I took my daughter there on Monday. It was determined she had Covid. Coughing and runny nose constantly. Doctor said to take robitussin and gave a 2-day school excuse. I went back Wednesday morning because my daughter is miserable. They would not prescribe her anything and told me to take her to the ER. I'm convinced these are not even doctors that work there. I was discouraged by the response I received from the doctor to a question I had during my visit today. Working in healthcare myself, I can see how some questions might come across as trivial but I believe we should always try our best to be kind when we respond to patient concerns. Not only do tone and demeanor matter, they impact the patient's experience and ability to trust that the provider really cares about their health/wellbeing. Thankfully the diagnosis I received today wasn't anything too concerning. If it was, I'm not sure how comfortable I would have been asking further questions about my care plan to the doctor. I understand I was there at the end of the day but that doesn't mean I shouldn't receive compassionate care. read more

Dr Cedrick Smith is by far the best Dr I have met in a long time. I am on a solo trip and got really sick. They got me in within minutes and got me tested. I found out I had covid and the dr was so kind and caring. He prescribed me medication to help, brought me a box of tissues and grabbed me snacks. I started crying because I'm on my own and he was compassionate, telling me if things get worse I can call him directly. I'm from CO and I'm so used to the drs being cold, money driven and pushing you out of the office the second they give you an answer, not caring how you feel or what you want. This service was beyond what I could have asked for. I'm very grateful I ended up here. Wish I could find a primary dr like him. read more

WARNING! If you are injured at your job, do not go here! The doctors here are paid by big companies to lie about your condition so your work does not have to pay for your medical bills. I was injured at work and had a major spine injury. The doctor at Concentra gave me the wrong test (X-Rays) and said there was nothing wrong with my spine. My work then used this doctor's examination in court against me so they did not have to pay for my medical. I ended up homeless after that because I was disabled and could not get medical treatment. This is no joke! These are some serious violations against human rights. If you are injured at your job, you have the right to see a doctor of your choice. I had a car accident back in June while on the job. My company sent me to Concentra for a workers comp evaluation. This location provided exceptional service by being able to work me into the schedule for the initial appointment, provided a thorough evaluation from the nurse and Dr. Smith on my injuries. I also was sent to physical therapy that same day. I am in the medical field and can say I received exceptional service, treatment, and was able to feel myself make progress with healing. I felt like someone truly listened and I wasn't just a number. My therapy was tailed appropriately for my injuries. I would highly recommend this location and both Dr. Smith and PTT Mrs. Hodges. After asking specifically if your doctor is working that day and they assure you he is you find out that in fact he is not working today. Concentra loves to waste my time. I went in to Concentra on N. Post Oak after having been treated at the E.R. for a broken toe the day before. I had to go to Concentra because it is the clinic that my employer uses. They took my vitals but they were not even going to do anything about what I went in for, (the broken toe). I had to ask them, "How about my toe?" "Are you even going to look at it?" "What if it's infected?" With two nurses and the doctor there, the guy working at the window came to cut the bandages of my foot and had a hard time re-bandaging my foot. "The hospital said to go back to work on the 14th." I said. "What do you think?" I said. "We'll let your employer decide when you should return." I was told. "The hospital wanted me to follow up with a Podiatrist." I told them. "That won't be necessary." I was told. They want me to follow up with them. "What for?" "So they can ask me how I'm feeling?" They can do that on the phone and not waste my employer's money. read more

I'd been so sick for almost two weeks with what I thought was the stomach flu. I paid a couple of visits to my regular doctor, he did nothing but prescribe medicine for nausea. Finally, I decided I had had enough, after losing 10 pounds in two weeks and missing three days at work I went to this clinic as the last resource last Monday. The staff was really nice. I'm sure they could tell from my face the level of despair I was in. Immediately, they put me on a wheel chair, offered me bottle water and proceeded to call the doctor. Next thing, they gave me an IV while waiting for the doctor. The doctor came and asked a couple of questions and immediately told me I did not have the stomach flu but an stomach infection. Got blood tested, prescribed medicine and within the hour they sent me home. Not to mention, the medicine was instant recovery, I was able to eat and finally after two weeks observed some colors on my face. $75 bucks with insurance though! The bad: Opens till 5:30 p.m. Closed on Sunday, hence the four stars and not five. read more

