And in today's political climate surrounding reproductive rights, I wanted to someone who give me my options for how to navigate without judgement and based on science. I found Samantha Bleull, MD. Her office staff was fast and efficient and welcoming. She was on time and I didn't have to wait. She was down to earth and really explained all of my options in detail. I am a hospitalist, but my speciality is not women's health or reproductive medicine, so I appreciated that. I was able to walk a few feet down to the breast center and they were nice enough to fit me in for a same day appointment for my mammogram. The front desk staff were so funny, congenial, and really lightened a day that could have turned stressful and heavy. The offices are clean and well lit. It is a LARGE space and could be perceived as overwhelming by some. There are several Vanderbilt specialities housed in this mall-type complex. There are several open waiting areas. A vending machine area with snacks, drinks, microwaveable foods, and microwave meals. Parking is a little hectic, but I didn't have much trouble finding a space. If you have more than one appointment, it is situated in a shopping center with several stores, and are near several restaurants and antique stores.

I have been…read moreto many clinics so I decided to go despite my lack of information since it had such good reviews. I arrived at 5:40pm for the 6p-9p clinic hours on Tuesday. They are only open 2 days a week and I could not wait until 12p Saturday. The parking lot was full, no parking spaces except one handicap space. The other handicap space was taken by a moped and the space between the handicap spaces where wheelchairs are unloaded was blocked by a car parked there. My sister pulled out of the parking spot the car out so I could unload my walker because the car blocked me getting my walker out. Unfortunately the car blocked the wheelchair ramp as well so I had to pick up my walker and put it on the sidewalk. Which speaks more to the clientele of the clinic than the clinic itself. I walked to the door that was marked clinic entrance but was told by a volunteer that the other door was the way into the clinic. And she took the time to walk me down there instead of just pointing. I really appreciated that. The handicap spaces were down from the right door so I walked down to the right door. I entered the clinic to find it completely packed, no seats available. I signed in and sat down on my walker. The waiting area was clean and quiet. There was a water cooler and a bookshelf for children's books. It was a very nice waiting area. After 20 minutes I was called to the desk and asked why I was visiting. I was then informed I needed an appointment. And that they could not make me an appointment because they were not accepting new patients. I was disappointed. Another volunteer came out and said that if I left my phone number that she would call with clinics that were income based. I thought that was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I give 4.5 stars because the business webpage should have been more informative and it would have been more helpful if the desk staff already had alternate clinics on hand. I am sorry if it feels I am nitpicking. I do really appreciate that they offered to do that at all. I was very impressed with the staff. I give myself only 1 star because I should have called since the website was less than detailed. I have been to some many clinics over the years it never occurred to me I would need an appointment or that they would not take clients. I just assumed on past experience what it would be like. I learned my lesson. I will call next time. If they ever take new patients again I would definitely go to this clinic.

Absolutely atrocious! Waited several hours after being told the wait would only be an hour or less…read more Went in to get antibiotics for a sinus infection and pesky cough. The Doctor proceeds to tell me "We don't write presriciptions for antibiotics, We only give out antibiotics if you have Pneumonia, Brocnhitis or strep". Any idiot knows you're supposed to take antibiotics so you don't get the aforementioned. Big Surprise I would need to take X-Rays and series of other unnecessary expensive tests. This is my 3rd experience with Vanderbilt acting in an unethical money grabbing manner. I did get a second and third opinion as I had never heard anything so stupid. A proper reputable medical professional who gave me the prescriptions I needed was appalled at was a told by the clowns at Vanderbilt and confirmed they were just scamming me to spend money. Vanderbilt = Money over peoples health. I do have an onset of Pneumonia and Vanderbilt was not willing to help until I was sick rather than treating the infection I already have to prevent it from escalating. Unbelievable. I'm sure they will send my insurance company a $400.00 bill. I won't get into the details here, but I had the same experience attempting to secure a primary care provider at Vanderbilt. I went in healthy simply to meet the doctor and was coerced into spending money on tests I didn't need. I told them I had just had that panel of blood work done and knew I was not in any danger. After tests came up confirming this, they still tried to blow smoke up my rear end and convince me that I needed their help and monitoring. Everything they told me was out of alignment with the medical specialist I was seeing and in fact not scientifically sound. Stay away from these facilities . The most overrate name in medical! I'm sure government and Pharma funded judging by the amount of misinformation, fear mongering and bullying. Advocate for your own health, today these medical offices are no better than used car sales stores and shady auto mechanics. Buyer Beware

Hi! I have never written a review unless I had an outstanding experience and I need it to be truly…read morerecognized. This will be my first BAD review. Worse than bad It was horrible and completely crushing. I went in wanting to confirm a pregnancy after 5 HPT showing POS. Nurse was lovely. Doctor came in said I wasn't pregnant and test was NEG. I asked how could that be possible if I had so many POS. She said, quote, "we are the experts with medical practice and know more than the HPT." I told her I wasn't questioning their knowledge or work and she said, "well sweetie your not pregnant and that's the answer you are going to get from us today. Usually when a woman is trying to conceive you will read false positives." ????????? I was in shock because I simply wanted to know what may cause false positives at home. She then refused to do bloodwork because , "it's not necessary." I was appalled because she doesn't know how long I've been trying, she doesn't know if I've ever miscarried/lost a child. I paid them the 25$ they required and will never be back. Don't have the doctors name but she was a female mid 40's early 50's maybe. Be careful!

He was extremely tender with our newborn and as parents we felt heard and a part of everything he did. We knew exactly what his methodology was before he had any contact with our child. He made sure all of our questions were answered before doing anything as well. He spent a ton of time with us and didn't simply scoot us out to see his next patient. Highly recommended!
