This review has to do with the work done by AllState Paving and Roofing LLC to seal my asphalt…read moredriveway. The man in charge (Frank Alvarez) and his two sons did the work, twice. The first time (Feb 10th) they did a reasonable job, but as I asked them at the time, wasn't it too cold, and with rain forecast for that night was there going to be any problems. I was assured that with their 30+ years of experience the surface would be long dry before any rain. Well it didn't dry in time, and in fact over 90% of it washed down the driveway into the ditch. After many phone calls and delays due to weather and a supposed pump overhaul to fix a leak, we finally set a date to redo the job, but not after considerable discussion as to how much I needed to pay (so much for guaranteed work). We finally agreed that I would pay $300 towards the material needed (supposedly 60 gallons). Frank and 1 of his sons showed up and did the blowing to remove most of the current leaves etc and began the work on March 11th. The work on the eastern/upper end of the driveway was reasonably good, but after the 2nd son showed up the spraying and care taken insure a good coating decreased significantly. I submitted pictures that show many areas (by my estimate, more than 300 sq ft) did not even get a first coat, and an even larger area only got a VERY light coating. After having paid a total of $2050.00 I don't feel that the quality of the job comes anywhere close to what I paid or what was promised. I've asked Frank to give me 5 gallons of coating so I can finish the job myself, but after several days he's not answered. I have texted him with an offer for him to correct problems before I did this review, and I've not received any kind of response. I would not recommend AP&R and this crew to anyone for doing driveway coating work. IMHO their work on this job doesn't bode well for other types of jobs either.

I hired this company for a concrete project, and the overall experience was frustrating. During the…read morework, large sections of my yard were torn up. Sod was removed and thrown on top of other grass, trenches were left open, and several sprinkler zones were damaged and responsibility was not taken. My yard wasn't perfect before, but it was grass, not loose dirt, mud, and scattered dead patches. To their credit, they did come back and refill the trenches, restore the holes, and fix the sprinkler issues after I pointed them out. However, I had to rearrange my own plans to be present and make sure the repairs were actually done, which shouldn't be necessary if things were handled correctly the first time. Even after the repairs, the side yard was not returned to its original condition. I attached photos of before they came and after the job. The removed sod was not properly replanted, the area was left uneven, and instead of actual sod replacement I was told they would "drop hybrid seed," which is not a proper fix for sod that was removed or destroyed. The photos show exactly how my yard was left. While the concrete itself turned out fine after coming back to fix mistakes, the landscaping/restoration side of the job fell far below professional standards. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for concrete or landscaping work.
