Experience started off nice, except the water was cold so I turned the knob on my own to heat it up. I was never asked how I wanted my nails filed. My massage I don't even feel I can use that word. It was a light brushing with the hands. No music playing in the store. They charged me $60 for a regular Gel pedicure. $60!!! I have never been charged over $45 for a gel pedi. When I told them this is bad business to charge someone so much and not even ask their nail shape preference- they then said .. she can file your nails now for you.. Now that I have already paid $60? No- that is included with service. This is a bad place- do not go! Now I have ugly rounded toes, paid way more than I had planned to. I'm furious. read more

This was the worst nail experience I have ever had. The people there are mean and nasty. I went in for a dip and tip manicure. One of the tips she put on my finger was already broken. It came off 30 minutes after the appointment the color I asked for was not the same color, there's air bubbles all in my nails, they were bumpy, uneven, and did not look at all. Usually I go to a nail salon in New Holland - however this place was on my way home from work and I decided to give it a try. Boy was this the WORST experience! It took an hour and a half, and my nails were almost PAPER thin. I knew they were going to break and they did just that. I had acrylic in my nail bids and they were all uneven lengths. I usually don't write reviews however - this deserved one. I hope they take this review and try to fix & train their employees to do the correct service we are paying for. Very Disappointed. I had a 10:00 appt and my technician was with another customer. I walked right by the manager said good morning and she did not say anything about my scheduled appointment . I waited a few minutes then asked a nearby technician when I should return and she said in 30 minutes. My technician never apologized nor did the manager til at the end of appointment when I spoke to her. They use my time slot for another customer when her technician did not report to work . My time is also valuable and I have been a long time customer. Completely ignoring the situation is quite unprofessional and disrespectful . I will not be returning. read more

Have been looking for a good salon forever. Since covid, my previous salon was just not working out for me. I chose to come up here since I was in the area. I had one of the best salon experiences I've ever had. The salon is beautiful, they have a mobile check in process which is excellent, and a rewards program which includes every 10th visit free. Prices are clearly marked at the counter and easy to digest. Prices are reasonable compared to other salons. I don't mind paying $70 for a good manicure. I was looking for a pink and white French manicure. I saw Lee, she suggested dip powder because it is less harmful to the natural nail. No part of my manicure was rushed, or painful. I appreciated her attention to detail and gentleness while working with my nails. She was particular with the shape and evenness, and my nails uniform and beautiful without the weird bump (which sometimes appears when using dip with an extension.) It was everything I could have asked for and will be returning, despite the 45 minute drive from Newark, DE. I will update at my second visit read more

Place is nicely decorated and clean. i used to get eyebrows waxed and liked it. Went away for awhile and then decided to go back to the same person and get nails done and eyebrows. She couldn't have looked more displeased to see me. Was miserable the entire time. They lack decent color selection and nail add ons. Was told none of them do nail designs (false advertisement). I stopped by Concord Nails last Sunday on a whim while visiting family in the area. I was in desperate need of a gel manicure and found Concord in a Google search. It was a terrific experience from the moment I walked in. I was on a bit of a time constraint but they were able to get me in and out in about 35 mins. I didn't have an appointment and they were able to take me right away. The front desk woman was more than happy to help me find the perfect color and they had an extensive color selection. The salon itself was clean and modern which is very important to me. I didn't ever feel like they were rushing to get done with my nails. My gel mani was only $30 which is very reasonable. I normally pay at least $35. After a week, my mani is still perfectly in tact. Wish I lived near by so I could come back again! read more

I had my nails done here about a year ago, and I thought that it was a good, cheap, casual place to get my nails done. They also had cute color choices. Since I almost never get my nails done, I didn't come back until a few days ago. They completely remodeled, including new comfty chairs and a receptionist. I really liked the new look, and it felt big and spacious. The pedicure chairs also looked really comfortable, although I didn't get to try them out. It was late afternoon/early evening on Friday, and they had plenty of staff ready to go when I walked in the door. They sat me down right away to start my manicure ($14). My manicurist was very nice and friendly, although quiet (I did have a little bit of trouble understanding her because she had an accent and was wearing a face mask and talking quietly, so maybe she just thought I was deaf). She did a great job cleaning up my nails and giving me the exact look I was hoping for with the shape of my nails. The process of the manicure was fairly similar to most nail places- the one awesome part was when they put lotion on your hands, they place your hands in electric hand warmers and massage your shoulders for a few minutes. Very relaxing! Overall, the remodel has made the place a lot nicer, and I think the prices are a tiny bit higher than they used to me. In addition to manis and pedis, they also do waxing (and maybe also facials, but I'm not positive). I walked in with no problem, but I also heard the receptionist taking appointments at the front desk. Most of the people getting their nails done seemed to be regulars. My nails turned out only okay. The employee that worked on my nails was inappropriate. She never spoke one word to me and shoved my hands. While one layer of my polish was drying under the lights, she took out her phone, turned on a tv show, opened her drawer, put her phone in the open drawer and watched the show on her phone while finishing my nails. My 10 year old daughter and her friend got their nails polished too and they said that their nail techs didn't say one word to them either. I cannot believe that I tipped them. I've passed this place so many times but never thought to try it out until now. When I walked in I was welcomed by one of the employees. After picking a color I was taken right away to a station and offered a back massage before starting my nails. I've never had a nail salon offer this before so I gladly accepted. My nail lady was so nice and did an excellent job on my nails! The salon is very clean and offers in tub liners for those who are getting pedicures. The salon also did not smell like nail polish which I was relieved by. My gel manicure was only $30! read more

