    Mini grocery haul!
    Arielle A.

I came back here to do some light grocery shopping and ended up getting Korean pancake mix, pickled radish, fried Korean fish cake, and kimbap. The lady who rung us up gave my mom and I some drinks as freebies (she also gave us complimentary coffee candy last time) which was super sweet! So glad to have this place nearby to get Korean goodies that I typically can't find in my local Asian market.

3/12/2022 - Red beans; cream with nuts and dried fruits; green bean layers; peanut/sesame crunch coat

This has become my favorite grocery store. It may not have all the stuff but it has all that I need and more. Since moving after living around the corner for a year, I only get to go once a month as I live about 30 minutes away now. I know in the Bay Area that's nothing but COVID turned me into a quasi-hermit so anything over 15 minute drive is too far. from the ready-made food, I always get their gimbap which I sometimes order for family gatherings. I get their fish egg rolls, japchae and pajeon too. All delicious. I got this delicious bread yesterday that has a red bean layer at the bottom, a cream layer with nuts and dried fruits in the middle, and a green bean layer on the top. Then it's coated with what I think is a peanut/sesame-like crunch. It don't know who supplies it for them but it's delicious. You'll find it in one of brown boxes under the tea section near the register.

    Kimbap at front of store

Came here looking for fresh kimbap. They had some by the front cashier. There was no price or date I assume it was made today. And based on the other stuff I bought it was 13$. I'm not sure if that's how much it always is but that's what I paid. Anyway, it was good, its tofu and vegetables. I got some other items, they had alot of dried noodles, candy, cookies, frozen food and looked like homemade japchae in front as well. Cute little store.

My favorite meal ever - daily fresh kimbap with BOSS coffee imported from Japan! LOVEEEEE

I was craving it since home, especially when our days here have been sweltering. I had no idea where to get it locally, so I asked in a local Facebook group. I was turned on to Super Tehran, which is right by Costco. How convenient! The staff member behind the counter so friendly and helpful! Someone in the group mentioned which brand to get, but I could only see a tiny bottle that said Ayran. They had bigger sizes, but it said yogurt instead. The staff member was happy to help, and confirmed it's Ayran and mentioned there's a mint one as well. I also spotted a variety of Labne, and he shared with me which one was his favorite of that as well. The store is petite, but was quite busy with people. There were numerous things I wanted to try, but I had a fussy baby in tow, so we had to get home. I will most definitely be back and can't wait to try more! The store was clean, had a wide variety of products, plus everything was well in date (sometimes, with international stores, you find that the products have expired or are close to expiration, but this was not the case here, at least in the dairy products I was looking at). I'll be back!

It's located on the borderline of Walnut Creek and Alamo-ish areas, and certainly not in an area most people would be driving by unless you live in this area since it's mostly residential here, or you're driving through Olympic locally for something in that direction that's not the downtown. First things first, it's a small place. It's a local market, so it's not going to be very large. They do have their own parking lot in the front, and there's also plenty of parking in the back as well, so that shouldn't be an issue here even though the store is small. While I've seen some people note this as a Japanese market, it is not. While they carry a small section of Japanese stuff, here, most of the things are very much a Chinese focused type of offerings, from the types of produce, to the packaged stuff here. They'll have some miscellaneous stuff like a section just for pastas and sauces in the right side of the store on a rack, they're mostly a Chinese market. If you need a comparison, they're like a mini 99 Ranch. Price wise, it's about right for this area. If you compare it to other grocery market chains it's definitely not comparable, but for a local market in this area, it's not bad. The fish is indeed on the more expensive side, but it does look pretty fresh at least so there's that. They also have some to-go sushi boxes of stuff. It's nice to see they have a variety of offerings from their sushi to-go options, albeit, not cheap but at least they did look pretty good though. The sashimi boxes looked great because the fish quality appears to be great here. The only thing again, it is a bit pricey for some of these options, so just be aware of that. Green Fish is a nice little market for this area, and certainly will have a variety of things here you may be interested in. Again, it's not a large market, so just be aware of space if they do get busy. The fish counter is literally wedged into the corner of the store, but still offers fresh seafood options for those locally to buy from (albeit a bit pricey). They have offerings of various things akin to 99 Ranch, but certainly more focused on mostly Chinese and Japanese as oppose to Ranch that offers a lot of different Asian brands too. While they have pastas and sauces and stuff, that's basically it for the non-Asian market stuff. This is very much an Asian market. I will definitely want to try out some of those takeout rolls and maybe their sashimi eventually.
