As part of a group of multiple homeowners in my area, on May 17 Concrete Hero agreed to polylift sections of our sidewalk. They completed this work for a few of our neighbors; however, on May 31, Concrete Hero advised that additional sections for us would be required to lift to ensure the sidewalks are level. They were supposed to send an updated proposal reflecting the additional cost. We never received the updated proposal/cost info and the work is still not done. We have reached out weekly by phone and email. Concrete Hero has not responded. Would not recommend to others based on the poor communication and responsiveness. Happy to update my review rating if and when Concrete Hero decides to respond and move forward on the job they agreed to. read more

My garage floor was sloped causing water to pool by the door to the house, and the garage door to not sitting flush. I explained that to the estimator and he studied the floor and even Facetimed with someone else before declaring they could do it. I would have considered replacing the whole floor if this wasn't possible because the floor was noticeably uneven, so I was glad to have a cheaper option. Turned out to be a mistake on my part. The workers that came out pointed out issues after they started. It turned into a fiasco and a big waste of my time and money (I still had to pay them). The workers did the best they could and the floor is a bit less crooked but neither of my two issues were solved. I feel I was mislead and I feel like a fool for trusting this company. They should have told me the truth up front so I could have made an educated decision. If you have a simple (not garage) project maybe this company could help. But proceed with cautio. read more

I wanted to fix some decorative concrete on my front porch & garage rain lip for years and didn't know where to start. I also needed to replace a slab of concrete that had a huge crack in it. I called Sam the Concrete man first who replaced the slab of concrete and did an excellent job. He referred me to the Concrete Hero who did the decorative work, and they did an outstanding job. Probably wouldn't expect that on all jobs but in this case it was a nice touch considering I was told it'd be a week to ten days. I called to get a quote on Monday morning, that same afternoon Peter (owner) was able to come out to view our needs. He kept a safe distance and wore a mask (COVID precautions) while taking photos and measurements. He went to his car where he put together a full quote which I was emailed within minutes so everything was contactless. His pricing was very reasonable for the work we requested and he was able to have a crew out here first thing the next morning. The crew was professional, answered questions and took precautions to keep the areas they were working on clean. Once done, they swept and took care of all debris leaving the areas they worked on better then when they arrived. They leveled a sidewalk that had been sinking for quite a few years, removing what was becoming a serious trip hazard. An area by our garage had cracked and sunk and they were able to raise, level and seal making it a lot more presentable. Concrete Hero also caulked the front porch and back patio (cement meets cement/grout), something we requested, to prevent moisture from accumulating in these crevices. Our 37 year old garage floor was badly pitted from years of winter salt. Concrete Hero came in and returned the floor to a smooth surface with a combination of sanding and filling the pitted areas. They then applied the color flakes followed by the binder layer. The finished product is gorgeous. I only wish I had done this years ago. The crew doing the work were very courteous and professional. I called Concrete Hero for a quote and they followed through and provided the quote. The estimator said it would be an easy job and that I would need to remove some boards from my deck in which I agreed upon. I have a deck that is not attached to the concrete in anyway other than hand rail all the way around the concrete. I accepted the quote with the conditions and the pricing with no complaints. I called the first week to make sure they reviewed my email because I received no reply and they said they received it and that someone would be calling me for the day to perform the work. Second week goes by, again, no phone call. The 3rd week I called again and was told the same thing again. At the end of the 3rd week I call again to be told they could not do the work now. I am retired and was an estimator for a very large HVAC company for many years. I have seen companies like Concrete Hero before that scam people and believe this is another one. Please do not trust or allow these people on your property. Contractors like Concrete Hero make excuses not solutions. A good contractor would follow through with a quote. On a side note, a former employee has also spoke up on their shadyness as a contractor.