I would not recommend going here. Despite the other bad reviews I thought I would give it a try. I had a pedicure and full set. My pedicure wasn't terrible, but it wasn't worth the money. It looks all of 10 minutes to do. I only had my nails painted white so it was easy to do, but no real massage, didn't scrub or anything. Now for the manicure. HORRIBLE!! I had a full set put on, the women didn't clean/cut my cuticles back at all! I am day 5 into my nails and they look terrible, and like they have grown out because she never touched my cuticles. I asked for a design, they did NOT match at all! Very disappointing. Then I wanted white nail polish....let's just say they are a dirty yellow just 5 days later. I do NOT smoke so I'm not sure why they turned this yellow in such a short time. The design on one nail got messed up when she put the clear coat on it, and when I asked her to fix it, she started speaking another language and then told me no it was fine. Got my nails done on Saturday but the shape was horrible so I came back Sunday to fix it and Stephanie did my nails on Sunday I had gel polish on and all of the gel has chipped which caused me to peel it off and then my pointer finger broke today. I've been to this salon 2 times. The 1st experience was great. The lady did exactly what I wanted for my fill. The 2nd time was horrible. I went in for a full set. I showed the lady, Vicky (a different lady than the 1st) a picture of exactly what I wanted. She went to town on my nails, she didn't ask me how long I wanted them, & she cut them way too short. She didn't check to see if the nails were matching in length on each hand. She did a shitty job & didn't take her time. For how short & stubby my acrylic nails are it should have cost only $10. This nail salon is a complete rip off. My sister and I decided to try a new place from our favorite nail salon where we live. We were both cut multiple times, no hot towel, no cuticle cuts, careless application of the polish, etc. we got a simple refill with plain nail polish and were both charged $43..... WHAT!!! Poor customer service. The lady who did my nails huffed and puffed the whole time like I was a bother at 7 PM WHEN THEY CLOSE AT 8:30.. never will I ever go back to this place. My mom and I decided to try out this nail salon on Friday (7.26.19) she got a pedicure and I got a dip powder manicure. She told me her pedicure was "so-so at best" and she made out way better than I did. My nails are a disaster. It's been three days and some of my nails are already lifting. It's obvious that the guy I had was completely inexperienced in the process of dip nails. It took him three rounds of soaking my nails to get my old dip manicure off, and there was no nail maintenance like cuticle care or massage. I picked my colors and got to the pedicure chair, I waited 30 minutes in the chair with no one coming to help me. When I did I asked if they could do two coats and they didn't. Then when getting my gel manicure they acted like I had committed a sin against humanity because I didn't get my previous manicure there, the nail technician, Kim made me feel like I was a burden and she would call The Who did my pedicure person over and would give me the worst glare. I don't mind waiting as a walk in, but the sign in sheet system is disorganized and it seems like they prioritize pedicures over manicures. After waiting an hour for a manicure, I saw walk ins immediately get seated for a pedicure. Definitely frustrating at best. The manicurists don't seem particularly talented or friendly. This was my first time trying here. I came for my eyebrows and a pedicure. I was taken Back right away.My eyebrows just needed a touch up. Heyly did my eyebrows and they look great! She brushed them out, trimmed them, waxed and then plucked. Another woman did my pedicure. I didn't catch her name, but she took her time and they look great. The part where she massages felt really food and when cutting the cuticles, i didn't get cut (I'm always worried about that) when she walked me over to the dryer, i was offered a shoulder massage. I've never had that offer at any other salon, so i gladly accepted. It felt good. I recommend this place so far! read more

