I love the selection of the fish and the layout pf the store! However their neos did have Cladogonium when I visited and it was mature. When I brought this to the attention of the person behind the counter and showed them the photos they brushed it off as eggs. Any experienced fish/shrimp keeper would be able to distinguish eggs from the fuzzy like appearance of Cladogonium. I hope in the future they quarantine their shrimp. read more

I had a chance to go to Concord Aquarium this pass Friday & it was very easy to find first of all. As I when in the store it had a lot of equipment & tanks. As you walk further in the store you see to the right the cashier & then 2 isles of tanks of all different kinds of tropical fish & plants. Plus you're more than welcome to catch your our fishes. But try not to put to many different kinds or types of fish in 1 container! Please it would help out a lot when catching to bag them. Ginger is a very helpful & knowledgeable fish guru of the fish world. So please go & check out Concord Aquarium & enjoy like I did. read more

I LOVE this place soooo much, sometimes my husband and I just stop by to see what they have in stock since it tends to vary. We recently purchased the most beautiful platinum,butterfly and Japanese koi from here at extremely reasonable prices compared to other establishments. I recommend stopping by even if you don't need any fish just to check out there store. They carry frozen fish food, rocks, decor and so much more. I just wish I lived closer read more

Lots of aquarium stores I've been to aren't as clean and organized as this place. Didn't see any dead fish and overcrowding in their tanks. I have a cichlid in my tank that bullys my other slightly smaller ones so I picked up a healthy cichlid from this spot and he has settled well into my tank and he has put that guy in check. Now everyone in the tank is behaved lol! I definitely recommend this place. read more

This is a really nice aquarium store . Been here a few times and always love seeing what fishes they have. A very big difference in your typical Petco and PetSmart with what type of fishes to choose from they have way more exotic cooler looking fresh fish to choose we from. They even let you choose and pick out your own fish on your own and bring it to the register to get checked out. They have a lot of fishes not so much accessories but a lot of different options of a different type of fishes to choose from. read more

This has been the neatest aquarium store I've been through! 3 years in the hobby and when ever I'm in a new town i visit local fish stores and big box stores. This has been the best soo far a lot of variety fish and fair prices! I live in Richmond and there is a local fish store near me that i absolutely love but i have to admit that this one is at par when it comes to variety BUT Concord Aquarium is neat from the entrance to the back of the store owner is very friendly as well and has public bathroom which is a plus since i have kids with me. Owner let's you net your own fish and picks unless you need a Rumynose haha i have visited this place 3 times and I'm about 20-30 minutes away but i take the trip here because of the quality fish cleanliness and variety as well UPDATE!!! Thank god he is open during these times!!! Have a picky Female betta at home that only likes certain food that Petsmart and Petco do not carry and Concord aquarium had plenty!! Not only was i able to get some much needed food i walked out with rare panda telescope goldfish I've been looking for 2 1/2 years!! One huge thing i noticed is the prices HAVE NOT GONE UP!! Great selection of fresh water fish. Salt water fish selection is limited. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable. It's quite the novelty to catch your own fish. Kids enjoy viewing the many tanks. It's like a fish zoo for them. Highly recommend for freshwater fish, live plants and RODI water. read more

Don't know what I did to deserve this awesome store but was led here when a well meaning customer at a local Petsmart saw me agonizing over the awful state of the fish there and told me that I would find everything I needed at this small business. Located just around the corner from Kinders, there were walls of amazing and affordable fish, lots of plant and tank options too. I felt wholly unprepared for this experience but was ge attended to by the humble owners with comforting and wise suggestions. They had the fish I was seeking at an incredible price. Went back to Concord Aquarium after a couple years just to see how it was as a few local fish stores had closed nearby. It has been improved upon greatly. Didn't see any sick fish. Saltwater was gone, the store was rearranged and more inviting. Bought some frozen and dry food while I was there. Would like to see a better selection of plants, but overall great looking store now. Same owner as before so not sure what happened but keep up the great work! read more

First time back in about 4 years! Same great place for healthy, beautiful fish for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Great selection and the prices can't be beat. A cool new thing they added is you grab a container and net to catch your own fish to purchase. No standing around waiting for someone to help you. You help yourself! Once you're finish, you bring it to the front and the owner will bag the fish and add air in it then you check out. Makes it such an enjoyable experience. read more

They have been in business for over 30 years and are extremely knowledgeable and caring. my son added some fish to his tank and wish we would have known yo buy the tank and all equipment from this store. they even add oxygen to the bags for transporting this fish home. I wasn't paying attention to salt water, so I'm not commenting on that. 10x better than a chain petstore retailer. I'll definitely be back. I would've given 5 stars, but for their narrow line up of unattractive tanks. You won't find higher end aquariums, modern lighting, and decent furniture. Steve has the best selections in the east bay. Very knowledgeable, and helped us get a few tanks going for the first time. I've never had any diseased or sick fish come from Concord Aquarium. Lots of varieties of real plants, shrimp, snails and of course fish to choose from. Skip the big box stores and go talk to Steve. read more

Steve is the most helpful, knowledgeable guy! We went in today for a complete tank buildout. We're talking filter, heater, gravel...the works. THEN my husband and I were trying to decide between a few different types of fish and Steve was so honest and "this is how it is" in his explanation and helped us clearly see what would work and what wouldn't (and which fish were harder to care for etc), which lead us to our decision on what kind of fish we wanted in our tank. We were in there for maybe an hour and a half asking questions (and picking stuff for our tank) and Steve didn't skip a beat in continuing to guide us on our journey as well as handle phone calls and help other patrons in the store. He knows fish, he knows customer service...10000/10 for this gem of a fish store. We drove all the way from Vacaville to go here and we will go back! read more
