Below is a more detailed review of what is occurring but overall here the problem.Tint went bad, don't want them redoing it again, wanted some reimbursement because I am having to get driver side redone, Owner (for some reason still has number) threatens for legal action for asking for some money back to help get the window redone even though I offered to show them the tint and remove my negativereview, being that there would be no reason to have the bad review, being I received compensation, got my window redone, and moved. on. Unfortunately for the company, the window messed up isn't the back window. I would be very carful with going here. Who knows who else may have been threatened for expressing their TRUE online opinion. This opinions going to stay, for the yelpers. Don't fall for silly excuses. Yelp people, please critically consider this review before going here. Tint is starting to come off already... And it hasn't even been a year. HORRIBLE!!! There's an issue with the tint shop if it's suppose to be lifetime... due to it being a issue with their quality of work. As with most of the other reviews on here, I assume they were all written after they got it done. Let this be a quality review from 9 months later. I was very happy with my tint when I got it but now the truth about the tinting comes out. Going elsewhere to get retinted, even if it's free to come back to this place. Not worth it. Sorry folks but this isn't your tint shop. People are nice but this will be the third time under a year I've had to take it in again. 3 strikes your out. I've had issues with the tint not being smoothed out all the way, dust being stuck all in the tint, bubbling, and a horrible job smoothing out the back window where the defrost area is. Free or not... I'm going somewhere else. Too much money and out of my way to have something fixed again, that I'll prolly have to come back to get it redone. Not coming back... Went to Bestbuy thinking I could get a reasonably good deal on a stereo with iPod support and I could barely get someone to help me, let alone anwer a question when I finally flagged down an associate. Luckily, Concord Car Stereo exists. I walked in on my lunch break, talked to someone about my wants/needs. He quoted me time and cost - 45 minutes later, I drove away with a new stereo and bluetooth, spending probably the same as I would have at Bestbuy, but with the whole "instant gratification" factor I live for. I had come here after given the run-around at GE Electronics. GE is small, unprofessional, and GHETTO. Anyway, this is about CCS... I made an appointment for 12:00pm on a Saturday and was told my car would take 2.5 - 3 hours. They had a comparable price to GE which I liked. The store salesman was helpful in helping me choose the correct tint for my car based on my needs. By 3:30 I was getting antsy, expecting the car to be be done any minute. By 3:45 I asked for a status and was told the tinting technician took a full hour lunch break instead of a 10 minute pizza break. This time was not factored into my estimate or "start time". By 5:15 my car was done. Initial inspection of the car revealed dozens of water streaks down the sides of the car from the tinting. I was later told this was water only and no clean-up was done to avoid any damage liability (whatever). I gave 3 stars because they did a good job technically, but need to work on their customer communication better. I was never given status unless I asked and was never told the car would not be started until later due to lunch. Thinking it would take just over 2 hours I waited in the waiting room the whole time. And they didn't even have free wi-fi :) read more

Okay, so I went to Fry's on a regular day and on Black Friday to look for a amp n some subs for my car. I thought yet would be somewhere in $300-$450 range. I even spoke to the sales rep n clearly told him my top spending limit. But they kept on telling me "why not spend $700-$1000 n get the best sound. I asked them to quote me the cheapest set n the best set out the door price. Their cheapest was $567 that's just for an amp two subs n the installation, I had to buy my own enclosure n set of wires. That's when I walked out n went to my most preferred n recommended shop from now on "Concord Car Stereo". I went in the store n mike approached to me, since I have done business with him previously. I told him I'm looking for a clear n loud sound system, first think he asked me was my limit. When I told him $500 he hooked me up with not 2 10" not 2 12" that I was looking for but 1 15" sub which not only sound clear n loud but looks perfect in the trunk. All I had to say in the end was WoooooooW n Thank you because I was speechless n couldn't find any other words to say to them at that moment. The original tint job on my SUV lasted 10 years before it started going south, and it went fast. Concord Car Stereo + Tinting got me in on the same day, were straightforward with my options, and were a joy to do business with. After looking at reviews on line and wanting to stick with Rockford Fosgate Products in my truck, I settled on Concord Car Stereo. The project: I had them install dual 10" P3's in a box that fit under the backseat in my Titan XD Platinum as well as a 5 channel amp that replaced the stock amp and powers the subs simultaneously. Cost: Around $1750 Not only is the sound a huge upgrade from stock with the bass now coming from a sub instead of quarter panel speakers, but the install was done very clean. I was worried going into this that I would have a scratched up leather and loose carpet after the install was over. My truck still looks flawless inside. I look for any excuse to go drive around and listen to music in my truck now. I will be back to buy new speakers down the road and probably a light bar. read more

