This was my second time at a condado, first one in cincy! It was amazing as always. We came for brunch again and it was very delicious. I recommend getting he tres amigos which is a 3 pick of all their salsas, queso and guacamole. I'm a queso snob and their queso is definitely in my top five! Got the wake and bake tacos and they came out perfect! Getting hungry just writing this! Even though I had been to a condado once before, it would have been nice for the staff to help us through the checklist ordering process and how it works. This was not my first visit but unfortunately this time was very disappointing. It was busy but I was seated promptly. The problems centered around the service. Either I didn't speak loud and clear enough or there were problematic issues with the staff. Even the server couldn't describe what she had in front of her, nothing I had ordered . The second attempt was not much better. The portions are not adequate in relation to the price point and the food was not to order. I recently visited Condado Tacos, and it was a less than satisfactory experience. The food was mediocre and uninspiring, but what really let me down was the terrible service. The waitress completely ignored me several at the restaurant. This kind of service really ruined the meal for me, and as we paid, tips were not optional and I was forced to tip higher than I would have. Now the food, I had the ooey gooey taco, the Korean bbq taco, and the bad habits taco. I also had the queso and chips and Mexican street corn with a strawberry margarita. The highlight of my meal was definitely the Mexican street corn it was delicious and the queso was on par, I wasn't impressed with the chips as I had to shift through them to find ones that weren't stale. The only taco I enjoyed out of the three I had was the Korean bbq and it wasn't anything spectacular. The other two tacos were bland and lacked anything other than spice, they had no flavor. I have been twice during weekday lunch. Both times arrived 11:30 to get seated quickly. In both cases, we quickly got drinks but between ordering and receiving our tacos it was 20-25 minutes. Not bad for as popular as the place is, but certainly not incredibly fast. The tacos are very good. A huge step up from Jefferson Social down the street. My dining companions and I have noticed some of the proteins are superior, particularly the pulled pork and the shredded beef. The $1 upcharge shells - questionable if worthwhile. I like the spicy shell. The chimichurri is very good. I am very happy to have a reasonably priced taco place on the banks. These are the best tacos you can get downtown. Recommend. read more

During Opening Day 2022 I went to this location with a group of friends. After visiting for just a few minutes I realized I wanted a beverage and my friend wanted a water. I went to the bar and asked for a bud light and a water and I got a quick reply of "$2 for the water". I was very confused and fought back and they refused to provide a cup of water for free. I quickly slid down to the next bartender and got an extra cup and went to the bathroom to fill it with water. Fast forward 15 minutes and I go and make the same exact request. They refuse again but my previous bartender quickly intrudes with a cup of water. To my shock, I ask why and she says "you were being too annoying so here you go". I continued to ask why and they blatantly told me that "we're selling $5 bottles of water and if we just give free cups away then everyone will ask for free water". Several years ago I noticed this restaurant concept in Columbus Ohio, was so excited that one opened in the Nati. Several times we have tried to go and the place was always packed. The location in the Banks area next to great American ballpark is a perfect location. This is not your traditional Mexican food. An absolutely fantastic place! I almost gave it four stars because when I arrived and sat at the bar there were three staff members working behind the bar and I waited to be greeted. They continued to shuffle around and it wasn't until this really sweet lady who was busy working across the way came to hep me. None the less it didn't spoil the visit. I must say that if you like anything Mexican related then this is the place for you. The value for the price is great. The tacos I got were $4 a piece and they were huge!! They have a great vegetarian and vegan selections. I thought I got all non meat but forgot pollo was chicken haha. It was yummy anyway. This would be great before or after a Red's game. I had Condado for the first time about 5 years ago in Columbus. The first time I didn't love it... it was good.. but I think I ordered the wrong thing. BUT, since Condado has made its way south to Cincinnati.. and I know what to order.. I'm a BIG fan. I can say with 100% confidence that they're the best tacos in the area. I've had condado takeout as well and it's just as good at home as it is in the restaurant. As far as what to order... I always get the Sweet Lucy- which is a hard shell taco inside of a soft shell with queso and guacamole- oh my gosh- SO GOOD. I've had their chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. All are good but I think I prefer the chicken. I always top my tacos with the pickled red onion, (more) queso, corn, and their chipotle crema. When it comes to their drinks- I recommend skipping the house marg and going for a specialty flavor. read more

