In addition, the price he quoted was appealing as it was in the ball park with what I had paid two years ago. With the consideration of inflation, I knew he had tried his best to come up with this reasonable price. He has a very efficient team which delivered the material a day before and started the work next day from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm with a crew of 16 workers. During the process, Tim was making sure that the nails did not accidentally puncture my AC lines; the heater vents were properly aligned after the job. They did the routine protection of all my shrubs and cleaned up neatly. Before starting the work, Jim asked for 1/2 of the payment which was a bit unexpected but was reasonable. The other half was paid after the work was done and inspected by Jim the next day. Accidentally, they broke my front door lamp but Scott was fair enough and paid me for an equivalent replacement of my choice as the original model was discontinued. Overall, it has been a pleasant experience with Mammoth, especially all the friendly people I had dealt with. He has a great selection on shingles of very good quality. I was able to match my house beautifully! I told them it was no big deal because I was going to be replacing it anyway, it was an ugly one that came with the house. As I began to walk away the crew leader pointed his finger over his shoulder directly at me and told the crew "esta cabrona" meaning, this b****, blah, blah, blah. I had to tune out, I didn't want to embarrass myself. I have no understanding as to why he would do that to me. I've always thought I was a kind person as others have said to the same fact. I went over and over it in my mind and just started to cry like a big baby. So I put my big girl panties on got together some cold drinks and brought them out to the crew who were all under our tree for shade as they waited for their ride to come pick them up. I wanted to be the bigger person there and hope that would make me and most of all them about me feel better. But it didn't. This was 2 years ago, and yes it still bothers me, call me a big baby, drama queen, karen, I don't care. You just don't do that as a company or even as a human being. They told their boss that they were just gossiping about their wives. And I told their boss and what about the big thumb over his shoulder pointed directly at me? He stuttered as he really couldn't answer that. The roof looks good and I told all of them so. But a day or so later I called the office and the young lady that answered the phone I told, I was going to leave a bad review if they didn't fix the hole in the corner where the roof met and where the squirrels have now made a home in our attic, she said we don't care just as long as you liked our work. She was about as smart as a marble. I apologize for my rudeness. But hurt turns into anger eventually and so it took 2 years to do so As I hear them scurrying in the Attic and sometimes even in the walls. You can say I'm ridiculous, or big baby, or just an awful Karen. But would you want to live with the squirrels? because I sure don't like it. I didn't go outside to take pictures of the hole because now I'm terrified of squirrels. You know how scary it is at night to hear all those noises in your attic?
