*******STAY AWAY******* BEWARE! I regret not taking the warnings from other Yelpers about this company more seriously. The 4-star Yelp rating had me put my guard down. I hired Kris to cement my fireplace hearth and it has been a headache at the tail end of our new construction build. The work they have done so far is subpar and they damaged everything that surrounds the fireplace hearth. They didn't properly prep around the floor before applying the sealant and got it all over my brand new wood floors and there are newly discovered dents and a large gash in the immediate area they worked in. They sanded some paint off of my metal fireplace enclosure due to poor prep work or lack thereof. All the adjacent walls are scraped up from their trowels. The edge and corner details are shoddy due to poor planning/prep and inattention to detail. The concrete finish is inconsistent, patchy, and it looks like poorly painted concrete. I tried to be patient and flexible to find ways to mitigate the issues until realizing that Kris is not owning up to the wrongdoings and has stopped returning my calls and text messages. So now I am here to echo the warnings from other Yelpers (and adding one of my own) in hopes to prevent other innocent homeowners from falling into a situation like mine: *******STAY AWAY******* BEWARE! At the moment these guys have 4 stars, I recommend you don't make the same mistake I did, read the rest of the negative reviews. I want to give you guys the shortest version of the story I can, the overall work is sloppy. They were here a total of 3 days, they sent different people with the promise that the new person would fix the prior persons mistakes, there's about five different layers of material in the floor they made, due to them changing their strategies or making mistakes, my worry is that the floor will eventually crack. I was quoted $2,700 for our small kitchen floor (96 x 150 inches), at the end of the day I didn't get what I was quoted for. I tried to figure it out and work with these guys but unfortunately, their work is at a quality where they can not be trusted to fix their own mistakes because it will only produce more mistakes. Luckily Zell only allows me to send $2,000 a day, I'm going to use the rest of the budget to find someone to fix the floor. read more

Run, Don't have him touch your floors as hopefully you won't experience what we have lived through. He asked for more money up front than allowed by law but we paid it to have him start. We chose him because we thought he understood what we wanted and he was a nice guy, someone you thought was upstanding! Then he didn't show up and his workers, who showed up 3 hours late couldn't understand us or our project. They had to come back to do the job over. Again late! He didn't show up the second time, but this time we were able to communicate our desires, however the floor covering did not cure (we had to take our cat to the vet ($655) to surgically remove the resin on his paws). Oh we had to pay over the estimate ( over $2,000 for the supplies we had to buy) get him to return He finally arrived days later to remove the uncured resin and said it would now cure on its own. Then he was supposed to again return to do the final sanding and a protective clear coat. That also has not happened as the floors have not cured. That was back in June/ July. We have tried calling his cell, his business telephone, left messages since mid of Sept. It is now mid October and our kitchen is still in our living room. No answer. I'm disputing the payments as we paid in full and over the estimates and the floors are not finished after 4 months. BEWARE! I used Yelp to find a business that could clean and seal all my brickwork at my house. Kris cancelled the first scheduled estimate day and we rescheduled. That should have been my clue! I hired Kris' company after he gave me an estimate and I signed the paperwork. I text him the night before the job to verify we were still on, no response. I text him the morning of and he cancelled 30 minutes before the job start time. He left me hanging all weekend saying he'd keep me posted if he could still do the job. As more of the new concrete surface continues to chip or flake off, I've decided that this was a colossal waste of money and not a great job. Does this company know their work doesn't last? I figured the last one from another company lasted most of 18 years so that was my benchmark. But 6 months doesn't even come close. This still cost 10k so having that not last more than 6 months really is not that acceptable. Overall still looks great ( from a distance) but I fear pieces will continue to flake off and it will become more of a mess so I will need to dig it all up now. What a shame. read more

We had the misfortune of dropping a brand new travertine table top which broke one corner into small pieces. Picked this shop because of the Yelp reviews. FIRST MISTAKE! I paid a lot of money for this and was promised to get my front walk way with a cement type look overlay. I wanted my walkway to look like brand new cement with broom finish and I was assured by Kris that it would look like fresh cement (emails to prove) After the cement overlay was laid down I was extremely unhappy with the results. First of all the overlay color is BLUE not even close to color of cement which now my walk way looks like an entrance to a Surfs house. I had Kris and his crew come back again to re-do the overlay because there were dark stains all over and it look extremely terrible. After not 1 but TWO additional trips I finally gave up with this company. The overlay is terrible looking, looks like an amateur job with no skills did this. The overlay didn't even go to the edge of my walkway so you see spots of the overlay and original cement. Two months AFTER they put the overlay, there are cracks everywhere and massive chipped overlay cement all over my walk way. Pictures attached show the job that they done... Due to this horrendous job I have no choice but to get my walkway demolished and go with fresh pour cement now. read more

Courteous Prompt Professional Fair Price Quality Work My 8 foot long granite table broke when someone sat on the edge of it. The break went the entire 3 foot width. Called the company for a quote and spoke with Patsy. She was courteous and friendly. I was able to text pictures to the office and then met Kris at the house for an estimate that afternoon. He was prompt and informed. Gave me a reasonable quote to fix table, polish all the granite (it was long overdue) and strip, clean, repair and polish our travertine floors. Scheduled the work for the following Saturday at 8am. A crew showed up on time and got to work. They were done by 3 and the floors and counters looked great. You are very quick to blame the customer but yet it was you personally came out to inspect my house twice. It was YOU who said you will do this, you will do that and fix my concrete. I do not know anything about concrete. If you have done 388 projects all over LA and OC, you would think that you would know what you are doing !!! Aren't you the so called experts??? The 1st time in June 2019 and your company cancelled so many times due to excuse after excuse that I had to re-schedule it in March 2020. Only reason I was patient is that it was for my front and back yard, which I was in no hurry to fix. You then came out again in Feb 2020 and you are the one who made promises saying "Oh we can take care of that, oh we can fix that as well, no problem". I recently purchased a loft with concrete floors that hadn't been clean in years. I contacted Concrete & Marble Tranformerz for a quote on cleaning and polishing the floors. Jennifer set up the appointment and Kris showed up on time, inspected the floors and provided a written estimate within 30 minutes of his visit. I wanted to have the floors completed before my stuff arrived from the east coast, and they were able to get them done right away. After applying the second coat of polish/sealer, I thought the floors were too shiny. Kris came out and agreed to strip them down and reapply a satin finish. They scraped the bejeezus out of my nicely polished floors and just left it like that. Mind you, these are gouges and it looks horrible. They wouldn't fix it unless i paid over 1k more and they called that some kind of deal. The whole job was a rushed mess with them clearly trying to scramble to finish a shoddy job as soon as possible without regard for the finished product. I have waited a few months to write this review since the stripping and resealing of a beautiful slate patio. I received what I thought was a fair estimate of the work, agreed to the quote, and set the day for the work to be completed. I had requested that Kris be present to make sure all details were taken care of as I was unable to be present. He was not, and the workers had completed the job in one day. When I returned, I asked why had they not let the first coat of sealer cure for 24 hours before adding the second coat? They assured me that it was OK the way they did it (adding the second coat the same day), and that the work was indeed completed. I had my doubts, but the work looked OK. Fast forward six months; The patio looks milky, dull, with obvious trapped gases under the seal. A very frustrating experience with a company I thought would get it right. read more
