the lab call you for proof anyway. I got my TB test immediately afterward and was sent on my way. Getting the test read two days later was no biggie, as the guy at the front desk did it. Remember to bring back your paper because it'll make things faster. They were unable to provide a copy for my own keeping stating that I'd tested negative. USHW then took an entire week to send the test results to my new employer, which kept me from starting the job (once the guy who hired me finally got to speak with someone - which took many tries - USHW said they thought they'd sent the results already). I really hope I don't get sent back again for anything. read more

Came here for preemployment screen. Called beforehand to make an appointment, and they said they only take walk-ins. I arrived at 8 am and it took 2 hours before the RN finally called me in. Waited another hour before the doctor came in to check me out for literally 2 minutes. I ended ip being here for 3 and a half hours total. Do not recommend!!!! read more

I felt the need to write this review because there are people that do an exceptional job and need to be praised. The person is Carina, she is the assistant to Dr. Barone. I must say that this was my first time visit and I found the Urgent Care Center through Google. The doctor himself did a neat job with the stitches and re-assured my mother that her wound would soon heal. As for Carina, she was very attentive, caring and polite. She anticipated the doctors needs and had everything ready before he asked for instruments, gauze or bandages. In short, she was sharp and on the ball. I was very pleased with the service my mother received. I took my mother in for stitches due to a mishap she had in the kitchen while making breakfast. We hope to see Carina and Dr. Barone again when we return to get mom's stitches removed. Thank you. read more

Came on time, waited 2 hours for my appointment only to be told my results are not ready and that I have to come back next week. These people don't realize we don't have time to dilly-dally, waiting for them to "maybe" help us or not. While I was waiting, they could have checked the results and rescheduled my appointment. This has happened before, where I have waited an extensive amount of time (2-3 hours on most occasions) for like a 5 minute appointment. This apparent lack of staff and customer service is what the medical director and upper management continue to neglect, and what will keep this organization low quality. The reason I give 2 stars is for the physical therapy department, which is 5 stars. They are attentive, caring, and punctual. read more

Here I am again. I have a scheduled appointment, and I'm waiting in the waiting room almost an hour past my appointment time. At least it isn't as bad as last time when I waited 2 hours for my appointment, then another hour for a doctor to see me, then another hour for them to fill out my paperwork, which was supposed to be sent to my employer, which wasn't, and I was supposed to be ordered chiropractic treatment, which also wasn't. So far, this clinic hasn't followed through on any of their commitments, and I've spent more time in this waiting room than I have receiving treatment. If it want for their involvement in the workers comp system, I would never even want to speak their name to anyone other than advising them not to come here. On the plus side, the staff that checks you in in pleasant, but that's a very limited interaction. read more

I have had a great experience at US HealthWorks and have received EXCELLENT treatment from everyone!! The doctors and PAs are super nice and helpful. I feel like I am really being taken care of and will hopefully get better sooner than later. I even told my injured coworker how great US Healthworks was and so she asked her work comp claims adjuster to switch her to the same location as me! In regards to physical therapy - there are 2 great therapists that you should work with: Kurt Burgchardt (the Department Supervisor - he's amazing) and Sergio Tejeda. Sergio is super awesome and even though he is currently not full-time, I hope they bring him on as a full-time PT because he really is great! read more