I have been a patient here since 9/1/2016 for a worker comp injury. I would have given more stars but this location needs an customer service seminar. Compare this office to the Kirby location it is like two different companies. If you are in pain or hurt plan on waiting and waiting even if you have an appointment. It is extremely normal for me to have an 8:30 appointment and still be waiting till 10 after nine before the nurses aid call me into the exam room. The doctor at this facility spent less than a minute with me and gave me an antibiotic prescription that didn't help. I went to another urgent care,not concentra, and the nurse and doctor there was confused why the doctor at concentra gave me the prescription he did. I was also prescribed steriod so I could sleep. If that doctor had spent any time listening to me, he would have actually helped me. Had I not gone to this urgent care and went to another one, I wouldn't have suffered as much because my partner got the same infection and got better quickly because he got the right antibiotic treatment. Moreover, this place is more expensive than others with cash payment ( I asked for a price quote). It was in network, and they charged my insurance 3x the amount other urgent care did. I was administered lab test I felt were unncessary and was not informed about and then charged hundreds of dollars for, even after insurance. I felt dehumanized and treated like an tool to bill lots of money to. The front desk lady was nasty as hell right off the bat. It was a horrible experience from billing, to a negligent doctor, to rude front desk. I had a better experience with other urgent care facilities. read more

Walked in for Uber physical and drug screening at 930am Friday. In and out in about 1hr. Reception staff was efficient and got me checked in with a smile. Medical Assistant (male)..exact same. Dr. Smith who did my physician was a hoot. Funny and quick...exactly what I needed for my city of houston inducted BS screening. Would I come here if I was dying? Maybe not. This was by far the best experience I have ever had for a general drug screen and physical. The moment I walked in the two women at the front desk were bubbly and outgoing, offering water and snacks during my wait time. A lovely Hispanic and black Woman, so sweet and funny! Then I moved to the back to start my drug screen with a young black gentleman, he was so well mannered saying "yes ma'am" and had a great sense of humor, encouraging and positive about me starting my new job. You can't teach the traits all of these employees possess. When I met my doctor, he was PHENOMENAL and I'm not the type to give reviews often unless its necessary with that being said Dr. Cedrick Smith is what every doctor strives to be, professional, funny, uplifting. He speaks Spanish, he danced his way into the room and just made the entire experience pleasant. 5 stars to this location for an amazing staff from beginning to end and for the complimentary water and snacks during the wait lol read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! I went in to this clinic the other day because my normal dr could not see me and I left with no answers. Dr. Smith did not even talk to me about the results of the tests I had done and didn't talk to me about the antibiotic shot they gave me. He came in once to evaluate me and then never came back into my room and he never told me what he thought was going on. I had two X-rays done and he didn't even talk to me about what he saw in them. I was very disappointed with how I was treated by him. He honestly treated me like I was just some drug seeker looking to get pain killers or something. I would not recommend coming here at all and I will never be coming back!! Worst visit ever and a waste of time and money. The nurses and X-ray tech were both nice though. read more

Waited almost an hour and a half to be seen by the doctor. Was not satisfied by the treatment.

I had to get a biometric screening for my company's wellness program in order to receive discounted medical insurance in the next calendar year. Most years I wouldn't bother because these things always turn into a hassle, but it's been a hard year for my company, so this might be all we get in the way of raises in 2015 so I decided to suck it up and go through with it. I called on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment at this location, and they told me they were out of kits but should receive more Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. I went when they opened on Friday, and when I walked in, they told me they still didn't have any kits. I must have been visibly upset since I had to take the morning off of work to get this done, and the staff collectively begged to help me find a solution including driving to I-10 and Dairy Ashford at rush hour to get a kit to bring back to me at this clinic. I opted to go to another location that was on my way to work, and the Post Oak office called ahead and asked them to take me as a "rush" and faxed my information ahead. In summary, I didn't receive medical treatment at this location, but the people at this clinic seem really great and patient-focused. Although I was disappointed that they didn't have the kits when they said they would have them, they did bend over backwards to make sure I had a solution. I'd go back. read more

I went in because I thought I broke my foot. I had no baby sitter so I had all three of my kids with me, and Their waiting room estimated wait time said an hour so from experience at other places I was anticipating much longer. However, within 15/20 minutes of filling out the paperwork they took me back. The staff was super friendly and helpful. When I needed an X-ray done, one of the nurses came to help me with my kids. The radiologist was fast. And the Doctor came in right after the radiologist took the X-rays to tell me the results! My whole visit once I got back to a room had to have been less than 30 minutes. When I went to check out the had all the paperwork READY for me to walk out the door, even a work excuse, I didn't even have to ask for one, or wait for the doctor to write one up or sign it, i was in and out! Which is what I love! They were again fast, friendly, on top of everything, and then some! I would recommend coming here! read more
