TLDR: come here for beer, the chat, the vibes, the views, and most of the food. I showed up on an early Friday evening. I parked and wandered into the correct door. I asked the host person if I was allowed to just wander into the bar. Received the go-ahead and made my way to the bar. I did have to duck in a few places because I relatively tall guy. The building looks like a converted basement, which admittedly I love. I sat down and was instantly handed a drink menu and a warm welcome. I ordered the Nordic Tea beer and it was delicate and delicious. A few minutes later my dinner guest arrived and we sat and chatted with all the lovely folks running the joint. Particularly Summer who is a born and bred Philly girl. Mad respect for her personality, hospitality, and general energy. She was attentive, and thoughtful about what she thought was best things on the drink and food menu. We ended up taking a picture outside with the glasses and creek in the background. Made our way back inside to have some food and it did not disappoint. I had the chicken sandwich (best thing on the menu maybe), two buffalo wings, olives, and my guest had the tortellini. I nearly had to stop him from licking the plate clean. The wings come in full, and those are always better. The wings aren't fried but they don't miss out on being crispy. We chatted with who I assume was the owner and they have so many cool plans and things coming in the future. Came on a Tuesday at 5 pm. I believe we were the first customers of the evening. It's a bar, very dark inside. The service was very good. The wings were the whole wing. The buffalo wings were okay. I ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. The tomato soup was temperature hot and the grilled cheese was very good and cheesy. I would highly suggest this sandwich and soup. We ordered dessert- blueberry raspberry lemonade popsicle. It was tasty, but you can feel the seeds. Towards the end of was gritty. It was refreshing. It is our fifth visit since their opening and every dinner has been a delight. But today! Arrived on a Sunday for a late lunch; brunch menu time. Burrata appetizer was a perfect consistency, warm and spread nicely over the sourdough. Two of us had their special eggs benedict - homemade biscuit, poached eggs, and prosciutto or roasted broccoli; fantastic. Spouse had a great burger. They have a limited menu, allowing focus on flavor combinations, and all locally sourced. Interesting beers to pair. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic server. Beautiful setting in the old mill. Visited Concordance Ferments on Friday evening. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside on the patio at a picnic bench. Our server Mackenzie was great! Super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had That Gin Thing cocktail which was refreshing and delicious and then I switched over to the beer menu and tried one of their session IPA's which was equally as good. We got the burrata and the hummus starters which we were happy with. They were served with warm toasted bread and some veggies. I was there with 2 friends and we just wanted someplace we could sit and catch up without feeling rushed. This was the perfect spot! We felt like we could relax and we sat there for hours. Mackenzie checked on us frequently but didn't make us feel like we needed to leave when we were finished eating which we really appreciated. I'm really excited about this place and hope it sticks around. Would love to see maybe a guitar player or some sort of music on the patio for summer nights. We will be back again soon! read more

If you are in the area you NEED to check this place out! First, the beer. The staff is super knowledgeable about everything and I think they make a great selection for everyone. I will be going back soon to try the cocktails too! Now the food. First of all, my server was incredible. They walked me through the menu and helped guide me along and made wonderful selections. I like that the menu is small and continually changing but keeping the tavern feel. The food was a home run and perfectly priced too! The pork jowls were a super hit and everything was totally spot hitting. Special note. The bread pudding was the best I have ever had in 20 years of restaurant experience! Kudos! read more

First visit. Not our last. Beautiful day to sit on the patio by the Pennypack, enjoying crisp adult beverages and delicious eats from the kitchen. I started with pickled vegetables. Loved the presentation (small mason jar). Moved on to Goat Cheese Tortellini with exotic mushrooms. Date had Roasted Pumpkin Soup with a side of sourdough bread. The portion was a little on the small side, but again.... All the beer is vegetarian (IYKYK). I like tart and sour drinks, the Harmony Berlinerweisse hit the spot. I took a look inside and sooo charming! Ground level is very pub like and cozy with couches, big tables, and a long bar. 2nd floor is for dining with an open kitchen. Patio is accessed from this level (or walking around the building outside.) Top level seats 50 people for private functions. (Do it!) we spoke briefly with the owner, and I really hope this place can make it. I know we'll be back. read more

I must preface by saying this was clearly an off night for them and they were up front about it. Something had happened and they were clearly under staffed but worked through it. We will be going back and I would not be surprised if this review becomes a 5 star after our next visit. Besides that I like how bold the menu is, the jowl was nicely prepared and the presentation was clean. I wish there was more cohesion to the menu, it seems a bit disjointed but I like how it wasn't safe or boring like you usually get in Hatboro / warrington. The beer was fine but I wish they were as bold with their brews as they are with their dishes. I think this place could be great! High expectations for next time. read more

