    I needed new tires so my guy friend set up an appointment for me at Mavis Tires in Concord. I arrived and gave the guy at the register my order number. He was personable & professional. I sat in the waiting area while my car was being serviced. The wait was eventful because a fire alarm went off & I jetted out of there! The firetruck arrived in less than five minutes. The clerk explained that there is trouble with the system which causes a false alarm. About two and a half hours into my wait I was told that my car would be ready soon. The mechanic test drove my car because 1 tire indicated that I had low tire pressure. I went ahead and paid the invoice while I waited. I inquired about a warranty in which the clerk told me that it was extra but he never quoted me a price - he said that Goodyear has a year warranty. When the mechanic returned with my vehicle both he and the inside clerk were inspecting the tire. The mechanic pulled my car around as if it was ready. The clerk explained that a sensor was showing the tire pressure to be low but the pressure was in fact correct. He said that I could bring the car back for service. What???? Almost $700 spent & something isn't working properly? I need this to be fixed today because I had no sensor problems when I drove the car to the shop. When my receipt was printed I noticed that my guy friends name was on it and not mine. I advised that since payment could not be taken over the phone directly from my ever so generous friend that I needed my name on my receipt. A phone call was made and then the correct receipt was reprinted. The clerk said that they would repair the sensor free of charge. I was feeling a bit uneasy but I went back to the seating area to wait for the repair. 3 hours later - and I'm rolling away. Lucky for me food options were in the same parking lot! Update: As I'm rideshare driving on the highway my car begins shaking and so does my steering wheel. This is not a bad review so hang in here to see how the problem was fully resolved. I was greeted by two ladies at the front when I walked in. I frantically told them about my issue. I am not excited about having to return but I want the problem fixed fully before I leave. Angie, (Manager) walked outside with me to look at my tires. She spoke car language and explained that my front tires needed to be weighted. She is extremely genuine and reassured me that they would correct the problem. I felt relieved when greeted by female employees. Angie, went on to explain that she has new employees. I definitely understand that there cam be human error in anything. I just need to feel safe on the road. Angie sold me a warranty at a discounted price and elaborated on other services that are offered through Mavis. I am completely satisfied with the customer service and follow up that I received from Angie! I haven't had any other problems with my tires.

    Exceptional service and prices. I had an emergency flat tire and was recommended to stop here. The gentleman who helped me called the warehouse to see if they had my tires in stock and he actually drove in his personal vehicle to pick up the tires before the warehouse closed. I have a compact car with small rims so it cost $78 per tire (they only sell new tires), which is a steal. It was an additional $22 to cover both tires in case of screw punctures. These are the best prices I've found anywhere ! Plus, Mavis is located right beside a Taco Bell, Subway, Papa John's, Waffle House, and coffee shop so it's less than a minute walk in case you'd like to eat something while you wait. The facility itself is also clean and well kept. I live in a Charlotte but I'd come back to Concord just to patronize this business. I'm sold.

    Good work to locate the tires I needed but would love to have them take the time to hide the wheel weights. Looks awful.

    Great work to locate the tire size I needed but didn't take into consideration of the little things such as hiding wheel weights. The initial weights were taken off behind the rim portion but mavis place the weights so everyone can see them and didn't take the time to hide.

    Bad rotors, replaced within warranty but they charged me labor

    We had our tires mounted and balanced along with an alignment. When we woke up the next day two tires were flat. Very long wait periods.

When one became available (can't recall his name) he immediately asked me how he could assist me. I told him I had an appointment. He pulled up the appointment info, took me keys, and had a technician out to the vehicle within 10 minutes - awesome. I sat in the waiting room which was well lit and clean. There was a tv in the corner displaying a car restoration series. Not sure if there was WiFi or not - I don't connect to public WiFi. You can see most of the shop from the waiting area so there's no question as to whether the vehicle is in the shop and being serviced. My Silverado was on the alignment rack pretty quickly. About 4pm, Brandon, the service technician, came into the waiting area to bring me out to the vehicle and show me the before/after specs on the screen of the alignment machine. He broke down what was done and what it all meant. He said he would do a final road test and get me out of there soon. Brandon was super professional in talking with me and also I could tell that he knew his stuff! I saw him drive the truck afterwards as well to verify the repair. I got back to the waiting room and about 15 minutes later the service writer had me at the counter to close out the ticket. The price was as-predicted with no surprises. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need (even on an old high-mileage pickup), and was courteous throughout. He supplied me with a printout of the alignment that Brandon had gone over with me in the shop. From arrival to departure I was there 3pm-4:20pm. Overall a great experience. I would recommend this location.

Took it to another firestone, they say nothing is wrong. Car still overheats. 3rd firestone says this car has blown head gasket. Wow! This company will try and take advantage of you. Concord store has terrible management and will get rude with you on every level. You're just a number to these guys!

He was respectful and took the time to understand the situation, but initially stood by the no-refund policy. However, after I provided documentation from Ford confirming the recall had been completed, along with paperwork from the branch showing inconsistencies, he agreed to issue a refund. I'm grateful the situation was ultimately resolved, but disappointed that it took this level of effort and public pushback to be heard. I wish they had been willing to have a conversation before I had to exhaust every possible avenue. That said, I appreciate that they did eventually make it right. I would give the district manager 4 stars based on our actual conversation--but I'm updating this review to two stars overall because of the level of effort it took to get here, and the prior conversations had with the branch, customer service, and BBB correspondence that all doubled down on their policy regardless of the specific situation.

    My daughter's alternator stopped working. My husband used to be a mechanic, so he started…read moreresearching the job. We are 3.5 hours away and it requires removing AC lines to get to it, so we opt to take it to a shop. We take it to Christian Brothers to have it replaced. They quoted $2500 to do the job which my husband stated was very high. We called a different shop and asked for a quote. They quoted $1300. As we were discussing towing her car to the new shop, Christian Brothers, stated they would match the new quote. While we were suspicious about this, we accepted. They called the next day trying to say they were worried they would break the AC line removing it and wanted my husband to approve a $700 increase to the quote, just in case. Nope. He gave them multiple suggestions on how to remove it without breaking it and told them to call us if they did break it. They didn't end up breaking it. When we got the bill it had unapproved charges on it. They did remive them after we pointed them out. Fast forward 4 weeks later, her car starts acting like the alternator is failing again. We have it towed back to the shop. We only took back there since they did the previous work and it was under warranty. Now apparently the crank shaft is leaking on the serpentine belt causing it to slip. They quoted us $1000. We just got the bill and again it was more than the quoted price and not just a little bit, $500 more. If it wasn't for my husband's car knowledge my poor daughter would have been taken to the cleaners by this shop. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this.