The guy that some snobby person commented on before with the "swastika" if you were educated you would know that it is the sign Buddhism that predates naziism by 3000 years and has nothing to do with violence and only to do with peace. Secondly this place is a good place that has consistently good technicians at reasonable prices. Is it the best ever? NO! Is it horrible? NO! Bad news first, then good news. Good news about the bad news is that you're probably smarter than I am. You wouldn't decide to get a bikini wax at a place that's named, "NAILS and spa." Clearly the concentration is on nails, not spa services. I got a Brazilian bikini wax. I shouldn't have, but I figured that I needed one and I should just knock it out at the same place while I got my nails done (before, not simultaneously). The wax I got is maybe not the worst wax I've ever gotten, but definitely one of the worst. Perhaps they're better with faces, arms, legs, armpits, I don't know. She used hot wax, but not the kind that hardens (hardening hot wax is the best to use for the bikini line) and consequently a lot of hairs didn't come out or broke instead of coming out. The wax was unevenly applied, and she used the same stick every time she dipped into the pot. I had a lot of patches of hair that was totally missed and -excuse the indelicacy- she didn't get anything around my butt. There was lots of wax still stuck to me when she was done. She was very fast, which is nice, but fast isn't really much of a bonus when I've got to get the hand mirror out later and finish the job. When the hair grew back in later I had a lot of ingrown hairs. Another point for the negative is that a wax here costs the same as it does in other area salons that do a better job. Good news next! Great pedicure and great manicure with acrylic tips for a very reasonable price! My technician asked for my preferences and did just what I communicated. The basic pedicure included leg massage, moisturizer and hot rock leg massage! They had those massage chairs that we all so love, as well. Two weeks later and my toes still look great! My manicure looks good as well. I got acrylic tips in French style (yes, yes, not classy, sue me). Technician told me that they have these neat white tips for French. This means the color is part of the nail foundation so your white tip won't fade, discolor, or chip off. You can choose to paint another color over them later if you get tired of the French. Getting the fancy white base tip is the same price as just getting the French painted on. I could tell that the technician didn't think much of how short I like to get the acrylics cut down, but she did it anyway. When she finished I thought that the tips were a little too square, so I asked her to round them off some more. She did this without complaint, even though that meant she had to redo some of the top coat. The only thing I don't particularly appreciate is that she was a little careless when she tapered the acrylics at the base of my nail so she nicked the cuticle on my pinky and three fingers have divots in the natural nails that I can see now that they're growing out. All-in-all a positive experience and reasonable prices on the nails. Technician was really friendly (I wish I could remember her name...started with a T?). I would definitely go back for fast, inexpensive service. Would be 4 stars if I hadn't foolishly tried the bikini wax. read more

I came in here because they're open on Sundays which seems like that's a rarity among nail places. I shop at this town center all the time but the shops on the Center Street seem to always skip my memory and I totally forgot that there is a nail spa here. I came in because I wanted to get an eyebrow wax. When I walked in I was impressed with how pretty the inside of the salon was. It's very spacious very bright and definitely has the potential to house many customers at the same time. When I got inside there was a receptionist who asked me what service I wanted and I told her eyebrow wax and then immediately I was confused where to go because there's no obvious seating. She told me you can sit at the Circle. The circle is a small round table behind the receptionist desk that is surrounded by six chairs. It's nice but I wonder what happens if there's more than 6 people waiting, where do you go? So when I got there there was already two women waiting for pedicures and about 5 minutes after I walked in another woman who wanted eyebrow waxing. The reception came over and said waxing and moved her arms vaguely like she was doing some sort of magical spell. She seemed to be talking to a woman that she referred to as Stephanie who was doing pedicures and had headphones on and was clearly talking on the phone to someone while she was working on a customer. I don't know how that customer felt but I'm already one that gets weirded out when the manicurist is having a full-blown conversation with another employee let alone this person was clearly on the phone the whole entire time. So an employee came from out of nowhere and said waxing and she touched the shoulder of the woman that just came in after me and took her back. I should have stood up for myself and said excuse me I was here first but I just didn't do anything and instead got annoyed. And that other customer knew that I was there for waxing and she didn't say "oh this person was here it before me." Yes I know that's my fault for not saying wait a second I'm here first. When that woman was done waxing the customer, she vaguely waved her hand for me and said come on back but then she proceeded to go back to her pedicure station and start cleaning up and working on a pedicure so then I was just standing in the waxing area confused because I was told to go back there yet the woman started working on a pedicure. Another employee said eyebrow waxing? And when I said yes she said she'll be right there with you. A few minutes later a random third lady came and she waxed my eyebrows like she was being timed and fastest time was going to win her prize. I've never had my eyebrows waxed so quickly, and it's not a good thing. When she was done with her waxing and tweezing typically I'm used to a person putting some type of cooling lotion or gel over the wax area instead this woman just use a cotton ball to kind of wipe up all the excess wax. From the time that she started waxing to the time that she gave me the mirror and said all done felt like maybe a minute and 30 seconds had past. I know that's an exaggeration. I just didn't enjoy my experience here. When I was walking in I did notice that there was a sign that had a phone number for management and you could call with any comments or concerns but honestly I'm not going to go back so I don't want to call. It's not that something bad happened it's that from the time I walked in to the time I paid I felt like I didn't have a great experience and it's not a place that I'd want to go back and get serviced. read more

Liked one aspect of manicure which was the cuticle cream/tiny heating pads, but polish is chipping after two days. More importantly, tools had not been cleaned and obviously used on another client. I continue in my hunt for a salon which cleans metal tools in an autoclave and discards consumables like files and sanding blocks after each client. Improper hygiene is a potential health risk. BTW, this place was $3 more than I customarily pay so it was not a bargain. Technician spoke very little English. I go and get my nails done here - KIM is awesome. I have pink/white acrylic nails but it's hard to tell..she does an awesome job. I am extremely picky and she is great at filing the acrylic so it's not too thick. Also get pedicures here from time to time- they are ok..i like hot water and long soaks you can't get that in a place that strives on turnover so that is okay.....only bummer is KIM is off on days i have the most time...but when i make an appt. i am right in and out....if you have acrylic's Kim is the gal for you!! read more