I was extremely happy with the window tint job Concord Car Stereo and Tint completed in my 370Z. I actually had them install 35 in my car, and after a couple days decided to go with 20. Mike, James, Jim, and Ramon at Concord Car Stereo + Tint are second to none in the EastBay! I had some work done on both my 2010 Toyota Tundra and 2011 Toyota 4Runner. I had the whole 9 yards completed: custom head unit, speakers, subwoofers, Bluetooth, Sirius, audio digital processor, etc... The craftsmanship and attention to detail is absolutely amazing! I have had my system in for over 2 years now and it has not short circuited, distorted or cut out on me since (hope I didn't jinx myself). The great thing about the guys at Concord Car Stereo is that they listen to your needs and put together a system that will not only sound amazing but satisfy you in terms of the genre of music you listen to. They offer a great line of Helix Audio but these guys are not product pushers and won't sell you something that is not right for your needs. I have been going to this shop for many years. Upgraded stereo systems in a few cars and tinted few. Always happy with the results. Mike is very knowledgeable and carries high-quality stuff. Recently, tint on one of the windows began to bubble a little after almost 4 years since original install. Mind you, only one of 4 windows. Tint on other windows are perfectly fine. These guys were really good, and nice! I have a Truck, and I wanted to replace the crappy factory door speakers. The owner (I think it was the owner?) showed me several options, and recommended a speaker set that was within my budget. Since they were going in to the door panels anyway, I asked if they could possibly install my new inside door handle (I had the part, and having to roll down the window to use the exterior door latch was getting old). I expected to pay some labor charges for it, but they said no biggie, we'll be in there anyways! Now I'm NOT here to say that this will happen with everyone, but that was my experience. I started to inquire about upgrading my system even further, and he came up with many options, never trying to "up sale" me. Only I was doing the "up selling", LOL. I was even encouraged not to get too crazy. I did ask about a new Radio/CD player with a USB port, and they offered me a new Sony with all of the features I wanted, for a good price (USB Port/MP3/Pandora, etc.). They even gave me a further discount, rounding it down respectively. They could even do it right then, so I waited. It took less time than they estimated. Everyone in this store was super cool, no crappy attitudes or other BS. And it wasn't like I was spending much either. They even accomplished my request to mount the USB port in the dash, but had to order an additional part, which will be in the next business day. I'm likely going to add a sub to get fuller sound. The point being, I left the place feeling like I had NOT been molested (financially). I'd highly recommend you give them a shot... ________________ Added Apr 15th: So, I wanted bigger and more sound. So I had them install an amp, sub woofer, etc. Sounds great now! I was also able to have them exchange/upgrade my stereo to get the same unit with BT, which works great. Couldn't be happier. Shortly after that, I had them install an alarm system. I was hesitant, as I know many that have had problems with after market car alarms. They were straight up with me, and informed me they SOLDER the connections, to prevent electrical glitches. And that I could bypass it. However, if something goes really bad, a tow truck will be required. But, they stand behind their work, and are all class folks. In fact they are ALL rock solid people. Sold! Works fine... read more

I have a 2006 Lexus IS. Took it to Lexus because my navigation froze on me. after the diagnostic, my car showed no bad codes, I was told by the dealer that all I needed was to replace the navigation screen. The problem is that Lexus doesn't just replace the screen, they told me I would need to replace the entire navigation for $2600. I did a little research on line and found out that many other 2006 IS owners were having the same issue, and they were just buying the screen on line, and not the entire navigation. Great Guys! I came in around 2:30 on a Saturday. I got a new stereo installed in about 2 hours. After a little bit of training from the tech, and a little troubleshooting due to some quirks in my car, I was out the door and very happy with the new stereo. Apparently Nissan's will do funny things when you mess with the electronics. They also took some $$ off of the labor and accessory parts cost. That was pretty nice of them! I took away 1 star because the place needs a little bit of attention in the cleanliness department. The bathroom was a lot dirty! The waiting area wasn't all that confortable. If they can spruce up these two area's they have a winning establishment in my eyes! read more

Good experience here. Came in, picked a stereo, they installed it and it was done. Exactly what I wanted and they were helpful in assisting me. My only gripe about it is that I went in last week to check it out, and was told installation would be ~$70 and parts would be ~$40. When I had it done today, parts were only $10. Why the drastic change? I did speak to someone different today so it makes me wonder why the big difference, or if they were just trying to charge me more last week. I did end up getting a different stereo than I had intended last week so perhaps that was it, who knows. Overall a good experience though. :) read more

I got a full car system from this place about 8 months ago. Navigation speakers back up Camara, the hole nine yards they installed everything for Just me in a timely fashion, and it looked good. A few days ago my truck was stollen and I called to see if I could get some prices for the things that they installed, and with in one minute they e mailed me everything that I had put in my truck.
