Have done business with Concord auto service center with multiple family vehicles since 2010 and was always satisfied with thier work and prices. Recently took my chevy truck for ac service and repair if needed. Got a call and was told needed new hose with cost $531 and i approved it. Went to pick get the truck and cost was $780. They charged diagnostic, two freon recharges and twice the price of a NAPA hose. I now know this is not the same ownership, management and mechanics that I was pleased with originally. Had the most disrespectful experience and service. I paid $1,500 for my daughter's car to be fixed only to later it not work. My daughter called them back to address her concerns and she was disrespected and belittled and hung up on. Who does that? I sense some guilt and dishonesty here... Any small business or hard working quality service would not treat someone so low. Its disgusting! We will be looking into this issue further and taking legal action if any suspicious activity was done to my kids car for them to have her come back for more repairs. You cant trust anyone in the car service industry to have integrity which is such a shame! Do not go here to get your car service and will update this review when we find a resolution. read more

This is my second time dealing with them. Brought in my truck after it started acting up. It felt like the same problem they fixed 2 years prior. When I brought up that they might have made a mistake with their previous work, they were open minded to the idea and willing to look into the possibility of a mistake with no ego problem. The problem was found quickly, it was something else. I have encountered shops in the past that have gotten defensive and angered at the idea of a mistake on their part. They are always very responsive and do good work. The pricing always feels fair, and everyone is always friendly. read more

I went to have my brakes and rotors looked at. Also, all of my lights were on, on the dashboard. I also wanted my state inspection done. They diagnosed my vehicle and told me I would need to get a new ABS Actuator assembly. I took my car to the dealership and was told it's impossible to find out about the ABS as my battery was extremely low. They replaced my BATTERY, and lo and behold, my car is running wonderful again. No need of getting the ABS. So going to the dealership I saved $3800.00. read more

I was in the market for a honesty reliable Machinic to take my cars to and I happened to pass by this quaint little shop in Concord off of Pitt School Road where I met Rob. I came in for an inspection but left with peace of mind. I asked him to inspect my car and give it a once over to make sure it was road ready for the summer. He took the keys, insured me that it was in good hands and sent me on my way. I got a call about two hours later and I have to admit, I expected to get a long list of things that needed to be done since the car was sitting all winter, but to my surprise Rob topped off the fluids, and gave my hard top convertible a clean bill of health. It's been really difficult to find a good, reliable, honest mechanic and I'm happy to say Concord Auto Service is it for me! I respect honesty and will return to those businesses that provide good service and I feel I can trust. The dealer told me my Nissan needed a cooling system flush. Concord Auto checked it out, told me the color was fine and the coolant was good to 30 below zero, and told me it didn't need changing at this time. He didn't charge me for that check and it saved me over a hundred dollars at the dealer. I'll be back to Concord Auto for my car service in the future. read more

He told me that I did not need to do everything this guy from Concord Auto said I needed. Will never go back and gladly taking my business elsewhere. Made alignment few months ago, made around 1500 miles, car started pull to the right, came back and asked to check what is wrong. They checked and said car requires new alignment for the full price again. Seriously?? I need to make alignment every 1500 miles? I understand that alignment is not repair which can last forever but 1500 miles is not enough mileage for such kind of service. Strongly do not recommend to do this kind of service!!! read more

I was a loyal customer for Concord auto service since I moved to the area in 2011, and I am disappointed this is where I have ended up in October 2018. I took my car in for a repeat repair they did some time ago, the water pump for a 2002 2.7 Chrysler engine. The water pump was under warranty so I was initially quoted approx. $850. The first phone call I received from Concord auto was them charging me about $100 more because they forgot to include a valve cover R&R. At that time I knew I needed a motor mount in front replaced and asked for a quote. They called me back and said it would be approx. $350 for the job (mount price $40 on advanced auto) I said don't do the mount replacement. A bit later they called me and said they checked all the motor mounts and found a different one completely broken, I asked the price and they said approx. $110, I said go ahead and replace it (it was in fact broken). The next phone call I received was Concord auto saying I needed a new main timing chain because mine had "streched" like 2 inches. I know that the pin joints in the chain elongate due to wear so I assumed he was exaggerating for emphasis. Here is where the story becomes a cliche'. He said that he could not find just the primary chain anywhere so I would have to buy a kit for over $600, just for the primary chain (found one at O'reilly for $120 in 7 minutes using google). I left this unresolved as he was trying hard to find one and he would let me know. The next morning I called them to report my finding a primary chain at which point they said the would need the whole kit anyway because the parts they had replaced previously were "failing and were out of warranty". Unfortunately my situation did not allow me to walk away from the car so I had to get the job done. After I got the car home (10 miles according to google maps) I checked the fluids because I am a mechanical engineer and I do this to see the job was done. Turns out they did not put oil back into the car when they were done, they also did not finish putting coolant into it. I do not understand why as they assured me they put oil into it before I left the shop. The total bill for this job was approx. $1760 and they had the car for 24 hours after the job was complete. They could not put oil into it? I admit I was irate when I called them to mention their mistake, to which their response was, among other things, "did you check it on level ground?". The final straw was them saying that fresh oil was sometimes really hard to see on a dip stick and was I sure.