After a short intro from the server, it is really easy to order, unlike other places. From the choice of shell (soft/crunchy/corn/flour), through meat (pork, beef, chick, NO FISH), to heat level (salsas mild to hot), you will find yourself choosing from tens of permutations. Exciting, each time you come, a new combination awaits you! The drink menu is very satisfying, from house to fancy Margaritas, Cervezas and sangria/wines. Great atmosphere to watch a game and have a beer. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend the food. The tacos all sounded great so we ordered several different ones. I guess I was expecting something a little more traditional but these weren't it. The taco shells are just hard shells from a grocery store with toppings alike. The meat was ice cold on all the tacos making it even worse. The tortilla chips were soaked in grease and tasted like oil. I guess the alcohol sales keep places like this open. read more

Well it's been a while. I've been here a handful of times: with the girl, with the family, with the friends. Nothing but good things to say here. Sometimes there might be a little bit of a wait but it really isn't unreasonable. On top of that, the wait isn't that bad and the food makes up for it. I usually end up getting the JUJU with more chorizo and I love it. Nothing but good things to say. I think the opened a new location in Oakley so if the wait at the banks is pretty bad then head that way. read more

I was very excited to review the restroom at Condado. The art on the walls of the dining room capture your attention and I was intrigued to see what the restroom could possibly encompass. I was taken back by an underwhelming colorless void. But at least it supplied me with all of the necessities that a functioning restroom would need to have. I was soothed by the soft wave of music flowing through the speaker. It was great to see the bathroom was family friendly with the koala kare on the wall in a neighborhood such as the banks. It's a bit confusing at first as they hand you a piece of paper to write out your order, but the servers have always been helpful in explaining. Price is great for the tacos! Condado is a chain expanding throughout the Midwest (I've also been to the Columbus and Pittsburgh locations). Don't be cheap, order the queso! It's a lovely, liquid-y texture that is great with the chips (definitely not a baked cheese in a casserole dish sort of situation). My normal order is two tacos and queso to share - always leave feeling pleasantly full (yet not still hungry like some upscale taco places). I beg of you, us 30 year-old grandmas like to hear our tablemates without shouting...turn down that music a few notches. The location has garage doors that open, long bar tables great for groups. No stairs in or out of the Banks location in the base of the AC Marriott hotel across from Holy Grail and the Reds stadium. I'll start by saying the service was good. No complaints there. The servers were very busy but took our drink orders in a timely manner. I ordered the Paloma, tasty. We started with the "Three bud" appetizer. We got the guacamole, smoked cheddar and the chorizo. I gotta say these were my favorite. We got the very end of the chip bag but our waitress brought more chips... so that was cool. The chorizo was probably my favorite. As for the tacos... they were different than what I'm used to. I tried the Cali green.. my least favorite. I felt like it had a lot going on and I couldn't get a good bite but it was tasty. The found beef was good and I actually liked the cilantro-lime aioli. The last tacos I tried was the sweet heat. I was excited for the habanero-mango sauce but I couldn't really taste it. I expected a little kick of spice but got none. This restaurant has really fallen off. The staff acts annoyed that they have customers coming in. We arrived and were seated after waiting for 15 minutes for our server we had to flag down an employee to send our waitress to the table. Our waitress finally shows up and sits down at the table and proceeds to ask "What do you want" . We waited on drinks and the food was cold. Condado has lost my business and I was a regular there 2-3 nights a week. The management has lost control and let the poorly trained staff get away with what ever they want. read more

I would definitely have to say the SERVICE was not there at all. We traveled all the way from another state, we were hungry and said why not let's try this place. We walked in and did get sat down right away, however, our server never came to greet us or offer us a drink. We had to get up and tell someone we were ready to order & they told us they would let our server know, which they did. We waited a while and watched our server take care of other customers. The location was not full in order for us to even be asked if we would like something to drink. This is why I leave a 1 star review due to the service. We waited about 25 mins before we decided to leave. We gave them a chance & it didn't work out. Would not try to go again to this location. read more