The food was way above average from a standard brewery. I understand the chef has worked in 2 Michelin restaurants. It shows. the atmosphere was comfortable and the service was very good. loved the outside patio. The PA wines and alcohol drinks were available. read more

Five star experience from start to finish. The drinks, atmosphere, and food were all incredible. Such a historic setting to enjoy a brew and some food in. The appetizers were incredibly flavorful and that theme continued with the entrees. Was one of the best meals we had out in a long time and at an incredibly reasonable price. While the beer menu was small relative to other breweries the variety and brews themself were excellent. Can't wait to frequent again! read more

The good, the bad, the ugly: got here at noon. Not busy, but server seems frazzled because she's been here all week. The news is playing in the background. After awhile we asked could we please have some music. Oh yeah! The house red wine, Mural City Cellars , is very good. My husband had the Apple Cider Donut cocktail-very good. We ordered the Andy Warhol for lunch. Fire roasted tomato soup and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese-chefs kiss! The tomato soup-cold. Asked to have it heated-of course. Now almost done sandwich when soup comes back-asked for crackers or something-soup is bland. They gave us a piece of grilled bread. Thank you. Asked another server for water-never offered. She said of course but my husband had to ask for water again. We finally get it. If you are serving soup-serve with a soup spoon. This place has been open since October. This used to be the Old Mill Inn. I hope this was just an off day. I would recommend for drinks. Will return-hopefully to see it just was truly an off day. The server did take off 15% for the cold soup-thank you for that. read more

We were on our way to Iron Abbey on a Wednesday (burger night), got a tad lost, and pulled into Concordance Ferments, and we are so glad that we did! First - the people. The hostess of the establishment, the bar keep, and our kind and super sweet server ensured we had food, fantastic brews and exemplary service all night. We ordered a small sample of each beer, just to taste and pick our favorite, and it was hard to choose. Each one was interesting, well crafted, and made us glad that we tried them all. We have been all over the world tasting beer, and have not had such a solid line-up. We will be back for the brews. And, the food! A homey grilled cheese with tomato soup, a fantastic and flavorful burger with chips, and a jar of house made pickles - wow! Everything was hot, fresh, well prepared, and delicious. We are driving home, and are so happy with our decision to try this fantastic beer pub that over delivers on the beer, and serves delicious food with love. The service was outstanding. As a first time visitor all of our questions about the different beverages were answered with pride and accuracy. The food was exceptional, we had shepherds pie, goat cheese tortellini, even grilled cheese with tomato soup. The wings were delicious as well, crispy, tender chicken, with just the right kick. The lounge has a lodge-like feeling to it. Leather sofa and chairs, tables with board games. Low wood-beam ceiling. A fireplace, that I wish had been on, to knock off some of the chill in the air. A great job was done converting this 18th century mill into a restaurant and brewpub. The woodwork is rustic but beautiful in the pub. Every beer we tried was wonderful though a bit high octane. The food was delicious and we only had small plates but will be back to try more. The upstairs main dining room was elegant, almost cabin-like, cozy with a fireplace. I had dinner there for a Meetup group of 14 women. The staff was incredibly easy to deal with. The food was wonderful and in a great area. The beers are very unique and the apple cider is great. I got the goat cheese, linguine and it was excellent. I would highly recommend this place for a party or anybody just to go there.! John the owner was a pleasure to deal with. read more

We had a chance to go to Concordance Ferments tonight.. What a great decision! The building has so much history and is on the Pennypack Creek. Our server Angie was friendly and knew the menu well. The hostess was friendly and very nice. Our appetizer of Hummus, veggies and bread was very good. I had gnocchi and Tim had the meatballs both were delicious. The chocolate truffles were delicious. The beers, Overshadow Multigrain Porter and Continental Italian Pilsner were very good. After dinner we had drinks at the bar the Golden Hour was very good. The staff was amazing. We really enjoyed chatting with other patrons. Summer, the bartender, was very personable and wonderful to talk with about the cocktails, beers and just life. Gosh, I was really hoping to love this place because it's in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, myself and my friend were not happy with the meals we had. I ordered the gnocchi. Although it was savory, it was much too salty for my taste and I believe it had lots of vinegar in it. It wasn't a "good tasty". My friend had a fris salad. You could barely see or taste the blue cheese and walnuts. Tasted blah. The staff was nice and so was the ambiance in this old building. I'd probably just go back for the beer. read more
