I went to start my car and discovered the battery was dead. AAA replaced the battery, and discovered the engine would crank but would not turn over. I needed to find a repair shop or make arrangements to ship it home. I began a Google search and quickly began calling "classic auto repair shops", asking for help. The replies ranged from "We can't take you for 2 weeks" to "We don't work on cars that old". I finally dialed Old School Classics in Monee IL. Bruce listened patiently to my predicament and said he would help. I had the car towed from downtown Chicago to his shop in Monee. Bruce greeted me and began working on it right away, with help from Mike and Ray. By the end of the day Bruce had isolated the problem to the EFI control module, one of the many modifications I had made to improve performance. Bruce continued working on my car first thing next morning. He reached technical support at Holley, who helped him verify that that the ECM module was fine. They directed Bruce to a hidden relay that tested bad. After replacing the relay, the engine fired up perfectly. I was very grateful to pay this bill, be on my way and avoid a $4,000 charge to ship the car back home. My car ran perfectly for the 2,000 mi trip back to Los Angeles. Bruce, Mike, and Ray are honest "Old School" people. You can trust their expertise. They deliver excellent service quickly and efficiently.

After many months of promises and excuses they finally completed the work on my bike. They…read morefabricated a frame to mount saddlebags on my Rocker. I was charged $85 to paint it. It wasn't primed and it looks like someone just used a can of rust oleum to paint it and it's already peeling. They mounted the saddlebags with zip ties. I was told that the bags were leather, as I requested. They clearly are not. They mounted the bags on backwards but put them on correctly after I brought it to their attention. They rewired my 3 way taillights because they said they were wired wrong. Now the left brake light doesn't work. It worked before. They did a brake job on it and left me with a bad front brake. Their response was that I should just stop by downshifting. To be fair they finally fixed it. I ordered an led headlamp and they mounted a standard one. They finally replaced it with the correct one. The only things they did correctly the first time was mount a cup holder and a new horn. They had my bike on 04/18/17 and They "completed the work on 07/21/17. In the beginning I was told it would take two weeks max. While I was at their shop while all this was going on I met a guy who had three of his bikes there since February and they hadn't even touched them yet. I was just glad to get my bike back and just wanted them to repair the brake light. I was willing to settle for the substandard work on the bags and frame. But since they've been paid over $2000 in full they (specifically Tommy Creal, the owner) are avoiding me. Their shop has been closed. They have s sign on the door saying closed for remodeling which is bullshit. Their phone has a message from several weeks ago saying they were going to be closed for 4 days because of a backload of work. I've left messages on that phone and their message phone with no response. I've sent emails. I even taped a note over the keyhole on their front door asking them to call me. I went back the next day and the note was gone. Still no response. I am looking into taking action against them through a credit card dispute or small claims court.

Boltz Automotive read my post and reached out to me letting me know what time and day they would be available to look at my vehicle and do a diagnostic on my vehicle for $150 and let me know exactly what work needed to be done and the $150 would go towards the repairs if I decided to have service completed through them. I would say within 24 hours of making the appointment for the diagnostic to be performed on my car and actually bringing it into the shop to be serviced. My car was complete and ready to drive again. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed on my vehicle. The staff at the shop is also all very friendly. 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend the shop to everyone with any car issues. The price I paid was amazing and I'm a super happy customer.

As I proceeded to confirm all details the man started getting aggressive towards me. I just politely asked any questions he had but in the process he started to yell at me and the insurance lady. After that encounter, this place found my Facebook page and contacted me through Facebook and other avenues. This encounter is one of my top unprofessional encounters I've ever witnessed. They went so far as to contact me through a mutual acquaintance. I eventually had to change my number.

Tony recommended at the time that they could also install led lighting on the bottom side of the doors for better lighting and added highlight. The after effect was beautiful as you can see from the photos attached. Over the last couple weeks the doors stopped functioning smoothly so I called Shockwave this morning to see about realigning the hinges. Ten minutes later, I received a message back to bring the car back anytime before 6pm closing. I stopped in during lunch break unannounced today. Their service technician stopped his current project and immediately grabbed the correct tools and readjusted both doors. 15 minutes later I was back on the road - No Charge.
