What a difference a year makes. I had been looking for a Chihuahua statue for my little darling girl who passed away from cancer. Such a brave little girl. I had called around to lawn statue businesses to see if I could locate one. I spoke to a woman at Concrete Creations who said they had Chihuahua statues. I excitedly drove to their location and was helped finding the exact spot where the statue was. Recently, I noticed that the base and feet of the Chihuahua statue had started to deteriorate and crumble. These are outside lawn statues meant for the outdoors. Mine was on the deck in a prominent area as a memorial to my little darling.
Since the statue is for outdoors and in a year it began to deteriorate I brought it back to Concrete Creations to trade for a new one. I spoke a an attentive young man at the customer service desk. He made a phone call to find out if there were more Chihuahua statues to trade it out. He was speaking to a woman on the other end of the line who clearly did not want to be disturbed and did not want to answer any questions or her phone. He had text her before calling and asked her why she wasn't answering his text. By the look on his face he received a snide answer. She stated there were no more Chihuahuas except painted ones (I had not bought a painted one and did not want a painted one) and there was no more mold to make more at this time but they would make more Chihuahua statues in the future. I asked for a refund and I requested to leave my number so that when they do get more Chihuahua statues made they could call me and I'd replace it with one made correctly (I had been told by the clerk that they knew there were problems with some if the statues being made with too much calcium and that's what caused the statues to deteriorate.) I was told no refund would be given but I could use store credit. But they already said they knew I couldn't replace my memorial statue with another like it. I told the clerk it's bad business... this is when I saw the true personality of the clerk. Indifference showed its ugly head. Take it or leave it was the attitude. As we traded for the koi statue and were leaving the clerk said under his breath, go ahead, leave your review. So here is my review. What would have been the harm of making this transaction seamless? When you make a substandard product, make it right. What about all the customers who are tourists who are watching the statues crumble? Well, really I guess we are in the same spot. Stuck with the same substandard garbage. My grandson ended up picking out a bright orange koi. We are sad watching our little Chihuahua statue that was supposed to be a sweet reminder of our darling girl deteriorate right in front of us and no way to replace it or stop it and even sadder is the insult and Indifference we were subjected to by the calloused employees of this once kind and helpful business. I don't recommend spending your dollars here. read more
